In a move to expand the label's genres, Wave Records has formed a subsidiary label, called "New Dawn Records", focusing mainly on country music, in the most legendary music capital of Baltusia: Rutledge, in Ralston.
Home to a rich history of musical genres as well as artists, the city is no stranger to numerous record labels being headquartered there. With the formation of New Dawn Records, yet another is added to the list.
The freshly appointed President of the label, Lyndon Strickland stated that the company had already seen a flood of up and coming country artists submit demos to them, with two already being booked, them being Johnny Cheswick and Marlon Harrison.
When asked about the move, Wave Records's CEO, Giuseppe Briguglio spoke largely about the potential to the people of Baltusia's heartland—Mainly those of Ralston and northern New Egelion. Briguglio saw it as stepping outside of the box of it's usual repertoire of it's VEMI acquisition, which was mainly pop and techno. "There's much more of an audience out there than just the big city of San Luis. Simple people out in Baltusia's heartland: Farmers, ranchers, millworkers, you name it. I believe it was practically inevitable to create a country label."

With the formation of Wave Records's country label, New Dawn Records, the subsidiary reportedly saw a flood of demos being sent to them from up and coming country artists the whole nation over. Two of which were seasoned country stars Johnny Cheswick and Marlon Harrison, with Cheswick producing such classics as "Quick Metal", and "San Fierro".
Marlon Harrison, being somewhat older than the rather young Cheswick, stated his reason for signing was to put newer labels into the spotlight, and to hopefully entice further burgeoning country artists.
"Y'know, it's all about putting the new labels on the map. I've heard of VEMI before, and those Valruzians could make some good sound, I won't deny that. Now they're under Wave [Records], and now they're getting their foot in the door of Rutledge. Felt it was a good gesture to give them my blessing. Shoot, with me joining New Dawn, I bet they'll stand a good chance of getting some solid talent over the years."
Despite having yet to produce a studio album from both artists, the new label is already reporting to be making thousands of dollars, after striking a licensing deal with Cheswick and Harrison's other labels to begin distributing their music.
