Republican Victory, PLCA stay Stable, former secretary Maya Darklight called in front of a senate committe, PLCA tries to negociate a bi-partisan government.

Here are the results of the last generals elections in Baltusia. Along with the victory of Wallace Howell, new President of Baltusia.

Republican Party - Conservative Caucus (153 seats) 124 representatives and 28 senators
United Democratic Party : PLCA (100 seats) 81 representatives and 19 senators
Republican Party - Nationalists (84 seats) 68 representatives and 14 senators
Republican Party - Liberty Caucus (64 seats) 52 representatives and 12 senators
Revolutionary Anarcho-communist Party (44 seats) 35 representatives and 9 senators
United Democratic Party - Socialists (37 seats) 30 representatives and 7 senators
United Democratic Party - Liberal (27 seats) 21 representative and 6 senators
United Democratic Party- Social Liberals (26 seats) 21 representative and 5 senators

Aloy-Sophie Green said the electoral could be a disastrous results, since a party that embodies every thing that is wrong with capitalism, won the vast majority seats in the congress and may well be a part of the government.

We are calling Wallace Howell to do away with Partisanship and establish a bi-partisan government. The alternative, an all republican government could be terrible for all of Baltusia, since it would put in important place, people that do not care one bit about their ministry. For example, putting an environment secretary who do not care about the protection of environment, that would be extremely bad for Baltusia. the PLCA was not extreme, nether unacceptable. we have compromised to pass severals bill and I am certain our electors recognize this. and now we need to protect what we gained. we need to protect our rights. If you want to talk about taxes rates, we'ill talk about them, we are open to compromise. We have compromise about several bill in the past, so we are convinced that we ca do it again. We can avoid ultra-partisanship that would damage our country. I'm certain we will fail, but we must make an effort to reach them.

right now, I am very scared for our former secretary of environment, for my sister Maya Darklight, I know she's in trouble and she was quite distant in the last week, but I think this new administration will try to murder her rather to listen to her pleas.

Republicans Win Big in '72 Elections

Image
Senator Sweetwater Celebrating in His Home State of Attano

It would appear that Senator Julian Sweetwater's hardwork has paid off building now just his Caucus' but his party's brand as the recent election proved. The Republican Party scored a stunning landslide victory, capturing 245 Seats in the House of Representatives and 56 Seats in the Senate, taking clear control of both Houses of Congress and more importantly, putting a Republican back in the Blue House, as Wallace Howell was elected President, defeating President Farnsworth by a stunning 18 points in the second round of the Presidential election.

My friends it is a great day for Baltusia. No longer do the Communists and Socialists of the UDP's radical wing control our destiny; we have proven that we have taken our destiny back through a very simple and consistent message; low taxes, low regulations, and strong borders. This very simple message worked and defeated the tax and spend plan of the failed and dyfunctional Farnsworth Administration, brought down from within by opportunitisitic communists who care only for keep their slice of the cake. Even now my friends I'm not that the Communists are trying to convince our fair President Howell to abandon his Republican ideals and support a "bi-partisian" cabinet that shocking no one, is dominated by the Communists with the Republicans given a few slots as a token, despite us having the Majority.

It is time to end this charade 'Comrades'. You want power because you got used to it.. well no more. Change is coming to Johnston, and it will be common sense, change that helps all Baltusians, no just communists looking for a handout.

Sweetwater definitely has reason to celebrate; his Conservative Caucus of the Republican Party captured 28 of the 56 Seats in the Senate, and 125 Seats, just over half of the Republican Party, in the House giving Sweetwater and his allies clear and firm control of the Republican Party in Congress for at least the next four years. It's said Senator Sweetwater is already angling to get his allies into critical spots, with Senator Charles Pickens tapped to take on Attorney General, while Martha Rawlins, is up for election to be the next Speaker of the House while Sweetwater is widely expected to take his place as Senate Majority Leader.

With immense electoral losses, UDP Chairperson Hanson blames the recklessness of the communists
Johnston, D.D., December 12th, 4472

JOHNSTON - Two months after the fallout of the 4472 elections in October, the UDP is shattered and is desperately trying to repair its public image. In a public address just a week after the elections on October 6th, UDP Chairperson Sidney Hanson blamed the recklessness of the communist faction in generating a national scandal, along with an embarrassment for fellow UDP cabinet members and Senators alike.

"It will be a very long time before we will ever recover from the sheer and utter recklessness the communists have generated for our party. The blight they have brought upon our reputation has only dampened public opinion towards us and has continuously given the Republicans fuel to set us ablaze with. This is truly an embarrassing day to be a member, Senator, or House Rep of the UDP."

He rallied for even more public support about rooting communism out of the party agenda and supported a bipartisan investigation by the Attorney General into the Secretary of Environment's long rumored illegal activities.

OOC: The two articles posted by the PLCA refer to a senate hearing that was initiated on the Baltusian discord, and have yet to be published on the forums. I formally ask that the PLCA delete these articles, as they are inconsistent.

