MOBILISING FOR WAR ON MANY FRONTS - HULSTRIA STANDS ALONEReady for battle... elements of the 8th Armoured Brigade, part of the 1. Armoured Division, head through the streets of the capital Karstadt. Reichskanzler Leopold Nimitz has ordered the mobilisation of all Hulstrian regular and reserve units as his regime faces conflict from a host of enemies.
It means that within months up to half a million men will be ready for war on land, sea and air. The decision follows further condemnation by the international community over alleged acts of genocide carried out by the Nimitz government in its self-proclaimed protectorate of Ostland.
A resolution is expected soon in the Security Council which will give the green light to an invasion of Ostland and potentially Hulstria by a coalition force.
And it comes as Imperial forces continue to do battle with communist rebels in the south of the Crownlands and Septembrists who have seized key infrastructure in the mountainous north and east.
Nimitz, who is still trying to force through laws that will consolidate all power in his own hands, said it was now up to every patriotic Hulstrian to do his duty for the Empress and defend their sovereign territory.
He said: "We cannot give in to imperial tyrants such as the Istalians and Hutorians. Countrymen, we must fight for our very survival and as we all know when Hulstrian backs are to the wall we are at our best."
Military Analysis Ostland- At the moment, between 40,000 and 50,000 imperial troops are in Ostland protecting Imperial interests there, supported by the Reichs Luftwaffe.
- The elite 2. Armoured Division is dug in on the Ostland border with Kazulia, while two Greater Hulstrian divisions are deployed in the south and centre of the country along with around 20,000 allied Ostland troops.
- Two further fast moving divisions wait in reserve in southern Hulstria to be deployed if they are required.
Hulstria- In the fatherland, the 4th mechanised infantry are advancing on communist bases in the south east (20,000 troops); meanwhile, the 3rd Special Infantry Division supported by the 6th Greater Hulstrian (30,000 troops) have made contact with the Septembrist enemy in the north and east.
- Further regular divisions, including the 1. Armoured Division and several Greater Hulstrian Infantry units are now awaiting orders and deployment within the country along with the mobilising reserve units.
- The Reichsmarine main battle fleet, based at Brunningshaven, stands ready to commence naval operations against coalition forces, with the Air Defence frigate
Vendetta as the flagship.
- Herr Nimitz has also ordered the launch of Operation Human Shield, meaning all strategically important sites and army units will be protected by prisoners, typically Gao Showan or foreign criminals - to deter enemy attacks.
