Foreign Minister Releases Statement on International Sanctions; Ceases Business Assets and Freezes Personal Assets
Foreign Minister Ah Hui Tu released an official statement on multiple sanctions from members of the Northern Council

Tian'an, Han ─ Today, Foreign Minister Ah Hui Tu released an official statement responding to multiple sanctions. Northern Council members─mainly Dorvik, Lourenne, and Dolgava─announced sanctions of the Grand Union over the year in response to our quick and temporary solution to the death camps in Pontesi. Minister Ah brokered a deal that ended death camps and allowed for all participating countries to come to the table, however, that deal quickly ended when sanctions were placed on our country, restarting death camps in Pontesi.

Pontesi has enacted an atrocious and inhumane policy that is unlike any other ever seen in Terra. What they have done and are doing cannot be considered less than genocide. It is vile, repulsive, and a threat to human rights and the international community must stand against such acts.

In the middle of last year, I traveled to Pontesi to broker a deal that would end death camps and bring all participating parties to the table to work out a permanent solution. This was done hastily to quickly end the slaughter of millions of ethnic Selucians in the subject country. That quickly died as Dorvik, Lourenne and Dolgava issued sanctions against Yingdala. While we sought a temporary solution, the Northern Council sought to attack the Yingdalan economy, swearing that our actions supported and amplified the death camps. That is far from the truth. Our actions took a quick stand against death camps and set the table to solve the issue once and for all.

Yingdala also offered to intake all 12.6 million ethnic Selucians from Pontesi in order to provide temporary shelter, safeguarding their lives and their freedom until Pontesi's were nullified and a permanent solution was in place. It is now clear that the Northern Council and those who placed sanctions on Yingdala aren't really searching for a solution or prepared to handle such a big task, however, I have ordered my ministry to cease all communications with Pontesi and end the deal. As anticipated and warned, the death camps returned and Ponti-Selucians are once again being slaughtered as we speak. This is despicable.

While Dorvik sought to gain an economic win, Lourenne sought to "try" and replace Yingdala as the leader of protecting human rights, and Dolgava followed along in their footsteps. They are nothing more than opportunists and we condemn such actions. We respect these countries, however, we do not respect their decision to place such sanctions. That's why I am ordering the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to work with our ministerial colleagues to cease all business assets and freeze all personal and individual assets of Dorvik, Lourenne, and Dolgava that is in Yingdala. These assets will remain under Yingdalan government control until sanctions are lifted.

We are requesting that the Northern Council members reverse course and undo the placed sanctions. We want to get back to working with our northern friends in trading freely across borders. We also will entrust the Northern Council will handle Pontesi's vile acts accordingly and bring justice to the Selucian people.

Minister Ah announce that she ordered the ceasing of Dorvik, Lourenne, and Dolgavan business assets within Yingdala as well as personal assets of the individuals from those nations who reside in Yingdala or hold assets in Yingdala. These assets range from financial to real estate. The Ministry of Trade and Industry is beginning to work with the Attorney General in order to enact this order. However, National Liberty Party National Congress delegation leader, Leader Adiah Okadigbo, questioned Minister Ah's action as unproductive and a hindrance to furthering diplomatic efforts with the mentioned countries.

So far, the markets in Yingdala have seen a slight decline in growth and other areas as the sanctions begin to take effect on Yingdalans. Many are calling the Prime Minister to act in order to solve the international dispute before it becomes an international crisis.

Bajoum, Utembo ─ After nearly 25 years in Utembo, Yingdalan troops are preparing to depart the country. Many successes have come of their time in the country that will last centuries and will set the nation up to compete with big economies. Focused mainly on infrastructure and economic development, Yingdalan troops also trained Utemban troops, developing the nation's military to ensure the safety and security of their people. Many troops stationed in Utembo have said that their time there was "beyond fulfilling" as they share stories with our reporters.

One marine said that they learned a lot about different people in Utembo. "My time here was well spent," the marine began. "We spent over 20 years in Utembo, learning about the people and their way of life. This allowed us to see change our mindset, to change our way of thinking when it comes to Utembo and Dovani. We met many different ethnic groups, help set up thousands of community Savings and Loans Associations and built their infrastructure. What I'm more proud of is living with the different families here and being a part of their culture. This was truly inspirational and I am sad to leave."

The Imperial Military Commission today announced that the 20,000 troops and the naval fleet stationed in Utembo will be heading to Midway; however, they later changed their mind to allow these soldiers to come back home to their families. The IMC announced that the naval base in Midway will send 20,000 soldiers and a fleet of 15 ships. While the capacity of the base is large compared to the released numbers, the IMC said their main goal is to allow for diplomatic discussions to happen between Liore and Yingdala, as Liore is suspecting us of imperialism.

