⠀⠀After receiving substantial military and economic aid from Yingdala and Vanuku, the King and Queen are seeking ways by which to express their appreciation on behalf of a grateful nation. Vanuku has sent a massive amount of military materiel at next to no cost for the Kingdom, while the Yingdalans have provided naval vessels, aircraft, and technical expertise to the Royal Armed Forces, in addition to conducting a number of joint military exercises.

⠀⠀Speaking with Phra Rath for just a short while, Her Royal Majesty the Queen revealed that she was hand-embroidering silk garments for the Empress of Yingdala and the Queen of Vanuku respectively. "With a heart filled with humility, I wish to convey my sincere gratitude to our two closest allies," said Her Royal Majesty. "I hope that this small and trivial gift will accomplish that aim."

⠀⠀Her Royal Majesty disclosed that she was using silk initially gifted by His Imperial Majesty Emperor Yu Li of Yingdala during the King's state visit to that country in 4743: "I pray that [the Empress] shall not find this regifting distasteful, for I could think of no greater expression of the unity between our peoples than to embroider upon this divine fabric and share it with the two ladies."

⠀⠀Alternatively, His Royal Majesty the King has decided to deploy alongside soldiers in the Royal Army to personally train with the Yingdalan and Vanukean arms. His Royal Majesty is reportedly quite fond of the simple yet rugged Vanukean tanks, having first driven one during a military drill near the southern border with Kimlien. However, having spent his military service in the Royal Air Force, it is said that King Khemkhaeng is equally eager to train with the fighter aircrafts granted by Yingdala.

⠀⠀"His Royal Majesty wishes to express his appreciation to his brother-in-law, as well as his good friend in Vanuku, by personally training with the materiel so graciously transferred to the Royal Armed Forces," read a statement provided by Nueng Sagarik, Secretary to the Bureau of the Royal Household. "In all that he undertakes, the King acts with a singular motivation: to ensure the prosperity and security of his people."

⠀⠀Of course, the Peacock Throne acts in concert with the elected government, which has been exploring opportunities for greater economic integration with the two countries. Prime Minister Kamon Thongyai has announced a series of reforms aimed at facilitating greater protection for Yingdalan and Vanukean investors who wish to capitalize on the Kingdom's growing economy. PM Thongyai has argued vociferously on the floor of the People's House in favour of foreign direct investment from its allies, firmly rejecting any intimation that such investments jeopardize the Kingdom's economic sovereignty.

⠀⠀"His Royal Majesty and His Imperial Majesty share a familial bond!" stated the Prime Minister in a testy exchange with Opposition Leader Sanit Phamornsut (Orchid Society), "Bonds of blood cannot be trampled, nor so easily disregarded. In all that they have done, have the Yingdalans and Vanukeans not demonstrated a commitment to the security and sovereignty of Hanzen?"

⠀⠀To the Prime Minister's question, the Hanzenese people have firmly responded affirmatively. According to the latest opinion polling conducted by Phra Rath in association with the Udon Nakhon Statistics Society, 86% of Hanzenese view Yingdala as a positive force in the world, and 78% of respondents affirming the same with regard to Vanuku.

Udomprecha Clan Seized Control of the Kingdom of Hanzen, Absolute Monarchy Reestablished

Udon Nakhon- In a dramatic series of events the Queen's guard has taken power completely in Hanzen. Today the Parliament and legislative bodies inside the country have been dissolved following increasing disunity and dysfunction due to corruption allegations. The Queen has announced that absolute divine rule has been reinstated with help from the military. Popularity in the Queen has always surpassed the growing unpopular governments that have attempted to liberalize the Kingdom of Hanzen with reforms to oust the Queen and the Udomprecha Royal Family. The former President has been arrested and released on corruption charges and will be retiring from politics in disgrace.

Queen Kohsoom Udomprecha has announced to the nation that by Divine Mandate she has taken back control of the government with the Royal Palace releasing a nationwide message encouraging unity and "renewed national spirit". The Queen who is 26 years old has gone to one of the most prestigious educational institutions in all of Terra studying law at the Kaizhou National University in Yingdala. She is well versed in the International Geopolitical Landscape as well as in science, law business and general academics.

This Queen has long avoided politics and this move has been seen as a measure that was undertaken only because of the severity of the breakdown of discourse in the Government.


Her Divine Royal Majesty Queen Kohsoom Udomprecha of the Kingdom of Hanzen

Tanks were seen rolling through the capital along with other cities across the country in a show of force. Loudspeakers blared across the capital repeating that the "Divine Mandate has been invoked" and that the nation was returning to Absolute Monarchy once again. The General in charge of the Queen's Guard General Wayupak Boonmee has long been a close ally to the Royal Family and a loyal general inside of Hanzen.

