INDRALA CONDEMNS SITUATION IN DRANLAND, ARMED FORCES PLACED ON HIGH ALERT

With the recent Dranish military coup, the Imperial Court and Government of the Empire of Great Indrala, possessing the colonial holdings of Utari Mosir, bordering the "Commonwealth of North Dovani", have swiftly issued a condemnation of the new Dranish regime. In the name of His Imperial Majesty, Minister Herald and of Foreign Affairs, Director of Dependent States Meng Kuang states that, "This coup is a huge blow to democracy in Dovani and in Terra. The people spoke when parliament voted in a government led by President Sun Ryoji. His Excellency had the support of the people. The military does not. Civilized societies are those that ensure the military is checked by the government of the people. Clearly, the new dictators of Dranland are committed to barbarism. The Empire of Great Indrala does not recognize this new regime and only grants its recognition to the government of Sun Ryoji. Easily, this mess would have been prevented if the Dranish Triumvirate had been formed. With a triarchy of constitutional monarchs, each ethnic group would be placated. The symbols considered 'native' to Dranland would have been preserved. Only then could the people focus on restoring the economy. Not only that, but the three constitutional monarchs would have provided a rallying point for the people, as they would be apolitical. Rallying around national symbols who are living and active would have prevented a coup and a destruction of democracy. If any individual, vessel, etc. sets foot on Indralan territory or in Indralan national waters, the Empire of Great Indrala shall view this as an act of war. I can assure the new regime in Dranland, the Imperial Armed Forces of Indrala are far more experienced and better funded than your own guardians. We will remove you from power, restore democracy to Dranland, and aid the legitimate Dranish government with whatever they desire."

The Holy Emperor of Indrala has reportedly sent a telegram to His Majesty King Jongki II, offering his assistance and asylum for the entire Royal Clan of Ryeo in Indrala, residing within the Heavenly Palace itself, until the situation in Dranland ends.

Dovani Continentalists, those devoted to the continent being ruled solely by natives, have started protesting "Dictator Joel's" tyrannical regime throughout the Empire. Many are blaming him solely for his Luthorian given name, calling it shameful and traitorous to the Dranish nation. Other more radical individuals have started protesting Luthori's continued presence on the continent, noting its inactive behavior towards Dovani affairs and total distance from Dovani. The Imperial Court and Government have not taken an official stance on this issue.

Let it be known that Indrala was the first to condemn the dictatorial regime in Dranland and call for democracy.

OOC: I'd just like to point out that Joel is also a Spanish/Draniano name.

Military Drills Begin, Increase in Presence in Statrican Military Bases

After the fall of the Deltarian Empire, as an act of friendship and loyalty, Holy Deltaria gave the Empire of Great Indrala its colonial holdings of Statrica and North Utembo, further increasing Indrala's power and influence on the continent of Dovani. Being as Statricans view Indrala the most favorably after Deltaria and that North Utembo was originally under Deltarian control, the transfer has gone along smoothly. With this new acquisition, there are rumors of further devolving control to the colonies, along with a proposition that will grant viceroy and governor general status to natives of the colony, barring Indralan representatives from holding the highest position of authority.

These changes are purported to reduce the costs of colonial management, as devolution will likely placate those calling for independence and more democracy, essentially giving them independence in all but name. This does not mean, however, Indrala is withdrawing itself from the continent. During the crisis of the Deltarian Empire, Indrala was given the authority to move in troops to ensure stability in the Deltarian colonies. Now that those colonies are Indrala's, the government has seen it fit to send even more troops to the region, more so in defense of a possible outbreak of violence in Dranland. These troops will be stationed in and around the military bases Indrala built when it sold North Utembo to Deltaria. Indrala is taking the situation very seriously, sending its one and only carrier strike group to the colony's naval base, making it farthest northern Indralan base in Terra.

Military forces in Statrica are reported to be undergoing defensive maneuvers in case of a Dranish attack, looking for the best ways to defend the populace and save as many lives and natural landscapes as possible. These exercises appear to be coinciding with a complete drill of the Imperial Armed Forces, not only preparing for defense, but also for strategic strikes and an invasion. The island of Dalibor is being used to simulate a smaller naval based invasion, while Hanzen is being used to act as a larger example. Forces in Kimlien are being used in a pincer like attack, simulating an attack on Hanzen from the South and East.