Even though our troops are returning home from Utembo, Yingdala will send foreign aid to aid in economic development. Those negotiations are being had as we speak.

Dr. Chin Xiuying Yawen officially joined the International Institute of Philosophy. This philosophical genius has led countless studies in his area of specialization and has received a title of nobility for his outstanding work. Here's a brief summary of the philosophers:

Dr. Chin Xiuying Yawen was born in a small city in Anle in the year of the rat, 4847. Dr. Chin attended Indrala University where he majored in Philosophy. Still undecided about his specialization, he went on to attend graduate school where he studied philosophy of law. While studying for his master's degree, Dr. Chin wrote a bibliography on human rights where he stated the role of liberalism and how it influences human rights.

After completing his master's degree, Dr. Chin continued to study to receive his Ph.D. in Philosophy. However, this time he chose a different specialization. Switching gears from the philosophy of law, he chose to study its counterpart, social and political philosophy. At the end of his doctoral studies, Dr. Chin wrote a dissertation on global governance where he argued against global governance, something some Yingdalan leaders embraced early on.

Dr. Chin became one of the most prominent law, social and political philosophers during his tenure. Directly upon graduating with his doctoral degree, Dr. Chin received a job at the World Congress where he worked with philosophers from all walks of life, studying, researching, and advising the World Congress and its member nations using his expertise in philosophy of law, social, and politics. After ten years of service with the World Congress, Dr. Chin returned from Whale Island where His Imperial and Royal Majesty, Son of Heaven, Emperor Yu Xi Gu granted him the title of Duke of Anle and appointed him as a judge on the second-highest court in the land.

As a judge, Dr. Chin (Duke Chin, prefers Dr. Chin) believed that justice should always remain blind. As such, little by little, the corruption in the judicial system lessened as many judges embodied the principles of Judge Chin. His sense of blind justice worked well as the perpetrator, victim, and victim's family received justice based on the facts presented and the letter of the law.

As they head to the IIP, we know that his expertise, his knowledge, will be beneficial to the continued success of international philosophy.

Kalistan Market Interference Opening Door for a Steel Recession
With Kalistan boosting steel production, Yingdala is beginning to prepare itself for a likely steel production war, likely to cause a recession in the industry as steel prices drastically fall below market value

Yingdala has led Terra in steel production, making up a majority of the steel market share. This allowed Yingdala to dominate the industry for hundreds of years, making it a hotspot for steel buyers. Controlling the market price, the nation has committed itself to remain the figurehead and tyrant of the entire industry, that is, until Kalistan began to interfere in that industry.

Early last month, Kalistan's Nationalised Steel Industry, KALNAFERCO, announced that it is lifting restrictions on steel production in hopes of attracting international buyers. With the lifting of these restrictions, Kalistan steel producers are expected to boost production by 400%, increasing their output from 18 million tonnes per year to 90 million tonnes. In addition, Kalistan announced that it is offering a 10% discount on steel. Economists in Yingdala have decried this attempt as "economic warfare" and urged our leaders to get involved.

Yingdala has, in the last few years, signed numerous trade deals that expanded steel exports to other countries, however, the market demand for steel has remained stagnant over the years, causing the market price to remain stagnant at ¥420 INS without any massive or average fluctuation. However, within a week of the news from Kalistan, investors began to rampage as they saw a great loss heading in their direction. Market price has since then dropped by 7% and is expected to continue falling as steel production increase as demand for steel remains the same, if not, decreasing.

Upon hearing the news last month, Trade Minister Jie Kun Wu held a meeting with top steel producers in the nation to begin laying out a gameplan to combat Kalistan's attempt to crash the market. At the successful completion of said meeting, the Ministry of Trade and Industry established the "Steel War Production Commission". The job of the SWPC is to supervise the production of steel for the longevity of this current "economic warfare." The commission will be chaired by and supervised by Minister Jie as she works with steel producers to counter any and all "harmful acts of aggression to the steel market by Kalistan and other trigger-happy steel-producing nations."

At this current moment, Yingdala produces approximately 300 million tonnes of steel per year. As of today, steel producers have been ordered by Trade Minister Jie to "drastically increase" steel production to keep the market price from sending the industry into a recession. In addition to steel companies, other manufacturing companies have been ordered to temporarily use 25% of their company for steel production. The Trade Ministry is, however, lobbying members of the National Congress to allocate more than ¥400 billion INS to the Trade and Industry Ministry to be used to subsidize the participating companies in the market to spur steel output.

We are expected to see steel production increase by 48% by the end of this year, increasing output from 300 million to 444 million tonnes. Economists aren't extremely happy about this. "The response by Minister Jie is outright hysterical," Dr. Shen Lee, an economist at Indrala University, began. "If Kalistan continues to produce at 400% each year, or in that range, their output will far exceed Yingdala's in a matter of five years."