CJCS moves to reform Armed Forces
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs orders major reorganisation of Baltusian Armed Forces
Image
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Jack P. Marsten speaking at Johnston Circus.
Johnston, D.D., February 12th, 4473.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Jack P. Marsten announced that after consultation with the Secretary of Defence, the Vice-President and the President, he would be leading a massive overhaul of the Baltusian Armed Forces, in a move that would work towards reversing decades of mismanagement and incompetence in the Armed Forces. It has long been debated that within the Baltusian Armed Forces exists structures which have proven to be inefficient as it pertained to the development of the BAF as a serious military force. General Marsten, who had been recently appointed to the position of Chairman of the Joint Chief's of Staff (the highest ranked commissioned officer in the armed forces), stated that he had been applaud by the lacklustre state of the Baltusian Armed Forces after decades of neglect and mismanagement from various governments and his predecessors. Marsten is a career general educated in the Northern Council Academy for Military Studies. He stated that with Baltusia's entrance in the Northern Council Treaty Organisation (NOCTO), Baltusia needed to be on par with the other nations of the alliance. Percival stated that he had envisioned a Baltusia which will in the future lead the organisation as its most powerful member.

Marsten's first round of reforms come in the form of battle group reorganisation. Currently, with the modernisation of the armed forces, the need for a robust system of administration as it pertained to battle formations was needed as a means of ensuring the continuity of order within the Armed Forces. Marsten's reforms will be mainly focused on the Army and the Marine Corps, whereby he intends on ushering in new battle formations in the form of rapid response brigades, QRF Divisions, etc. Although the reforms are aimed at battle groups, they will place an extreme emphasis on the officer's corps. The conflicts in Dovani revealed the need for a major revamping/reorganisation of the armed forces in favour of junior officers and decentralised military decision-making and removing the sentiment that Command and Control elements are in place to micro-manage the affairs of the squad/platoon. In a modernising armed force command, control and communications; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance disciplines must be exercised by commanders within the Baltusian Armed Forces.
General Jack P. Marsten wrote:Our armed forces cannot advance unless we come to the realisation that we have to move as a team. Warfare is a sympathy of perfectly timed moves, and strategically important pauses. If we are to push the notion of modernisation within the BAF, it is imperative that we target our modernisation efforts on the officers, and squad elements before we seek to advance any further cause in the name of modernisation.

To this end, in-order to satisfy the needs of a performance-capable armed force, the Baltusian Armed Forces must make moves necessary in championing the sentiment of more professionally trained young officers as a means of promoting teamwork and competence at the squad level and thus removing the centuries old tradition of command posts being given to the most loyal instead of the most qualified; expand military education in the fields of command and control, infantry warfare disciplines including squad and platoon tactics, mountain warfare tactics, arctic warfare tactics, desert warfare tactics and urban warfare tactics. By extending officer competence in these disciplines the Baltusian Armed Forces develops a competence-driven command and control structure capable of achieving any military objective and introduce competence in the highest echelons of the armed forces. The spirit of the unit is set at the top. When the leadership of an armed force display a complete lack of concern for the welfare of its soldiers such attitudes seep through the ranks reaching to the squad/platoon in some cases. To that end, General Marsten stated has stated that Baltusia has a long way to go before it can be considered a serious military power.

Review of video Game, the adventures of inquisitor Toxicwaters

Today, Special Edition, Maria Hill and Andrew Miner are reviewing a video games released by members of the Pro-life communist faction. It seem to put the players in the shoes of caricartural version of Senator Julian Sweetwaters. The Inquisitor Toxicwaters is a man who hates woman, hates homosexuals, communists and who seem to define everyone who is not a republican as a communist. IN the first episode, the Inquisitor is fighting agaist Marionne Tousseau, who is described as a tyran of Commercials regulations, and when he defeat the minister, the union fall down, the maximum salary is abolished and employers are seen Mistreating treating their employee like slaves, saying that if they don't like their current, they can always leave and find another. and the episode end with the inquisitor calling the employes, inferior being with no brain.

It is quite a harsh critic of the current government and it seem to despite quite unrealist consequences, like if we abolish the minimum salary, enmployee are going to enslaved, if we abolish the current quota, the wild life will be extinct. It seem every action this inquisitor enact lead to catastrophes. personnally, we never got confortable with the game, because it put us in the life of an extremely evil man.

PLCA leader repeat that he wants the truth

I said it before, I want the truth. I don't think its correct for secretary to meet

Aloy-Sophie Darklight

The PLCA Senator of Santiago was reacting to the recents comments made by Chairperson Sidney Hanson, who said the reckless actions of the communists cause the lost of the UDP.

