WEILEI video livestreams,
TQ Group Vice-Chairwoman Tang Sulun fielded questions from students and young people across the nation. Tang refers to the livestream as a "shareholders' meeting."
"We're all shareholders in Indrala's future," Tang said when announcing the livestream schedule last month. "It is my sincere hope that through these shareholder meetings I will be able, in my own small way, to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit of our young people."
Inevitably, Tang was asked about the
myriad of scandals plaguing the
Lü Clan, which controls TQ Group's primary competitor, the
FCR Group.
"Of course, it's very troubling news," Tang said with a sullen expression. "It goes to show that when a group of people get desperate and resort to dubious methods, nothing good can come from it. I do hope that Jiyu and her family are able to find peace as soon as possible. Let's not forget that our Chief Counselor is a member of this family. We must all pray that he's able to remain focused on his job with all this buzzing around. If not, he must have the courage to take time for himself."
Her seemingly vague call for the resignation of Lü Jaewoo spawned further questions, which she used to clarify her statement.
"Of course, if Jaewoo is able to do his job, he should stay. Of course! I'm simply stating that should he be unable to focus all of his attention on the job he was elected to do, he should consider stepping down, at least temporarily. I have faith that he will be able to complete his mandate, but that decision rests with him."
Further, Tang commended the government for reversing many of the "anti-growth" policies undertaken by the republican coalition and credited the majority government with "encouraging investor confidence."
"We know that when the pro-democratic coalition is in power, Indrala's economy does better. That's just the facts. Economic activity is up 320% from the last administration! People are building again, and that's no doubt due to the stability that has come from throwing the old government to the curb. Nothing kills a competitive economy like a communist!"
A large portion of Tang's two-hour video livestream was devoted to explaining business management concepts and economic theory and helping post-secondary students with their homework. During the livestream, 20-year-old
Dongjing University business student Fang Yuting impressed Tang with her depth of knowledge and quick wit.
"Would you like to come learn with me?" Tang asked the student. "How about you come to Kaizhou and work for me?"
The student, shocked and emotional, responded enthusiastically. Tang promised to speak with her after the livestream and "set her up" with an airline ticket.
