The bid is supported by almost all parties in Indrala but Lotus Party, as enthusiasm of Indralans reach high point. In the plan for the Tian'an World Cup, new stadiums will be built in the cities of Mudanwan, Tian'an and Guozhou. Meanwhile, the TNU Grand Stadium, Tianzhou National Stadium and Blue Lotus Stadium will be refurbished and modernised. Cities will see facelifts with the Mudanwan and Guozhou light rail to connect the city with its airport and stadium. The new Tian'an Imperial Stadium will even be the centrepiece of a new town development in Tian'an.

However, the business circle does not seem to welcome the new World Cup in Indrala as few have announced to sponsor the World Cup. The Tian'an News Network (TNN) will become the official media partner while other sponsors include the national Bank of Indrala, Yukinari Motor Corporation and Indrala Electric. However, the Government has pledged to bear full financial responsibility for the World Cup.

Xi on World Cup: "We will not support the republican vanity project"
Xi Rushi's Lotus Party was the only party to not vote in support of the 4410 World Cup bid

Lotus Party Leader Xi Rushi speaking to a room of reporters

TIAN'AN, Han Province: Xi Rushi led her Lotus Party caucus members in a walkout yesterday during voting on a proposal from the government to host the 4410 World Cup in Indrala. The Official Opposition was the only party to not vote in support of the bid.

Speaking to reporters this morning, the Lotus Party leader declared that her party would "not support the republican vanity project."

"What the Chief Counselor chooses to ignore is that under his government, people are suffering," Xi said, "and rather than build an economy where no one is left behind, Tacky Tang would like to spend billions into deficit to build beautiful stadiums that ordinary people cannot afford to enter!"

Xi lashed out at "runaway" government spending, which first increased national debt through the issuance of bonds during the government's ambitious highway expansion plan. The Leader of the Official Opposition noted the lack of corporate sponsors as "evidence" that the governing Communist-Republican coalition's economic policies are broken.

"What company can be so careless with its money while they're under attack? When our doctors and surgeons have to pay 80% of their income in taxes under the 'Coalition of Chaos,' who will be able to attend? What noble clan would choose to bankroll this irresponsible event when they have been insulted and assaulted by Tang and his gang of thugs?"

A number of Indrala's largest companies, including Xiandai and TQ Group among others have officially declined to sponsor the event. The noble Yi Clan, which has patronized athletes and artists in the past has also chosen to not contribute for "political and financial considerations." So far the only confirmed sponsors are the government-owned Bank of Indrala and IndralaElectric, alongside the Sekowan automotive subsidary Yukinari.

"Only government-owned companies and foreigners are able to afford this event," said Xi, "I hope that this serves as a wake-up call to our Chief Counselor, who has been asleep at the wheel."

Chen Tianwei Resigns

Following two decades of leadership, the Republican League’s founder Chen Tianwei has announced his decision to step down.

During his tenure, Chen oversaw the League’s rise from the second smallest party to the nation’s leading political force. He created a strong and organized party central that has campaigned tirelessly for Republicanism and Jienist values. His ideas of reform, built upon the basis of the Three People’s Principles, was eventually rolled out in years of coalition government between the Communists and the League, a close alliance forged by Chen himself. He has also famously rejected the position of Chief Counselor for his belief in a Republic led by an elected President. Currently, he is serving as the leader of the Indralan highway expansion set for opening in 4410, and serving the nation in positions in charitable foundations and public bodies.

To fill his vacancy, the Republican League Central Revolution Committee has called a special election. Candidates for the election include Chief Counselor Tang Zijing and Minister of Trade and Industry Tang Zili. This leadership election has seen the highest turnout in the history of the League and the preceding Civic Forum, showing the representation of the membership and the Indralan Republican movement. Tang Zijing, the elected leader of the League, has announced that he will continue to spread Republicanism and lead the nation to the achievement of the Three People's Principles, to build a People's Nation, to protect People's Rights and improve People's Livelihoods.

Election Results

Results of the Election

Following borrowing for the Indralan World Cup bid and the Highway Project, alongside legislative failures of the Republican League, the people of Indrala has seemingly abandoned Tang Zijing and his party. As the election results rolled in, the disappointment of Republican League members has only become greater as no surprises has come in. The party slipped from the largest party to the third largest.

As Tang Zijing's first election following his election as Party Leader, this has proven to be a blow to the leadership. The once united party has once again fallen into division as members call for an alternative route to the National Front, another Jienist conservative party in Indrala. Li Muying, a Han assemblyman who has just lost his seat expressed his frustration to the new leadership, calling for the division of party and national leadership. Li said, 'If Tang Zijing wants the party leadership so much, perhaps he should find someone else to campaign for the Chief Counselorship'.