I don't agree with that analysis I believe it is more likely that the other faction of the UDP where not able to gain as much public support as they wanted. We also believe it is because the UDP made no attempt to protect the rights we have gained under the last congress, while the republicans where focused on morally, that we have lost. We also believe that our failure to organised recyc-Baltusia early, along with inexperience of our secretary hurted. Both our secretary were inexperimented and did not receive any help, so they tried to organise themselves as best as they can. I fully understand that my sister made grave mistake. but I don't have the heart to condamn her, she is still my sister, even if lately. For not, she's at my house, and She's been extremely depressed, and i'm trying to support her the best I can. At first she was worried to get arrested for not respecting a law adopted by congress and not she's likely to going to get arrested for etheir obstruction of justice or corruption. As much as her current attitude distress me, I will continue to support my sister.

The Chairman can cry about communism, he can blame us, yes. But living in the past is not the way our party was constructed, so we are not going to play in his little game.

CONGRESSIONAL TIMES
A newspaper dedicated solely to the politics of Congress

Senator Wainwright Tears into Former Secretary Darklight
November 4472

Image
Chairman of the Senate Committee for Government Oversight, Republican Senator Marcus Wainwright

In a special session of the Senate Committee for Government Oversight, Senator Marcus Wainwright, the new Republican Chairman of the powerful watchdog committee, tore into former Secretary of the Environment Maya Darklight, in a brutal three hour session.

Darklight was called before the Committee in reaction to the news breaking last month that Senator Yugi Green of Westbrooks, reported that the former Secretary had been possibly had a run in with organized crime and had reported it to the Federal Investigation Bureau. FIB Acting Director James McCloud had no comment, stating simply that the Bureau doesn't comment on active cases.

Senator Wainwright took her to task, with a relentless barrage of questions on the situation she found herself in. The Secretary claimed that she had been offered 30 Billion dollars by an unknown criminal mastermind called "Reina" on advisement by her former Director of Communications Patrick Longfield. The Secretary claimed that "Reina" offered her money to complete the Recyc-Balusia project in March of 4471, after the Senate Finance Committee rejected her bid for a financial injection. Reina alledgely wanted multiple favours, including sexual ones, if he was going to hand over the money. The Committee was not convinced.

Senator Wainright questioned every facet of her story, including asking why it took her 17 months to bring the story forward, was there any proof the meeting ever took place, if there was a photo of Reina, amongst other questions. The Secretary said no on all counts.

Deliberating for barely 5 minutes, Senator Wainwright dismissed her claims as nonsense, stating bluntly that he did not believe her, dismissing the issue and handing it back to the FIB to continue their investigation.

In a short quote the Congressional Times he had this to say.

Honestly this is the craziest story I have ever heard, and that is saying a lot. The kind of tale she told belongs on television or a movie. Whats truly shocking and disappointing for the former Secretary, if she was telling the truth at a minimum she is facing Obstruction of Justice and Breach of Trust charges for failing to disclose she was offered a gift, and for covering up the knowledge of a crime for over a year and a half. If she had come forward earlier it might have made a big difference. Now the only question is going to be "Why did you wait? You know how bad it looks?" Even worse yet, if the FIB find out she actually accepted a bribe she's facing Corruption charges... something now seen in the United States at a federal level in a long time.

The investigation is slowed as currently the Senate is still debating the appointment of a new FIB Director, though reportedly Attorney General Charlies Pickens has selected and vetted a candidate.

Arrestation a of Maya Darklight, a scandal cries her Brother.

Today was a big day for the nation. Former secretary of State was arrested by the FBI. Her brother, of the current leaders of the PLCA said this was scandalous.

This is a scandal, instead of trying to find we truth, we seem determined to arrest and put a depressed person in jail. Maya's did not quit the house in last few months. She only play with Lily, our doggy when she feel good, but way too often, she seem so depressed. Almoss as she was going to kill herself. Seeing her in this state is terrible for me. I really want to know what i can do to support my sister, but I can't help her.

It is reported that the former Secretary Darklight came into contact with a person from organised crime, and did not report this fact to the authorities, it was reported by the Senator Yugi Green.

Former Secretary Darklight Arrested FIB Confirms

Image
FIB Director Winston Danforth Speaking with Reporters

The Federal Investigation Bureau has placed disgraced former Secretary of the Environment under arrest today, FIB Director, Winston Danforth confirmed earlier today.

Yes I can confirm that Miss Darklight has been taken into custody prior to her hearing. We have been informed she is suffering from depression and has been placed on suicide watch for her own safety. Thank you.

Former Secretary Darklight's fate has been speculated on for months, with many expecting Danforth and the FIB to charge her with simple breach of trust or obstruction charges in regards to her role, and the events surrounding the Recyc-Baltusia scandal. However reports were astonished to learn that the former Secretary is being charged not only with Obstruction of Justice, but also with tampering with a dead body and first degree murder.

Bureau spokespersons have refused to offer specifics about the case, beyond the actual charges themselves. Rumours have begun to circulate that Attorney General Charles Pickens himself is picking the prosecutor that will execute the case.
