YAN becomes a "drydock navy"
February 5016 - State Military Commission approves major drydock effort of Yingdalan Army Navy vessels
Image
Chairman of the State Military Commission, the highest military authority of the Yingdalan Army, approved the drydocking of dozens of vessels of the Yingdalan Army Navy (YAN) across Yingdala. The move, controversial and attacked by some right-wing members of the Jienist Nationalist Party, was approved by a vast majority of the Yingdalan Army Navy's senior officers and is seen as a means to take stock of the navy's capabilities. In recent decades the political purges, political turmoil and economic downturn have hurt the YAN significantly. The YAN once boasted one of the most formidable blue-water navies in the world after centuries of not having the capability to do so, it has now returned to at best a regional navy. The most notable drydock effort are the aircraft carriers of the YAN; the INS Tianxing. The INS Tianxing, a Type 002 aircraft carrier is part of a wider effort to rebuild Yingdala as a major naval power and major diplomatic player with expeditionary capabilities. Across the country the drydock effort is being carried out as the State Military Commission focuses on rebuilding the entire structure of the armed forces in the wake of a major purge of former Communist and Communist era officials. Images from Tian'an show the INS Tianxing arriving at the Tian'an Shipyards facilities in Tian'an and being stripped of a vast majority of its amenities and older equipment and technologies.

Yingdalan state visit to Keymon on announcement of major cooperation
President, Premier and major foreign policy players arrive in Keymon for major economic and foreign policy talks.

A major foreign policy coup for the new government in Tian'an was had when it was announced that a cadre of officials including President Wu and Premier Yong would be attending a state visit in the Keymonese capital of Münberg this month. President Xiong Wu, Premier Qiu Yong, Foreign Minister and Vice Premier Yin Xieren, Trade and Industry Minister Kong Chen and Jade Route Fund Chairman Qian Xiang will be the major officials visiting the Keymonese government in a new spirit of cooperation, both economically and politically. Yingdalan Ambassador to Keymon, Cheng Zhenya, has been working with the Keymonese government for several years now and has placed them in contact with officials within the Foreign Affairs Ministry to help facilitate such a meeting. A series of talks were held prior on topics related to the meeting but now that the meetings have taken place over the course of the past few days the Morning Post has learned significant details about the future cooperation going forward with the Keymon-Yingdalan relationship.

According to sources with the Foreign Ministry the New Harmony Initiative was the primary development behind the contact between Tian'an and Münberg. The New Harmony Initiative was launched by the Yingdalan government to replace their Tower and Road Initiative from decades in the past. The sources also revealed that the New Harmony Initiative through its funding sources have offered up to $50 million in low-interest loans to Keymonese businesses and institutions, largely through Yingdalan banks who have worked directly with the new government in Tian'an to expand funding opportunities for global development and international economic stabilization. In addition the Yingdalan government through the Jade Route Fund and other funding sources have opted for a $10 million direct investment into Keymonese infrastructure to support the growth of trade and development, notably in Keymon's railway structure but it remains unspecified if that is where the money will go at this time. In addition a number of Yingdalan businessmen and women were traveling in tail with the government cadre to discuss the opening of Yingdalan businesses in Keymon.

It remains to be seen if the New Harmony Initiative will be a success but the opening of the NHI has thus far been considered a success in the eyes of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Following Keymon, President arrives in Kanjor
President and Premier arrive in Kanjor for major economic talks.

Following the state visit in Keymon the President, Premier and other Yingdalan officials arrived in Atyr to meet with Kanjorian officials to discuss wide-ranging economic cooperation. President Wu, Premier Yong and Jade Route Fund Chairman Xiang all met with senior Kanjorian officials to discuss investment into Kanjor. Early reports have surfaced that the Kanjorian government, similar to Keymon, are going to take major investments into infrastructure through the Jade Route Fund but are likely to see major Yingdalan banks open operations within Kanjor over the next year to a year and a half. President Wu commented on the new found relations between Tian'an and Atyr, citing cooperation on both southern Seleya as well as wider Seleya. In recent years since the de-communistization of Yingdala there has been an increased move towards capitalism and a shift towards both domestic and foreign investment.

