Victory in Dankuk, Recognition of the Great Empire of the Kyo
After years of occupation and stalemate, the Imperial Armed Forces of the Celestial Empire have won a war of attrition against the Cheng Daenists in Dankuk. Clearly, through internal dissent, lack of balance regarding domestic policy, and God’s divine will, the Taeguk Tigers swept into the capital and took the nation from evil Daenists, restoring the monarchy and bringing traditional Dankuk culture back into the public sphere. Despite the victory, Great Indrala must negotiate a withdrawal from Dankuk proper and its colonies, not to mention deal with the negative fallout with the destruction of Gongmando. No doubt, the Imperial Government plans to aid Dankuk in rebuilding the nation, attempting to right the wrongs that occurred during the war.
While the war has taken a massive toll on both nations, it appears to have inspired the Kyo into reaching for even more greatness by not only restoring the monarchy, but declaring the monarch an Emperor and the nation an Empire. By establishing itself as an empire, Dankuk will achieve the highest status in monarchial relations. With its history of colonialism and continued future of playing a role as a colonial power, Dankuk’s actions are perfectly justifiable and natural, for they were a de-facto empire. Declaring themselves officially an empire was simply recognizing reality. His Imperial Majesty’s Government will fully “New Dankuk” and supports its imperial status.
War Leads to New Age
As Indrala marched to victory, a massive coup took place for Indrala on the world stage. In direct defiance of the Treaty of the Dragon and the Phoenix, His Imperial and Most Jienist Majesty Sima Fengshan (literally “ascending the throne in a glorious ceremony”) declared himself the Supreme Divine Emperor of the Gao-Showan peoples, making him the cultural and religious head of the Gao-Showan people in Terra. This act could not have been achieved if the Indralans had not occupied the largest portions of the Great North Dovani Plain, which ensured no other Gao-Showan nation had ever achieved dominance over a majority of Gao-Showans in Terra in its long history. Governance over a majority of the Gao-Showan peoples was seen as Heaven’s Mandate for Sima Fengshan to claim the title Taishang Huangdi (“Far Above Divine Emperor” or “Supreme Divine Emperor”). Our Supreme Divine Emperor’s actions will lead Great Indrala into a period of Great Power and Regional Power status in Terra and Dovani itself.
Celestial Empire Congratulates and Reaffirms Relationship with Deltaria, Condemns Anglo-Deltarian Empire
His Imperial Highness Sima Chen, brother of the Divine Emperor of Great Indrala, was elected Czar and Autocrat of Deltaria. With this election, free from any Indralan influence, Terra has shown its appreciation and belief in the capability of the Imperial Clan of Sima, with its cadet branch of the House of Marsal, to reign and rule. This victory is a boost for the Indralan family, showing other nations interested in electing a monarch, that the Simas are viable candidates. His Imperial and Most Jienist Majesty is said to be “overjoyed” with His brother’s victory, saying that it “shows the historical fraternal relationship between Our nations, bringing Us one step closer to the reestablishment of the old alliance”.
Prince Sima Chen’s election to the throne of Deltaria has not been without difficulty. The upstart nation of the Anglo-Deltarian Empire (Vorona), have attempted to assert their dominance in Dovani in spite of Lourenne first accepting then vehemently rejecting Voronan dominance, only to lead to a revival of native power in the country. The Foreign Ministry views the Anglo-Deltarian Empire’s anti-Indralan and pro-conquest stance as laughable. They cite the nation’s lack of financial resources and recent failure as proof of a dog barking but fearful of biting. Nations understand that the Celestial Empire dominates Central and South Dovani. Failure to understand this is futile.
Tensions Rise in Central Dovani
Great Indrala is known for its push for decolonization. Unfortunately, this movement is most fervently opposed by the government of Sekowo. Sekowo has long held to its position as a colonial power, largely in part to its string of humiliating defeat to Western powers. While this stance is completely legitimate, it flies in the face of the greater good. Decolonization would substantially increase Indrala, Dankuk, Sekowo, and Hulstria and Gao-Soto’s image on the international stage, showing Terra that monarchies are hubs for freedom, opposite of those such as the Caliphate, who represent totalitarianism at its highest. However, Sekowo has simply become anti-Indralan since the decolonization movement began, even becoming more aggressive to Indrala, going so far as to suggest Medina be handed over. This stance is troubling, as it pits a Gao-Showan monarchy against another Gao-Showan monarchy, an action that threatens Dovani unity against the West. As the Armed Forces leave Dankuk, they will no doubt keep a watchful eye on Sekowo.
Even more problems appear on the horizon as the Caliphate blatantly disregards Great Indrala’s sphere of influence in South Dovani and makes a treaty based on Ahmadism with Talmoria. The Caliphate now plans to station troops in the nation, which violates Talmoria’s treaty of tribute with the Celestial Empire. This breach of protocol by the Caliphate has forced the Celestial Empire to increase its conversion of Ahmadi peoples to Jienism, as well as consider entrance into the Anti-Ahmadi Axis. Should the Caliphate relent and eliminate its roll in Dovani, the status quo will remain. Direct contact with the Caliphate has yet to occur.
The Celestial Empire Celebrates as Gaduridos and Hutori Witness Revival
Both the nations of Gaduridos and Hutori, historically Indralan friends and allies, have seen a restoration of the Union Socialism Alliance and the Conservative Party respectively. For too long have both nations been in the dark on the domestic and international fronts, however, this is soon to change. Indrala rejoices at the prospect of a return of Gaduridos to the international stage, agreeing with its desire to reassert itself and enter a new golden age. The Grand Preceptor has even called for reestablishing the old alliance and making the head of state of Gaduridos “Duke of Shan”, a promotion from the old “Marquis of Shan”, which was tied to the position of Consul.
Even more rumors concern Indrala’s relationship with Hutori, pushing them to claim Luthori and Hulstria, as the House of Orange-Hutori assumes the position of the only known senior agnatic branch of the House of Orange-Villayn and House of Rothingren-Traugott. We can only hope both nations take advantage of what God has given them and return to a state of power.
