Yingdalan Energy Companies Create LuYing - "Green Yingdala" - Initiative, Seek Joint Venture with Lourenne
Image

Two of Yingdalas most innovative and famous energy companies, Shangdian Engineering Corporation and Taiyang Energy, announced the creation of the LuYing, or Green Yingdala, Initiative to expand Yingdala's green investment, expand access to energy, increase energy security, and clean the environment. Referred to solely as LuYing, the initiative intends to invest billion in Yingdalan green energy projects and companies. Moreover, LuYing is seeking to partner with Lourenneais companies, the most well-known in Terra for green-tech innovation, to not only jump start Yingdalan investment, but provide a cooperative model for green energy all of Terra could use.

The strategy behind LuYing is to combine the technology and products of Shangdian and Taiyang to maximize effectiveness, scale up, and expand. For example, Shangdian's new taichi battery, which can now store 20 megawatts of solar power, will greatly increase the effectiveness and usability of Taiyang's solar panels. Even more so, the pooling of resources will allow LuYing to provide seed money for Yingdalan green start ups.

A major focus for investment is storage. While Shangdian has made advances in battery storage, more is needed to make solar energy a viable alternative. Gradual innovation will lead to results eventually, but LuYing seeks to capitalize on the spontaneous and serendipitous. These will go beyond storage for large power plants and extend to smaller batters ranging from powering electric vehicles to personal electronics. More traditional investments will also be made in wind farms, hydroelectric dams, and the like. "Greening" Yingdala's energy is the primary concern - as it leads to environmental and energy security.

Most interestingly, LuYing will be taking a largely hands off approach to its investments. It will seek to provide seed money in exchange for the most minimal equity possible, while also minimizing board influence. The rationale is that the innovators, with ample business support, are going to be better placed to create advanced products with fewer diktats from investors. Such a level of freedom and flexibility is almost unheard of.

But energy and environmental security aren't all LuYing will do. Thousands of jobs are expected to be created, jobs that will pay well and apply the high-skills of leading Yingdalan talents. Yingdala's economy can only grow through such an initiative.

To maximize success, LuYing will be turning to Lourenne and its trove of green companies. Although many Lourenneais companies may be apprehensive about helping potential competition, LuYing's goals and vision might be noble enough to generate meaningful cooperation.

Decades of environmental misuse and deregulation have negatively impacted Yingdala in the long run. The LuYing Initiative, likely with eventual support from the Jien Party, will help see Yingdala through to a greener future.

Fan Fen rebuffs traditionalist sentient
This is despite tears within her own party

Fan Fen seems less than impressed with suggestions that current political trends favor a return to more traditional values and seems certain of socialism's appeal to Indrala. The aged but experienced leader is currently negotiating with more moderate members who had previously chosen to leave the group after a coup de etat by more liberal forces. Sources suggest that negotiations have opened up on a more positive approach to the Indralan royal family with moderates demanding further overtures in terms of political organization and views on ecology. Whether these talks will come to anything or simply break down into more infighting remains uncertain even to the most seasoned political analysts.

Yingdala's Steel Industry Embraces LuYing and High Tech
Image
JinCo Steel's new high tech steel rolling facility in Jiaozhi

With the announcement of the LuYing, or Green Yingdala, Initiative, companies throughout the island nation are beginning to see the benefits of the green trend - both for the environment and their pocketbooks. One industry looking to make significant changes is the steel industry - critical to Yingdala's national security. A consortium of steel companies, led by JinCo Steel, has announced that it will lead the industry's charge to transition to full green energy use and high tech steel production.

Many already know that steel production is not just costly in terms of money, but uses immense amounts of energy. Plants must often rely on fossil fuels, such as coal or oil. Thankfully, in Yingdala, nuclear power has reduced fossil fuel use at major industrial sites, curbing the toxic fumes that are harmful to the environment and public health. By relying more on green energy (solar, wind, hydro, etc.), heavy industry, like steel, can reduce long term energy costs, secure energy access, sell excess energy to the grid for a profit, and make their companies look good in the process.

The JinCo-led group of steel companies pledged that, by 4950, all their energy needs will be met with renewable energy. It is expected that most of the power will come from company built solar and wind farms - maximizing energy security and creating new revenue streams. Moreover, the group of companies pledged to implement new jobs training programs that will allow them to hire workers to run and maintain green energy production.

New jobs training programs will also extend to reskilling and upskilling personnel to handle the move to more high tech steel manufacturing. For years, steel companies across Yingdala have been incorporating more artificial intelligence, data science, automation, and blockchain into their processes. With an increased focus on green energy, there is a higher emphasis on moving the companies into companies of the future. While many traditional jobs will no longer be necessary, plenty of new jobs will be created to run and manage high tech steel production. Hence the new jobs training programs.

Although the move to a more green and high tech industry will be a work in progress, with pressure from below (and hopefully government support), Yingdala's critical steel industry can be catapulted into the future, maximizing efficiency, production, profits, and competition. The country depends on it.

Fan Fen loses leadership after vote of no confidence
The Red Dragon Group is under the sway of a revolutionary new leader who promises radical change

Last night, behind closed doors, Fan Fen lost her leadership position as she lost favor in the eyes of the radical left-wing members of the party. Her attempts to re-welcome more moderate elements of the party were regarded as a direct attack on the proletariat principles of the party. In her stead, Yuan Xing has risen to prominence and promises revolutionary change. Influenced by Zenshō Daenism and self-identifying as a communist, Xing advocates for complete state ownership of industry, progressive moral values, and a strong central government.

