MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS REVEALS NEW ECONOMIC ORGANIZATION
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed a new trade/economic organization named ATCO aimed at encouraging trade and making it easier to trade between nations surrounding the Antonese sea
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tai'nan: Minister of Foreign Affairs Pan Xun recently revealed a new organization which will be founded by the Indrala government. This new organization which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls a "economic organization" rather then a trade organization has the goal of encouraging and easing trade between nations situated around the Antonese sea. In addition to this the organization shall also serve as a "strong arm to issue embargo's, sanctions or other measures collectively against rogue states or states violating international law"

The new organization is called the "Antonese Trade and Commerce Organization" (ATCO for short) and Foreign Minister Xun has stated that for now Indrala and Lourenne have expressed their intentions of joining the organization. Invitations have also been send to other nations in the Antonese sea region to do the same. The organization is not a ordinary trade organization however. While it does eliminate tariffs between its signatory members and does promote trade by the use of subsidies and other measures it will be led by all the Finance ministers of the different signatory members with all Finance ministers gaining one vote on "The Council" which is the leading organ of the organization. In addition to this a chairman will be appointed by these finance ministers which will lead the day to day business of the organization and will serve as the speaker during meetings of The Council. The organization can as a whole invest in small scale projects in its member states, issue embargo's which will be embargo's that must be enforced by all its member states or issue sanctions. By having such a organization Indrala and Lourenne hope to form a strong bloc against rogue states or any other potential adversary by collectively standing against such nations.
The Council, which consists of all the finance ministers and the chairman, will be the organ deciding upon sanctions, embargo's etc.

The ATCO has been formed upon the reveal and it is expected that both the Indrala and Lourennais parliaments will ratify the treaty for entry within the next months.

MAJOR MILITARY "EMERGENCE" ACT UNDERWAY, GOVERNMENT PLEDGES 300 BILLION LOD
The Indralan government has announced a major military program aimed at "dragging the Indralan military back on the world stage"
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tai'nan: The Citizen's Alliance is seemingly trying to achieve its ambition of quite literally elevating Indrala to once again become a major global power. After first investing billions into the economy and presenting their plan for a regional trade organization between Antonese surrounded nations the government has now presented a plan for the indralan military which has been in decline for over 100 years now. The plan which is named the Military Emergence and Expansion Act or MEEA includes over 300 billion LOD worth of repairs, modernizations and expansions for the military. In this act the Army will be reduced from the current 2 million active soldiers on duty to only around 450.000. In addition to this funds will be reserved to repair and modernize existing equipment in the army as well as research and develop new equipment. The reduction in army numbers was mostly created to fascilitate the new "superiority by technology" doctrine that the army will follow. This doctrine steps away from superiority through numbers and focussess more on training and technological superiority. However experts state that the Indralan army will likely remain one of the largest on the planet due to their large amount of reservists (over 5 million) and a large amount of equipment such as tanks in their ranks.

The Navy will also receive a significant amount of funds to, for example, repair and modernize the INS Tianxing, the only supercarrier in the Indralan Imperial Navy. They will also be obligated to scrap any ships older then 350 years and repair and modernize those younger then that. Additional ships will also be constructed and, if needed, the MOD will work with private Indralan companies in developing new ship designs for the navy. Government officials state that Councelor Peng Song and the current Admiral of the Imperial Fleet have the intention of making the Indralan navy one of the if not the largest and strongest on terra, citing that the Indralan Navy will possibly replace the Imperial Army as the largest branch within the military at a later stage.

And lastly the Imperial Airforce will receive funds to repair and modernize the current airfleet. The MOD stated that modern combat requires "a strong and capable airforce" and that the airforce will likely play a major role for Indrala's military in the future as well. They will also work with private companies to possibly develop new aircraft capable of fighting in modern warfare, giving the private sector a major role in this big program as they will work to both produce and develop for the Army, Navy and Airforce.