Support for the monarchy and absolute monarchy remains extremely high with recent polls conducted saying that more than 70% of Hanzen's populous believing that the former government needed to be abolished. Small protests have broken out across the country seeing the move as a "breaking of Democracy". This is an opinion that is not shared by the majority of the Hanzenese people. With the removal of the former corrupt President and the country under control of the Divine Mandate one can expect positive changes and stability will be on the horizon.

Government Introduces "Permanent Hanzen Neutrality" as a Foreign Policy Cornerstone to Hanzen Constitution

Udon Nakhon- The Foreign Affairs office in coordination with the Queen herself has announced that Hanzen will be beginning a permanent policy of neutrality for the Kingdom of Hanzen. Newly appointed Foreign Minister for the Kingdom Dhipyamongkol Sudham announced a decree from the Queen and her advisers of a new policy of neutrality. The act officially recognizes that the Kingdom of Hanzen has a history of being a colony of other nations primarily Yingdala. The purpose of this act is to keep the people of Hanzen and Hanzen sovereignty safe but to also further the cause for international peace.

The policy states that Hanzen will not get involved in Armed or Political conflicts between other states and will only go to war if they are directly invaded or attacked by another power. In doing so they will make alliances with no other country and will not instigate wars with any other nations. They will retain their status as members of the World Council but will only use it as a forum to excel world peace and cooperation. The main goals for this change in foreign policy are made into 5 points.

1. Ensure the Safety and Security of the Kingdom of Hanzen
2. Alleviate need and poverty in the world;
3. Promote respect for human rights and democracy;
4. Promote the peaceful coexistence of peoples;
5. Promote preservation of natural resources.

The Queen has reportedly been a Pacifist for most of her life only intervening recently for the protection of the Kingdom from bad corrupt actors. Apart of this neutrality will be Hanzen's pursuit of solving international disputes and retaining relations with all the nations of Terra as to promote the full process of Neutrality.

The act says nothing about abolishing the Military of the Kingdom of Hanzen and reports are showing that the Hanzen Army and Navy will be upgraded and expanded to ensure an effective defense force exists to protect the Kingdom from any bad actors. The policy of Neutrality and national defense is a two pronged approach that will seek to keep Hanzen out of conflict and to make Hanzen ready to fight back against anyone that attempts to invade the Kingdom.

The Kingdom of Hanzen desires to stay out of any armed conflicts from this day forward and forevermore. We ask that the nations of Terra recognize and respect the Kingdom of Hanzen's wishes and to recognize the policy of Hanzen neutrality. The Kingdom of Hanzen is ready and willing to be a place where international peace thrives and where peace deals are made. We as a nation want to promote international peace and unity across Terra for the betterment of the Kingdom but the betterment of all the peoples of Terra as a whole.

Hanzen Reorganizes Military - New Requirements make Military Service Mandatory for all Males at the Age of 18

Hanzen began a complete overhaul of its military by making military service mandatory for all Hanzenese Males when they turn 18 and finish their primary schooling. The new Head of the Military General Kanut Sarit announced sweeping reforms that will change the Hanzenese Military as we know it. Because of Hanzen's permanent neutrality the force will only be used in a defensive role and thus weapons that have been perceived as "offensive weapons" such as long range missiles and strategic bombers have been put into permanent storage and not to be used unless there is an emergency.

Kanut Sarit the new Head of the Royal Armed Forces of Hanzen also announced that all Hanzen Nationals who are male when they reach the age of 18 would be required to serve in the Royal Armed Forces 4 months in training and then 1 year in one of the branches. This is to ensure that the Hanzenese population is prepared if the country is ever to go to war for a defensive reason. The drafts will begin in the year 5375 and anyone who is older than 18 at that date will not have to serve in the military if they were already 18 or older when the deadline passed. Sarit also stated that this will "need to take place in order to ensure that Hanzen retains its permanent neutrality and to discourage foreign nations from attacking Hanzen". This is a small price to pay for Hanzen neutrality while giving the people of Hanzen valuable learning experiences and skills for later in life as well as keeping young people away from things such as drugs and unhealthy habits. In the press conference he also stated that conscientious objector will be able to serve in a civilian job such as local Fire Departments, local public roads commissions and civilian agencies instead.

Along with this Sarit has stated that the Hanzenese military will be expanding and adopting a "highly mobile" doctrine that is necessary for Hanzen's difficult terrain filled with swamps, rivers and thick jungles. He stated also that the Kingdom of Hanzen will be looking to many nations of Terra to help build up its army along with starting several state owned military manufacturing plants here in Hanzen as well.

One plant which will be opening up in the city of Udon Nakhon which will specialize in making small patrol craft that can easily navigate and traverse the narrow canals and rivers that make up the coastal region of the Hanzen basin. These boats will be another major facet of the Hanzenese Military's capabilities where the harsh terrain will ensure that armies do not invade the Kingdom and this along with delaying actions and guerilla warfare will make sure that Hanzen sovereignty and neutrality are maintained.