Yingdalan Imperial Restoration?
November 5030 - President Cai set to establish government, aims at "restoring Yingdala to former glory"
Image
The Yu Imperial Union re-emerged from the depths and won an absolute majority in the National Congress. While not ideal for the monarchist party, the party held a presidential primary election nominating Cai Zexian to lead the party to victory, which is exactly what he did. Now President Cai Zexian is set to take office at the end of this month and appoint the party's first cabinet since 4961.

As the new National Congress deputies take office on the 1st of November, the party delegation is moving forward behind closed doors planning the future of Yingdala. The party, as it stands, is divided along two factions: one who wishes to continue the course of a semi-presidential capitalist government and the other who wish to restore the Yingdalan imperial family to its rightful place. However, there are many factors to weigh in, for example, the surviving members of former nobility and the will of the people. President Cai has stated over the month-long campaign trail that he will not restore the 'Son of Heaven' "against the will of the people".

The future of the country hangs in the balance as the once purely monarchist party debate amongst themselves on whether or not to restore the imperial family. Sources from inside the delegation have told our reporters that it's a 50/50 ratio.

Story still developing.

Massive Infrastructure Development-Redevelopment Approved
November 5030 - 3IB's new director approves President Cai's infrastructure plan, awaits the National Congress to provide funding
Image

The newly-appointed Director of the 3IB (Indralan Infrastructure Investment Bank), Deng Min, approved President Cai's infrastructure proposal. This proposal would invest over ¥1.2 trillion INS over the next 10 years into upgrading the nation's crumbling infrastructure. The approval kicks in motion local and provincial public-private partnership negotiations as well as the appropriations process for funding the project. The Infrastructure and Transport Ministry is working full-time to find space in the budget for ¥120 billion INS per year, struggling to make ends meet. That's why it is important that the National Congress approve the funds as quickly as possible in order to ensure infrastructure all around is fully funded.

Old Space Program to be Re-evaluated
November 5030 - National Congress' Committee Space, Science, and ICT to relook at century-old space station project
Image

Chairman of the National Congress Select Committee on Space, Science, and ICT held a press conference today to announce the five-year agenda for the committee. Included in that agenda is the re-evaluation of the "To Infinity and Beyond" initiative that constructs a space station that has yet to be completed by any other nation. The initiative was the vision of Yingdalan glory that former Prime Minister Wu Guiying had in 4925 where nations came together to explore space together. Hearings for the initiative re-evaluation is scheduled to start in the new year, giving enough time for both the Select Committee and the YSA to prepare for deliberations.

Infrastructure Redevelopment Underway, Space Project Reauthorized, All After Passage of Spending Package
Government departments prepare to spend trillions of shapir in infrastructure redevelopment projects and in a renewed and reauthorized space project put on hold for more than 50 years.

Premier Xu Cai readies governmental departments to spend trillions of shapir on two massive projects that will boost the economy and grow our space program that has remained inert for some time. The two projects have been in the works since before the election of President Cai and the appointment of Premier Xu. Both will require the state’s resources and will provide us with a number of new capabilities and opportunities.

The National Congress Select Committee on Appropriations and Budgetary Oversight held 6-months of hearings to fully analyze both projects and later approved both projects, sending the ¥2.2 trillion INS spending package to the full body to be voted on, which passed earlier this year in May.

The 3IB announced that construction on roads, highways, bridges, railways, waterways, and other infrastructure projects will begin at the start of 5033 and continue on for the next ten years. Provincial, county, and local governments may apply for funding at www.3ib.yi/funding. The government organization will be given ¥1.2 trillion INS over the next 10 years to fund infrastructure projects.

Likewise, YSA (Yingdalan Space Agency) announced just earlier today that construction on the space station will restart at the end of this year and will finish the project in the next 25 or so years, becoming the first country to completely construct and launch a space station into outer space. Many in the government are 'happy' about this project, but not more than members of the military commission. One top general was overheard saying that the military "has its eye on space" and will work to have "an advantage" over other countries in aerospace defense systems. The space agency was appropriated ¥1 trillion INS for this project.