Most international experts argue that these drills are solely aimed at Dranland. However, they question why Utari Mosir and Vascania are not seeing military drills. That could be easily answered by the volatility of strikes there, which could blow over into Hulstrian and Luthorian territory, potentially drawing them into any conflict, which means Indrala and its territories in the South make for the best target.

In other news, the Dranish Free State has been awarded an aid package by the House of the Way of Humane Authority. Merchant ships will transport the supplies, which consist of food, medical supplies, daily household supplies, cash, and defense equipment, among other things, to Elbian Province.

NOTE: These military drills used real ammunition

Ministers Slam Dranish Dictatorship and Cronies, Lengthen Military Drills

With the arrival of the merchant ships to Elbian Province, the Dranish Free State is in a better position to conduct its activities. The Government has stated that it is more than willing to further supply the Free Dranish should they require more assistance. With that being said, the recent military drills conducted by the Imperial Armed Forces were largely aimed at the Dictatorship of Dranland should the bandit government seek to invade the Dranish Free State. However, a few issues have arisen with the sending of aid.

Huo Qi, Minister of Trade and Investment, official stated that, "The granting of arms in the form of aid to the Free Dranish does not constitute as a sale of weapons, therefore, not breaking any of the dictatorial trading edicts of the illegitimate government in Iglesia Mayor. Furthermore, any continued attempts to block the passage of our ships in international waters shall be viewed as a violation of international law, which shall be dealt with accordingly."

The Dranish Dictatorship's inspection of Indralan merchant ships has drawn ire amongst the high command of the Imperial Armed Forces. A small group of patrol and coast guard vessels were sent to the aid of the merchant ships, in an attempt to warn the Dranish fascists off. To send such ships to rescue a ship in danger may be seen as laughable by other nations, however, the Dranish Navy, along with its entire military, is a laughing stock of Terra. Not only is their equipment aged, but they have no funding. One wonders how it can even function...unless the plutocrats of the GNP have been sending aid to their precious "republican" government.

Indralan analysts have begun to bash Dictator and Tyrant Coburo and the GNP as a whole for being in cahoots, favoring the dictatorship where the elite can take all of the money from the taxpayers and enjoy comfortable and lavish lives in the tropics of Baltusia. The most noted example is the "Cultural Monarchy Council", which was merely called to placate the Kyo and Draddwyr, so that the bandit government could more easily oppress them into submission without the intention of restoring the rightful monarchy of the Kyo, Draddwyr, and Dranianos.

However, the most pertinent news of all comes with the naval exercises of the Dranish Dictatorial Navy off the coast of Indrala. The rag tag array of ailing vessels was definitely a message to Indrala. Further complicating the situation is the involvement of New Endralon, a relatively new player to the international field and stranger to Dovani affairs.

Minister Meng Ke states, "New Endralon should keep out of Dovani affairs. They are not a Dovani nation, nor do they even know the situation occurring on the continent. Should they even attempt to use their military to meddle with Indrala or Dranland, it will be seen as an act of war. Indrala would much rather unite together with Dranland to eliminate the presence of a foreign nation in Dovani than squabble over government issues. The sovereignty of our continent is paramount to all things. Only then can we truly begin to solve the problems we have with each other."

While surprising, Minister Meng's statement is the general belief of the entire Indralan nation. Grand Commandant and Minister of Defense Wang Zongshu issued an official memorial on the Dranish military drills.

"The Dranish Dictatorship's audacity to conduct military drills in the international waters of the coast of Indrala is shocking. Not only do they conduct military action in international waters, but they are disrupting trade for Indrala and other nations in South Dovani. Do they not realize that this could be seen as a form of embargo? While Dranland may not have liked our military exercises, at least they were conducted near our own lands and in our own waters. I am authorizing our own drills to continue until the Dranish leave."

The Celestial Empire's military drills shall continue until further notice.

OOC: To clarify the situation about the defunding of the military, the military has pretty much seized control of the Treasury and can splurge as much as it likes. Anything done by Parliament is really large symbolic.