The entire plan is expected to last 10 years at the minimum with a possibility of it lasting 12 to 13 years in total. The cost of the program has raised some eyebrows with many, with certain critique placed on the seeminlgy more active role the CA wants Indrala to play in global politics. And many believing the massive amounts of money could be better used elsewhere. For now however most Indralans seem to support the new program with the CA and Councelor Peng Song promising that its will "not only benefit the indralan military but will also provide a boost to the indralan private sector due to the heavy emphasize on government-private sector cooperation for this program"

COUNCELOR EXPRESSES CONCERNS OVER DALIBOR SITUATION
Councelor-in-Chief Peng Song has expressed his concern over the current situation in Dalibor stating that "the situation cannot be permitted to get out of hand"
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tai'nan: In a public statement Councelor-in-Chief Peng Song has expressed his concern on the military coup and subsequent popular unrest in Dalibor, Indrala's closest neighbour. According to Song the situation "has the potential of escalating quickly" and "everything must be done to prevent the bloodshed that has occured in Dalibor in the past". The Daliborian People's Army conducted a coup in the dovani nation earlier this year, arresting the entire national government and the leaders of the constituent countries within the federation. These leaders are currently in the process of being prosecuted for "High Treason" according to several sources in Dalibor.

Meanwhile popular unrest is growing in the nation. While economic troubles and corruption had plagued the federal government and the governments of the seperate constituent countries for decades the federal system did achieve one goal, preserving the peace in the nation which has largely been plagued by unrest in past centuries. With the military coup many changed however, the coupists under the leadership of General Zhang proceeded to dismantle the federal system, putting all of the country under a single centralized military administration with it officially being named the "Provisional Dalibor Administration". While at first it seemed people where kept under control by the small Dalibor military now, a few weeks later, unrest is starting to mount with large scale protests and small scale riots being reported in major cities and the military reportedly considering the use of lethal force against protestors. Rumours of the coup being instigated by the many criminal organizations on the island nation have only angered the populace more.

The federal system that was put in place in Dalibor had kept the peace in the nation for the past century. The reasoning for the coup seems doubtfull to me. While unemployment and corruption was a acknowledged problem in de Dalibor government these were not unfixable problems to be fixed through legal means. There was no urgent necessity for a coup that is destabilizing the nation that has seen so much instability in its history. The removal of the federal elements of government and institution of a centralized authority will only further worsen the vulitile situation and i therefor call upon the new military administration to reinstitute democracy in the nation as soon as possible and refer back to a federal form of government before the situation gets out of hand.

Said Councelor-in-Chief Peng Song.

The ministry of Foreign Affairs has already issued a travel warning for Indralan visitors to Dalibor and is discussing measures to protect Indralan citizens living in the nation. The Councelor states that he will try to use diplomatic measures to ensure that the situation in Dalibor doesnt get out of hand.

Jien Constitutionalists Partially Supportive of Citizens' Alliance, Express Concerns About Jienism in Society
Image
Long Yahui performs a Jienist ritual

With the past few bills passing the Grand Assembly with full support, many have been wondering if the Jien Constitutionalists have merely become a faction of the Citizens' Alliance, the party controlling the government. Although both parties agree on revamping Yingdala's economy and improving its military, there are plenty of issues where the parties disagree. Specifically, the parties disagree on social issues.

Long Yahui, the new Chairman of the Jien Constitutionalist Party, has expressed concern about the Citizens' Alliance move to eliminate Jienism and Guidao as Yindgdala's official, voluntary religions, as well as on other issues like abortion, adoption, drugs, and justice.

Although the Citizens' Alliance, I believe, feels that they are doing what is best for the country, they positions on a number of issues are disturbing and certainly not Jienist. They have opened the door to parents killing their children for no reason other than selfishness, allowing unnatural unions to legally adopt children thereby depriving them of a mother and father, yin and yang; creating societal havoc through drug use - which impacts both individuals, families, and communities, and increasing costs on the justice system that will lead to more people in prison. Not to mention, some of their economic policies are questionable, like their position on monopolies, and could lead to party involvement and even leadership of private corporations. The Jien Constitutionalists need to do better. We are the direct heirs of Yingdala's oldest and natural ruling party, the Jien Party or Jien Faction. We should assume this mantle with democracy.