Central Bank Will Receive More Power If Omnibus Bill Passes
The National Congress is set to pass a bill that will hand more power over to technocrats at the central bank, opening the doors to further corruption in the government and in politics

Image
Front view of the Yingdalan Central Bank
Image
Congressional Deputy Wang Ju introduced a bill today that would set the country back almost 200 years ago when economic policy was controlled by the Yu Imperial Union. Under such times the country saw high economic growth and production, however, corruption slowly crept in and gave rise to communism under two political parties. This bill will grant the central bank more autonomy outside of appointing its chairman. When asked what was the reason for such a policy, Deputy Wang responded by saying, "Current economic policy has slowly moved our economy and our country in the right direction, however, it is not the growth we need. We need more and this policy along with others will help us tremendously."

At the same time, the bill also allows monopolies in selected sectors and allows private money to fund political campaigns, removing all public money from those same campaigns. The bill is, in short, a bill that will open pandora's box to corruption of elected and appointed officials, from the highest office to the lowest, private money would influence certain actions the government take on issues pertaining to the citizens of this country.

Yingdalan Reserve Bank Restructures, Markets Boom in Support
Ever since the "Omnibus Bill" which is set to pass in the National Congress and be signed into law, the YRB has made moves to restructure the bank as it is set to gain more power and an independent agency set apart from the national government

Image
Yingdalan Reserve Bank Board of Governors meeting at the reserve bank in the nation's capital city

With just seven months until the passage of the Omnibus Bill, the Yingdalan Reserve Bank is restructuring itself to be more efficient and able to regulate economic policy in the nation. Receiving approval from Premier Xu, its final ask before it becomes an independent agency, a working committee consisting of members from the national reserve bank and the other six reserve banks were established to carry out this goal. This committee is tasked with making a series of recommendations on restructuring the Yingdalan Reserve Bank. At their first meeting on January 11th, they agreed on ten key elements, and the final version was approved by the Reserve Chairs Committee (RCC) on January 20th.

The committee had later recommended the creation of the Yingdalan Reserve Advisory Council consisting of a board representative from the six reserve district boards. The advisory council, as stated by the committee, would provide independent advice to the national reserve bank on matters pertaining to economic policy. This recommendation is set to be approved by the RCC in the coming months.

Young Politician Rising to Politicial Fame
Youngest candidate for the National Assembly rises in political fame as he takes on the inefficiencies of the government, including corruption

Image
Son of a farmer and youngest YIU candidate for the National Assembly, Ma Huizhong-Yu
Image
The political landscape in Yingdalan politics took a positive shift as a newcomer arrives on the scene. Ma Huizhong-Yu (meaning of Huizhong, wise and loyal) is a 24-year old who recently graduated from law school at Tian'an National University just a year ago. His mother is a school teacher of Kyo descent and his dad is a farmer of Indralan descent. He currently works on his family farm and hopes to represent the same district he grew up in. He enters the political arena throwing punches and invigorating the current (and old) political base of the sole party in the country, and a likely newer wing of youngsters who say they have not ever voted in an election.

Huizhong-Yu announced his candidacy for the National Assembly for Assembly District 22, becoming the youngest person to run for the National Assembly, and if elected, will become the first person in the history of the nation to secure a seat in the country's top legislative body. The young politician is running on a nationalistic platform of reforming the country to its most traditional roots and creating a government system that works. This hits directly at the current crisis in the nation as citizens cry out to the government as local, provincial, and federal departments are lagging behind on serving the citizens, including our courts. His message resonates with many of the citizens in his district and across the country as he becomes the most trended person and topic on social media platforms. One video has been seen by over 100 million Indralans. In the video, Candidate Ma was giving a rally speech in his hometown to over 2000 people, the largest rally for a National Assembly candidate so far. But the main attraction to this video was a section in the speech that caught people's attention:

"Yingdalan politics are supplied with old men producing old and corrupt policies that only enhance themselves, their financial backers, and foreign companies seeking to interrupt the purity of the Indralan culture. And where those who control our political sphere go or touch, there destruction also lies. There can no longer be such destruction in this country. No longer shall we let a corrupt and inefficient system hinder our progress and our pursuit for a brighter future. I am running to make sure that happens. I am running to put you first, to put Yingdala First."

The "Yingdala First" messaging has also trended along with Candidate Ma. When asked to explain what he meant by "Yingdala First", Candidate Ma stated:

"Exactly what it sounds like─Yingdalan citizens will come first once again in government service and policymaking."

