Seemingly leaning into this side on social media, the Marshal also strongly condemned the government's decision, despite stepping down willfully - though Mr. Tömörkhüslee claimed he had "no choice" in the matter. In a hastily arranged press conference, the Marshal rambled at length about the government's decision, stating that it had "crossed a red line", and that the armed forces' response was only natural, boasting that "only true patriots know who to rally behind, unlike our so-called 'democratic' government".