Jien Party Wins Sizeable Number of Seats, Seeks Compromise for the Sake of the Nation
Image
Jien Party supporters walk to the polls

In their second election since refounding, the Jien Party has become the second largest party in the "National Congress" (many members affectionately still call it the Grand Assembly). Many supporters did not expect to win an outright majority, or even a plurality, due to the short campaign time and inability to deliver a full platform to the people. Jiang Ning, the party's chairman and its leader in the legislature, said that, "We are willing to work with all parties. We have all taken an oath to defend the institution of the Son of Heaven and no party may seek to abolish it. Thus we must join together and accomplish great things for the Yingdalan people."

Many policies proposed by the Jien Party could be reasonably supported by the rebranded Heaven's Chariot or Yu Imperial Union. The mix of "social market" economics and traditional social policies could be appealing. However, it is unknown if either party would be willing to work with the Jienists, given some disagreements on major issues, such as the Heaven's Chariot Zensho Daenism turn - an ideology that has caused mass destruction domestically and abroad in distant centuries - and the Yu Imperial Union's emphasis on aristocratic rule.

Beyond the policies already proposed, the Jienists will seek government support for the economy and military. A restoration of the Strengthening Yingdala campaign, which was so successful less than 150 years ago. This time, given some recent past policies, more funding will also be needed for cultural endeavors - close to the Jienists' hearts.

For now, the jockeying for power begins.

Yingdalan Economy Takes a Nosedive
Recent nationalization of every industry has affected the great empire drastically, causing widespread suffering
Image
Image

The recent early election, the third in under five years, gave Heaven's Chariot a supermajority. The left-wing party introduced a controversial bill, voted along partisan lines, that nationalized every industry in the nation. The effect of such action has indeed began to show in Yingdala. Once a great economic power, the greatest against every nation is now a cesspool of, well, you know.

The Yingdalan Central Bank (YCB) has released the annual estimates for the end of the year and those numbers point to a long road of misery as the economy comes tumbling down, brick by brick. Unemployment is up 15% from 5% as businesses are forced to close as interest rates skyrocket from 2% to 24% in order to combat inflation caused by more than ¥5 trillion shapir introduced in our economy at once to buy out every industry. More on microeconomics later. With the increase in unemployment, people have failed to pay income taxes, causing the revenue to decrease. The estimates presented by the YCB indicate the revenue falling from 23% this year to -21% in 4934, which will cause our budget deficit to skyrocket creating more debt than the nation has had in over 100 years. Already the GDP has fallen 3% below 0 and will continue to fall to an estimate of -13% by 4934, bringing the world's largest GDP of ¥13.5 trillion shapir down to ¥8.1 trillion shapir in the next five years. Public debt will increase to about ¥18 trillion shapir, almost a 230% increase in public debt. While these are clearly estimates, the outcomes may be far worse than what we have stated here.

Prime Minister Wu Guiying, a huge critic of nationalization, has began to work with the Imperial Cabinet, YCB, and Jien Party National Congress delegation to combat this crisis. The Heavenly Palace Press Secretary for the General Office of the Prime Minister has told reporters in an emergency press briefing this evening that "Prime Minister Wu is reviewing his options to suspend Heaven's Chariot party from the National Congress in order to overturn the recent bill that nationalized every industry." While exiting the podium at the end of the press briefing, the press secretary was caught on a hot mic saying that "these dumba** voters voted for the HC and are now in a f***ing heap of s*** that they expect us to get them out of." It is unknown if she has been fired yet or resigned, however, sources close to the Prime Minister's General Office has stated that Prime Minister Wu brushed off the issue to focus on the great fall.

Economists are calling this economic depression The Fall of a Great Empire. We know for sure how long this will last, but we are expecting it to take at least five years to turn this around and another five years to get back to where we were. If the Yu Imperial Union and Jien Party can form a coalition under Prime Minister Wu to solve this economic crisis, the electorate will remember their actions next time voting comes.

Yingdalan Companies Cease Investments in Anticipation of Government Takeover
Image
Business leaders line up to withdraw funds from now stat run banks

The stock market is in decline. International criticism is increasing. Businesses are scared. This is the current state of Yingdala's economy under a Heaven's Chariot majority - and it is getting worse.

Companies across the island nation are beginning to withdraw cash reserves from the now state run banks - fearful that they will eventually be expropriated by the government. Many are converting their cash to gold and other precious metals in an attempt to preserve value. Some companies are simply cashing out and dissolving, choosing to face the music.

What is worse, the Heaven's Chariot's actions have completely decimated the agriculture and energy industries, especially high tech agriculture and green energy. These are considered strategic industries critical to Yingdala's economic health. Now, they have no incentive for innovation. No motive for profit. They must do as they are told, or be eliminated.

Sources indicate that Heaven's Chariot - who does not have control over the government - has been silent. It is believed that the Cabinet is allowing the now state-owned companies to operate as they did previously, but many are simply too cautious.

The Jien Party and Yu Imperial Union have attempted to reverse Heaven's Chariot's policies to no avail. While the Jien Party has been trying to increase its visibility on issues critical to Yingdalans in hope that it will lead to a major after the next election, the future remains murky.

For now, the Yingdalan people will have to suffer under economic repression that will take years to repair.