Huizhong-Yu is facing backlash from political elites who are calling the young politician "idealistic" and "too green", a phrase used to describe a person who lacks political experience and to delegitimize that individual.

The election will be held next November where President Cai has stated he will not be seeking re-election. A number of candidates have made their way to the ballot for President, including Premier Xu Cai and another newcomer, Teacher Li Yinjun of Anle Province who has recently surged in the polls by attaching her name and messaging to Candidate Ma's campaign. However, Premier Xu is likely to win the election even with more than a year to go before the election.

Citizens Fed Up With Government Inefficiencies
A crumbling government system has citizens seeking reform from it's nation's leaders
Image
For years, the government system has reigned supreme in this nation, that is until government began to fail. The recent political conversation has been on the topic of government inefficiency as backlogs in court cases ensue across the country for a lack of courts to handle the rising number of cases, and provincial and local government bodies ignore citizens' requests for better and faster service. This is due to the government code which gives a majority of power to the national government who has the sole authority to appoint provincial and state government officials including provincial governors and its assembly, as well as the same for local government and special districts. Many citizens are calling for a vast reform of the government as a whole, making government work for the people.

Young Blood in the National Assembly, 'Ma Yingdala First' Gains Momentum
Ma Huizhong-Yu wins election in a massive landslide, becoming youngest elected to the National Assembly

Image
Deputy-elect Ma Huizhong-Yu (25)
Image
The youngest candidate to ever run for the National Assembly wins his election in a landslide with over 65% of the vote in his district. Ma Huizhong-Yu was 24 when he announced his candidacy and will enter the National Assembly at the age of 25, becoming the youngest person in Yingdalan history to be elected to the National Assembly. He was elected to represent the 22nd Assembly District.

Ma Huizhong-Yu's campaign gained national attention in April 5047 with a "Yingdala First" message, focusing on key issues that are on top of Yingdalans' minds, mainly government inefficiency and corruption. According to the "Yingdala First" campaign, the current economic climate presents a unique opportunity to reshape the current situation, and Yingdalans should seek ways to improve governance in the shortest time possible. This campaign has ignited a fire in many young Indralans to take up an interest in politics and join behind the newcomer in what is called the "Ma Yingdala First" movement. Youngsters from the age of 18 to 40 have begun to be more active in politics with many already declaring their candidacy for the next election as they look to oust many old, establishment members of the government.

Upon entering the National Assembly, Deputy-elect Ma announced that he will put forth "significant legislation" that "deals with our corrupt and inefficient" government. This is expected to happen one branch at a time. Currently, Yingdala does not have a constitution, rather, the nation has legislation enacted by the National Assembly that deals with the functions and powers of the government as well as the structure. Deputy-elect Ma will review those laws before making reforms, already calling for a "Government Review Committee" to be formed.

Coup Ousts Yingdalan Government and Legislature to Restore the Wu Clan to the Dragon Throne
Image
Thousands of supporters gather to hear the Son of Heaven speak

Time. Time is all is took...all it ever takes...for Heaven to command the people to restore the Son of Heaven to political power. It is no surprise that it has happened again to our beloved country. Just last night, a crack team of special forces led by our dear Son of Heaven himself - then a general - Wu Zhong - overthrew the previous government and declared the return of the Jienist state.

The coup - truly a restoration - was not quiet. Former government ministers and leaders and the legislature were woken from their beds by armed men and forced to resign or be killed. Many chose the smart thing, but others stood in defiance of Heaven's Will and chose death. They died traitor deaths. Their family property will be confiscated and given to the people as a token, while individual members will be exiled.

Many might ask why a return to the Wu Clan instead of the Yu? These people forget that the Wu are a male-line cadet branch of the House of Yu. They were the historical Grand Protectors - the highest military leader after the Son of Heaven - of the first Yingdalan state. They also ushered in a golden age in Yingdalan history where the economy was strong and the military mighty. But more than that, they were the last great house to truly implement the Jienist system - not a hybrid with the West. This is why they are returning now. Heaven wills it!

To no one's surprise - when the sun shone on what was, is, and will always be Yingdala's true state - the people rejoiced. Tian'an was full of people - tens of thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands - took to the streets in amazement beneath the eaves of the Heavenly Palace to see His Majesty the Son of Heaven donned in ceremonial regalia waving to the people before speaking directly to them.