Lü Yejun, 4312-4407

December 28, 4407
KAIZHOU, JIAOZHI

His Grace, Lü Yejun, Duke of Zhongshi, Duke of Ryeo, and Count of the First Rank, Leader of New Dawn, has passed away at the age of ninety-five. Borne of Dankuk’s imperial refugees, Lü rose to prominence in Indralan politics after the abduction of his brother, Seojun, the CEO of FangCaiRyeo Group, by agents of the Hwangje Dictatorship. Like his brother, Lü Yejun never envisioned a life in politics but he quickly found himself set on a path much like that of his ancestors. His popularity grew among the Indralan public and after having been elevated to New Dawn’s leadership with the help of former Phoenix Party leader Lan Liao, Lü found himself leading on of the nation’s largest parties. In 4352, Lü would become Chief Counselor of Indrala in an initial coalition with the Lotus Party. He would go on to serve in that role for seventeen years, the longest term of a modern Indralan head of government. Even after New Dawn’s loss in 4369 and its newfound role as a more minor party in the grand scheme of Indralan politics, Lü would maintain his leadership role in the party, enjoying continued support of his organization’s supporters. Approaching seventy years in his activity with New Dawn, Lü left an unquestionable impact on the party and oversaw a strong core leadership that weathered many electoral ups and downs. Lü Jaewoo, the eldest son of Yejun, has followed in his father’s footsteps and was elected to the Grand Assembly in 4391. In the time since, Jaewoo has been a de facto leader of New Dawn as Yejun reduced his responsibilities in his old age. Nevertheless, Yejun remained a central source of guidance for New Dawn until his death. Yejun is survived by four children: Jaewoo, Minho, Hyesu, and Haneul. Additionally, with his passing, leadership of Clan Lü and all claims held by the Imperial House of Ryeo have passed to Jaewoo.

Guozhou, Han - Today, NDP party leader Tan Zhuoxuan met with Communist party leader Gao Yi in his hometown of Guozhou. After paying respects to the late Communist leader Zhu Ping, in which Zhuoxuan publicly praised the former leader for his achievements in furthering the anti-monarchist cause, he and Gao Yi spoke, at length, about the futures between their two parties.

Zhu Ping, pictured, in his prime:

Despite the differences between the parties, the day ended with a public declaration of a political alliance between the Communists and the Nationalist Democrats, with both stating that the fall of the monarchy must take precedence over ideological qualms - a statement that drew much applause from the traditionally anti-monarchist population of Guozhou.

Crowd's Response when Zhuoxuan Jokingly Asked, "Should we keep the monarchy?":

With two parties, that not only have vastly different political views, but also have well-organized militias, to come together in support of the Republic, Indralan politics may, finally, change for the better.

Forward, Unto the Republic!

Xi and Liu (centre and right, respectively) meet with the Crownlander Ambassador in advance of the state visit

TIAN'AN, Han: A delegation from the United Imperial Crownlands of Hulstria and Gao-Soto has been received in Tian'an, following the formation of the coalition government. Crownlander Staatsminister Heumayr, Finance Minister Goddestreu and Vize-Staatsminister Karolu Mori were greeted at Tian'an International Airport with pomp and circumstance provided by the Emperor's traditional "Kyo Guard," as well as members from the Armed Forces. Escorted by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Lotus Party Leader Xi Rushi, the delegation made its way to the Grand Assembly Building, where they had a working lunch with Foreign Minister Liu Jinghao, Defence Minister General Lin Wenyue, and Xi Rushi.

Xi, Leader of the Lotus Party and a long-time ally of the modern Septemberist movement, congratulated the Staatsminister on the recent reformation and restoration of the Crownlander government. Foreign Minister Liu also asserted her belief in the possibility for fruitful relations between the two Dovani powers, speaking to media before the lunch.

"We see in this Septemberist government a rational, pragmatic and multiculturalist direction for Hulstria/Gao-Soto," said Liu, "the Indralan government is operating in complete faith in the government in Kien and in its ability to reconcile the genocidal violence of the past with a vision for stability and peace in the future." Xi added, in rough Dundorfian, "Aus Schaden wird man klug," or "adversity is the mother of wisdom."

The Foreign Minister is said to have proposed that Indrala and Hulstria/Gao-Soto begin to enter negotiations to sign a comprehensive free-trade agreement in the style of the Indrala-New Endralon CFTA, in order to facilitate Indralan investment in the recovering Crownlander economy. The Foreign Minister accepted an invitation from the Crownlander delegation to attend the upcoming Dovani Economic Forum.

From the Grand Assembly Building, the Crownlander delegation was taken for a tour of the National Gallery of Indrala and Tian'an National University, Indrala's premier advanced education institution. Academics and researchers from across Indrala had a meeting with the delegation to explore closer ties, especially in the field of cultural and historical archaeology. Recent Order of the Blossoming Peony recipient and longtime Dean of Kaizhou National University Ma Sichun has long stressed the importance of archaeological findings in unravelling the "labyrinthian cultural history of Dovani and of Indrala." Crownlander Vize-Staatsminister Karolu Mori has spoken in the past about his desire to encourage cooperative bilateral research projects.

In the following morning, the group visited the Qianhuayuan, or "Thousand-flower Garden," private residence of His Imperial Majesty's grandsons, Princes' Jianlong and Jianhao. Prince Jianlong received a message from the Mikado of Gao-Soto in place of the Son of Heaven. The Prince, however, courteously declined the invitation from the Mikado for the Tianshun Emperor to visit Miyako out of filial concern for his Holy Grandfather's advanced age. Instead, the Prince presented the delegation with a Minzhu Dynasty carved laquer phoenix box (it was during the Minzhu Dynasty when the Phoenix and Dragon Treaty was ratified) filled with aged teas and an invitation to the Mikado and his family to visit the Heavenly City. A great honour, no foreign head of state has yet entered the Heavenly City since the proclamation of the Yu Dynasty. The delegation was invited to spend the evening at the Quanhuayuan.

From Tian'an, the Crownlanders flew to Kaizhou where they spent the remainder of their trip in discussions with business leaders. It is said that Indralan investors were very eager to enter the Crownland market, viewing the nation's economy as poised for a resurgence similar to the Jiaozhi Miracle.
