New Attorney General Introduced; Baltusia First dissolved
February 26th, 4482
Johnston, D.D.: Baltusia has a new Attorney General and his name is J.P. Murray. That name may sound familiar as he is the son of current UDP Chairman, Rep. Joe Murray, Sr., and until his appointment to the Attorney General's office was a U.S. Representative for Westbrook. Prior to being elected to the House, J.P. Murray worked in the State Attorney General's office in Westbrook after graduating from Castle Rock University's Adams School of Law. His appointment marks the first time under a Republican government that a bi-partisan cabinet has been proposed.
Attorney General Murray had his work cut out for him as his first full day as Attorney General was spent briefing the press regarding the recent development in the Electoral Fraud investigation by the FIB.
Transcript from Attorney General J.P. Murray's Press Conference Regarding FIB Investigation into Electoral Fraud
A.G. Murray: Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for being here today. I'm going to cut right to the chase here. The FIB has concluded their investigation into electoral fraud committed during the 4480 election. Their investigation found that wide spread electoral fraud had been committed by several senior level members of the Baltusia First Association. After finding said evidence the FIB made several arrest of those responsible and the FEC immediately shut down Baltusia First as a political party in our nation. Also uncovered in the investigation was that these same members of Baltusia First also actively committed electoral fraud in 4476 in favor of Sage Kinney of the former PLCA. It is unclear whether they were actively trying to help Miss Kinney or simply trying to create a cover for their plans of wide spread electoral fraud in 4480.
-
Marshall Taylor (LEX News): Attorney General Murray, with these findings are you saying the PLCA did not commit electoral fraud?
-
A.G. Murray: That is correct. Despite the non-sense and tomfoolery spouted off to the media by Miss Kinney, These findings completely clear the PLCA of any wrongdoing. However, they did benefit from the crimes committed by the Baltusia First.
-
Taylor (LEX News): Will the PLCA be reprimanded?
-
A.G. Murray: That would be unnecessary as all of their members have resigned from Congress, so take that as you will.
