United Democratic Party achieves clean sweep in snap elections, Social Liberal faction promises reform
"We have done the impossible—We've secured a constitutional majority and reformed our political system. This is a great day for not only Baltusians, but for our country as a whole."

Yet another triumph for the two-party system as the United Democratic Party won a clean sweep in snap elections proposed by the Democratic Party, who mysteriously disbanded their faction. Now the Republicans are the minority in both legislatures of Congress. The first to speak out about what's to come in way of reforms, the Social Liberal faction of the UDP promised stronger environmental protections and pushing for egalitarian reforms, along with a formal assessment of the economy, as the risk of spillover from Valruzia's economic recession looms over the nation.
The people have spoken and their demands have been answered—Our party has triumphed in the snap elections and pushed out two terms of conservative rule. We have done the impossible—We've secured a constitutional majority and reformed our political system. This is a great day not only for not only Baltusians, but for our country as a whole. But this is only the beginning. Ahead of us is a long road of reforms to build a better future for us all. I end with our faction's motto: "Everyone deserves better". Well folks, let's make that message ring true!
A response from the Republican party as to these developments has yet to be seen.