Though short, His Majesty's words will inspire current and future generations of Yingdalans - eager to carryout his divine words.
My people, you have been delivered. Heaven's Mandate came upon me like a flash, commanding me to implement His will and overthrow the previously foreign and anti-Yingdalan government. This was all done for your sake.

No longer will you be forced to bear the yoke of Western designs. No more will foreign tentacles rule you. No more. We now - yet again, as we always do - return to our natural, God-directed state of being.

To carryout God's commands, we will create an unbreakable bond of trust between ruler and subjects, fathers and sons, husbands and wives, and friends. Traditional education will reign supreme and our children will learn what it means to be virtuous. We will also ensure your daily needs are met. No one should go hungry. No one's basic survival should be in question. And the survival of our country must also never be questioned - but our priority is you - always.

Heaven will bless us. Heaven will care for us. Heaven will restore us. May Heaven favor you and our beloved Yingdala!

Already the new government is working to restore the Jienist state and reform the government. It will take some time, but many familiar institutions from just over a century ago seem set to return. When completed, the government is likely to do as the Son of Heaven commands and set up vast new programs in education and culture, agriculture, the economy at large, and health and social services. Rebuilding a world-class people and economy are the first priorities.

Thankfully, the new Jien Faction has much to build upon. Yingdala has historically been among the best performing societies. The government can draw on historical examples, preexisting plans, and best practices to move forward. Perhaps Yingdala is about to enter a new age...an age of jade.

"Back to the Future" Education Policy Announced After Son of Heaven's Enthronement
Image
The Son of Heaven ascends the Dragon Throne

The Jien Faction's new - yet old - Jienist education policy is set to sweep the nation. Awaiting formal promulgation via a "heavenly edict" - a document sealed with His Majesty's Heirloom Seal of the Realm - the "back to basics" policies are set to invigorate the people spiritually, morally, and productively. His Majesty himself revealed the policies upon successfully completing the enthronement rite at the Heavenly Palace. The Son of Heaven's personal touch demonstrates just how important the education policy is and to what lengths the Central Government will go to carry them out.

Like the enthronement rite, the new education policies serve a divine purpose. Both better connect the people to Heaven. Enthronement rituals show obedience to Heaven and a willingness to implement divine will. Jienist education policies build trust between the subjects and the ruler - helping to create a stable society. Specifically, the education policies will do five things: 1. teach the people about the Classical Works and the morals within, 2. teach people to read and write, 3. teach people to defend the nation and themselves, 4. teach people to understand the meanings of rites and music, and 5. teach people mathematics and science.

Moral and ritual education are necessary for Yingdalan civilization to continue and prosper. Reading and writing - the foundations of communications - are necessary to survive. Military skills are needed to promote the common defense. Math and science are needed to understand the world and innovate. All are necessary for the people's welfare. His Majesty explains it better:
My people, I pledged to you to build trust between you and the government through education. These new policies - which are quite old and well known - are the key. All will be able to unlock their inner virtue to lead society to the Great Unity. The Great Unity will mean the good life for all. This is what why we must strive.

But we cannot think like some of old that all that is needed are reading and writing and the rites and music. No. We must embrace the Six Fields to their fullest. Yes, this means that all must be ready to defend the country, but it also means everyone will have the opportunity to have a moderately prosperous life and to help contribute to common prosperity for all. Indeed, math and science are essential for our prosperity. We must utilize our indigenous innovation, history of high talent, and track record of economic success to continuously improve our livelihoods.

We must advance our agricultural sector to be smart, efficient, and sustainable to maximize our food security and provide food to the world. That is our high moral duty. We must also improve our pharmaceutical industries and health systems to ensure the highest quality of care to all people. We can then share this knowledge with the world. Affordable and sustainable housing is also paramount. By innovating in construction and materials, all can have a roof over our heads - and we can help others do the same. Our daily lives must be powered by clean energy. We were once a leader in this. We will be again. This will also require sustainable and smart mining and materials processing. These, high tech manufacturing, and a service sector booming with high quality are essential.

With a Jienist education, all will learn the skills needed to move our country forward.

His Majesty does, indeed, explain it best. Yingdala's past success with education likely foretells similar success. The Yingdalan economy will be thankful for it.