International buyers will be affected as steel stocks will begin to go negative by January 4902 if this isn't nipped in the bud. Trade Minister Jie is expected to give further instructions on steel production as she fights to manage the market and relieve investors of their greatest fears. Hedge funds, mutual funds, and even retirement investment managers are considering pulling investment dollars out of steel. Others are beginning to short the industry as economic reports begin to come out.

Minister Jie's message of hope kept investors on the edge of their seats, but, the message was sidelined by the Chairman of the Bank of Indrala who stated that "if this continues, Yingdala will give out first as capital begins to dry out, causing unemployment to increase." We are heading to a likely recession here in steel.

(Tian'An) The National Executive Committee of the National Identity Party (NEC-NIP) can confirm that Hu Lushan has been reconfirmed as the party Secretary-General. Mr Hu has thanked his fellow party members for their support throughout this process and looks forward to leading the party in the coming general election. Additionally, Mr Hu has announced that the party will begin the process for candidate selections at the start of September 4902, interested personnel and parties are encouraged to contact the Candidate Selection Process Office for further information regarding registration.

Lastly Mr Hu has thanked morally concerned Indralians for petitioning the National Assembly to consider the Omnibus Matters Bill and Restoring National Dignity Bill.

Steel Production Stalls in Yingdala; Government to Reach Out to Kalistan
The Kalistan-Yingdala steel trade war has progressed further over the years, causing Yingdala to bow out first
A steel crisis that has loomed over Yingdala since early 4900 has begun to take a toll on the steel industry as Trade Minister Jie Kun Wu order an increase in production each year since the beginning. The Steel War Production Commission (SWPC), however, has announced that producing any more steel will collapse the Yingdalan steel market due to a lack of raw ore.

Since the order came from the Trade Minister, raw ore has become more expensive as demand increased. With the rapid increase in demand, the supply has become very limited as our ore exporters cannot keep up with the demand. As it stands now, Yingdalan production of steel has stalled as we wait for our importers to fulfill industry demands of raw ore. It is still unknown if Minister Jie was aware of this factor before issuing the order in February 4901, but many domestic steel producers are placing the blame on her.

Over the years, steel prices have fallen dramatically due to the flooding of the market. Steel has now become so cheap that companies will pay you to by it from them, of course, this is just figurative. However, the production of steel has increased. With the increase in the production of steel, more labor was needed, in addition to raw ore. Now, our leaders are scrambling to find a quick solution.

Government Response to the Stall of Steel Production

The recent reports from the Steel War Production Commission have indicated that steel production in the Grand Union has stalled. While this is only temporary, domestic steel producers will feel an enormous amount of decline as international orders from countries like Trigunia and others go unfulfilled for a short while. We ask our international partners to bear with us for a month and we will make up any losses tenfold at our expense.

There are many theories out there that our economy will collapse if this continues any longer. Those theories, more like conspiracies, are false and have no weight. Our economy is doing quite well, with the exception of the steel industry. No jobs were lost nor did our GDP take a hit. People are still living their normal lives. I can assure you that the Yingdalan people and our international partners have nothing to worry about.

As for this steel crisis, we are calling on the government of Kalistan to meet us at the table. We have one goal: to stabilize the international steel market, with a set price and set production levels. Not only Kalistan, we ask other steel producing nations to join us in our call for an international partnership that will prevent situations like this one to never happen again.

While the minister's press release calmed some nerves, some steel companies are asking the government for a 'bailout' for the lost revenue that they have assumed over the last few years. Leaders in the National Congress have refused to comment on the steel producer's request for a bailout, but the Chairman of the Bank of Indrala has called the idea thereof "irresponsible" and "a non-starter".

We now wait patiently for Kalistan to respond to Minister Jie's request to come to the table to end this crisis once and for all.

IMC Orders to Fully Staff the Midway Naval Base

In February 4891, the Minister of Defense, Li Heng Chin, announced that the IMC will build the construction of a naval base in Midway, the largest naval base in a foreign country. Liore condemned this action and further enacted action against the Yingdalan Empire. A little over a year later the base was fully constructed, however, the IMC hesitated to fill the capacity of the base. The base, as presented by Defense Minister Li, has a capacity of 150,000 troops, 130 aircraft, and 75 ships. Since the completion of the base, only 20,000 Yingdalan troops have been stationed at the naval base. Now, the IMC has ordered the base to be fully staffed.

Over the next five years, Yingdalan troops will be transported to its Midway base. By 4909, the base will have 150,000 troops, however, only 25 aircraft will be stationed there out of the 130 capacity, along with a fleet of 30 naval ships out of the 75 ship capacity. While the purpose of the base has been kept secret or coded, Defense Minister Li did announce that the production of new naval ships will commence at the base as soon as the steel crisis is over.