Furthermore, the Jien Constitutionalists are keen to separate themselves on foreign policy. On the Dalibor issue, the Jien Constitutionalists are urging caution, noting that intervention without thought and Jienist roots cannot lead to a good place. They argue Jienist precepts only call for interventions, termed as punishments, when a foreign leader disobeys the Son of Heaven. Even then, direct intervention should only take place if all other efforts have failed.

For now, it seems that if the Citizens' Alliance can focus solely on economically and militarily beneficial parties, the Jien Constitutionalists will only be happy to agree. However, expect stronger fights on social issues that cut to the core of Jienism.

Son of Heaven Conducts Annual Prayers to Heaven for Yingdalan Prosperity
Image
Annual prayers to Heaven ceremony taking place at the Altar of Heaven

The Son of Heaven, as per his traditional requirements, performed the annual prayers to Heaven. During the ritual, the Son of Heaven sacrificed a bull, burnt incense, and performed a full kow tow to Heaven.

These prayers, in additional to a good harvest, also contained requests to bless Yingdala's leaders to be examples of Jienism, that Jienist thought would be imbued in the hearts of all Yingdalans, and that the Yingdalan economy could grow so that all could feed themselves.

For the moment, the Son of Heaven has largely stuck to performing traditional rites. However, there is a movement to get him more involved with touring the country, meeting with the Counselor-in-Chief once a week, and making regular speeches to the people. It is currently not known whether His Majesty will take these individuals up on their advice due to his shy and studious nature. Perhaps the people will see more of their Sovereign soon.

CA WINS IN ANOTHER LANDSLIDE, CHANGES PARTY NAME AND COLOR
Peng Song, leader of the Citizen's Alliance which is now called the Democratic Party, celebrated his party's major election victory
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tai'nan: Councelor-in-chief Peng Song celebrated his party's major victory with a grand speech and party in the party HQ in the capital. His party, the Citizen's Alliance, once again managed to win a overwhelming victory with over 76% of the vote and seats going to him and his party. While the people and party celebrated a vote was also held among the members of the party to rebrand the party into a Big-Tent center-left party, still vouching for environmental measures and their traditional message but opening up to a wider audience as a whole. Party members voted in favour of the changes by 60% which changes the party name to the "Democratic Party" and changes its color to deep blue.

The Councelor-in-chief commented on the party's success by saying:

It is clear that the Indralan people want a open, transparant and fair government that works with and for them. People want to see progressive legislation passed to propell our nation forward and past the conservative and narrow minded vision of previous administrations. The Democratic Party as we will be known from now on will fight for the ideals of freedom, progress and the rights of women, minorities and workers! Let us continue on the path of the previous 6 years and build a Indrala for all!

Peng Song stated that backed by the election results he intends to keep the current sitting government in power, ensuring that none of the ministers in his cabinet will be replaced.
The new name and affiliation of the party has caused many to believe that it will push for more socially progressive legislation as it is clear that the population still supports this course. Analysts suggest that this will lead to a further divide between the Democratic Party and the Constitutionalists.

INS TIANXING NEARLY REPAIRED AND MODERNIZED, OTHER PROJECTS CONTINUE
The Ministry of Defense has released a report on the progress of the military modernizations and changes outlined in the MEEA bill
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Tai'nan: In a recently released report on the progress of the MEEA bill the Ministry of Defense stated that modernizations and repairs on the INS Tianxing, the sole supercarrier of the Indralan Imperial Fleet, are nearly completed and that the newly modernized vessel will enter renewed sea trials by the end of this year. The INS Tianxing had long been the flagship of the Imperial Navy but had fallen into disrepair after decades of defunding and poor maintenance. The newly modernized ship "possesses everything a modern supercarrier needs" and is one of the only carriers in Terra to have a nuclear engine, allowing it to travel for extremely long distances without the need to refuel. This had been a feature on the INS Tianxing since its construction but is still one of its most prominent features to date.

