DJP: YONG TO TAKE OVER AS SECRETARY-GENERALMUDANWAN, Min: Democratic Justice Party (DJP) has announced in an emergency press conference that the party has voted Yong Jian Hong as the next Secretary-General of the esteemed party.
Yong, 30 years old, is said to have won the hearts of the party committee in full 100% votes, and will duly takeover Han Wei Yi as the next Spiritual Leader of DJP.
Han thanked the people and the party for their past 15 years of support. However, Han has said he will remain in the committee of the cyan-themed party as a core member, continuing to guide the youths in the Indralan politics scene.
He said: "Without the people's trust in us, this party would not have been in the Grand Assembly as one of the biggest parties. This change could be drastic for some, but it's time for the youth to lead the party, like how I started out 15 years ago."
The ex-Chief Counselor has also credited Yong, citing him as 'one of the most outspoken member of DJP', and 'a vocal personality who always have the hearts of the people'.
To the surprise of the reporters, Yong has already took over Han in May 4413, but members had agreed to allow the takeover process to be as discreet as possible, and will only announce once he felt ready.
In his first interview with the press, Yong stated that he will continue the tradition of DJP of neutrality, but had proposed for some minimal changes to the policy.
The new incoming leader revealed: "The ongoing debate of the cabinet proposals by two sides -- the Republicans and the Monarchists, have included in DJP as one of the parties to be in the seating. That's a good thing, (this shows that) we are playing an important role in their way of governance. But after discussions with the members, we have finally decided to abstain from both proposals, simply because we are in the middle of their conflicts... if we were to stay neutral, this is what we have to do."
Will DJP be despised and left out by constantly sitting on the fence?
"If they (the other parties of Indrala) were to think this way, let them be. I'm not Han -- he has the patience to repeat our ideologies to the various parties constantly; I don't. Either they get it, or they don't," replied Yong.
When probed about withdrawing votes during proposals, Yong said: "During the period of time, there was a change of leadership (between me and Han). Han has the way of leading the party to vote for a proposal he deemed as best for the country, in which I agree. But if we were to stay neutral, especially with two coalitions with different ideologies doing their proposals against one another, how can we stay neutral again by voting 'yes' to one and not the other?"
Will there one day be a scene where internal conflicts happen if both Han and Yong have different decision-making?
Han answered: "Any decisions we make, we (the committee members of DJP) have to agree fully. There will be discussions after discussions, but the decision presented in the Assembly will be final and the agreed views of members in hundred percent. I wish Yong well in leading the party, and he will definitely do well for us... he's a talent."
Yong Jian Hong, a law graduate from Tian'an National University, was recruited by Democratic Justice Party in 4410, in which he was widely-known as the 'fiercest Indralan' by the people for fighting to illegalise child labour in the Grand Assembly. Should he maintain his political personality after officially taking on the prominent leadership of DJP, he could become one of the fearsome leader in Indrala which political parties will look out for.
