Republican Party pursues mixed relations with Luthori
President Madison invites Luthorian Prime Minister to visit Baltusia
President Madison has outlined that he wishes to increase ties with Luthori and has offered an open invite to the Luthorian Prime Minister Ernie Attridge from the Luthorian Workers Party. After a meeting with the Luthorian Ambassador to Baltusia, the President highlighted that Baltusia shares bonds of history and blood with Luthori, Baltusia having been a colony of Luthori after the North Seleyan Wars and most of the white population of Baltusia claim Luthorian ancestry.

Former President Adams invites polygamists to emigrate from Luthori to Baltusia
Separately, former President Adams has caused a minor diplomatic embarrassment with Luthori by openly criticising recent Luthorian domestic legislation that criminalises those who practice polygamous relationships. Prior to February 4929 Luthori took no active legal position regarding such relationships, although now the Luthorian authorities will actively prosecute those who pursue a polygamous lifestyle. Former President Adams outlined that Baltusia already had immigration laws that preferenced migrants from Luthori as a "desirable" nation and since 4908 had explicitly legalised polygamy.
Former President Adams speaks at the General Synod of the Latter Day Hosians.
Former President Adams is a well known and at one point most powerful member of the Restorationist Church of Eliyahu and Latter Day Hosians, a Hosian Church originating in Baltusia, with perhaps 1-2 million adherents Terra wide, although mostly in Baltusia. Former President Adams discussed that Baltusia was a more welcome environment for those who believed polygamy was was consistent, and even encouraged, in both the Katub and Annunciation, although it is worth noting that most Hosians disagree with this. It is not known if any polygamists in Luthori are Latter Day Hosians, but it is likely that this is an attempt to encourage growth of the Church in Baltusia through migration.