The ship will likely once again serve as the flagship of the Imperial Navy once fully operational. While the indralan supercarrier modernization went smoothly there have also been some problems in other areas of the MEEA modernizations according to the report. The development and construction of additional ships for the fleet have been halted and none have been constructed yet as several problems during the design phase and early testing phase have led to severe delays in the schedule. Modernizations of Indrala's existing fleet of Destroyers and Cruisers has however been underway but also received minor delays due to problems in the delivery of the neccessary materials.

Not only the navy is having some slight problems however as the report also talks about problems within the Imperial Airforce its attempt at modernizing its airfleet. While repairs are currently being peformed on some of Indrala's older jets and planes modernizations on those same jets and planes have jet to start as problems in the weapon designs of the to be installed weaponry have led to the scrapping of the Original plan. The Ministry of Defense is now looking together with designers of the Xiandai Defense Company into a fix for the design problem of the weaponry. The Ministry did however announce that it has started a cooperation with the Xiandai Defense Company and Zhijia to develop a new fighter jet for the Imperial Airforce. This jet is in its design phase and is expected to be a response to the more advanced jets of other airforces accross the globe. Likely possessing advanced stealth features amongst other modern technologies. No further details on this project have been released as of yet.

The ground forces seem to have no real problem with their modernization and repair programs as they are starting to focus on developing new weaponry themselves in cooperation with the Yidashi Group. It is expected that further details on these projects will be revealed at a later date.
Costs for the MEEA program are set to exceed the initial expectation of 350 billion LOD by the end of it. When asked about this the Ministry of Defense refused to comment.

Jien Constitutionalists Concede, Pledge Cooperation on Areas of Mutual Interest
Image
Long Yahui gives election concession speech

In their third election since forming, the Jien Constitutionalists have lost for a second time. Disappointment spread throughout their headquarters in Tian'an, leading some to question the party's role in Yingdala given its small stature. Leaders within the party have even begun considering disbanding and reestablshing the historical Jien Faction as a way to garner votes. So far, Party Chairman Long Yahui appears to be staving off that option.

In his concession speech, Long congratulated the Citizens' Alliance, now the Democratic Party, on their victory. He promised that the Jien Constitutionalists would work with the Democrats on issues where they agreed, but vowed to serve as the Jienist voice against the radical social proposals.

One thing is for sure, if the Jien Constitutionalists keep losing, their status as a party and Yingdala's democracy may cease to exist.

Son of Heaven Weds in Traditional, Televised Ceremony
Image
The Son of Heaven, Jiang Ji, and his new bride, Empress Si Yi

After years of bachelorhood, His Majesty the Son of Heaven wed Si Yi, a women of a Jiaozhi noble clan that is a branch of the Yu Clan, in a televised and traditional ceremony in September.

During the ceremony, the Si Yi was accompanied by a traditional procession from the Si Family Mansion to the Heavenly Palace in Tian'an. The procession, more like a parade due to the lion dancers, traditional band, and fireworks, was flanked by thousands of spectators wishing the royal consort well. The Son of Heaven received his bride at the gate of the Palace with great fanfare, including a large fireworks display.

The main ceremony took place at the Ancestral Temple in the Palace, where the two kowtowed to each other, to Si Yi's parents, and the Ji Clan ancestral tablets. Next, the procession made its way to the smaller Heavenly Temple on the Palace grounds, where the bride and groom worshiped Heaven and the multitude of gods and goddesses.

Finally, a large banquet was held in the Palace of Heavenly Peace for the two families, as well as government officials, members of the Grand Assembly, and foreign diplomats. Outside the palace, officials of the royal household offered smaller feasts for local spectators.
