NIMITZ TEARS INTO "WEAK-WILLED" SECURITY COUNCIL AS HE PAINTS POSITIVE OUTLOOK FOR HULSTRIAAll smiles - and all-powerful. A confident Reichskanzler, Leopold Nimitz, addresses the nation. Reichskanzler Leopold Nimitz has "laughed in the face" of the international community during an address to the nation on state TV.
Speaking as he updated citizens on the move to a full-blown war economy in the Crownlands, he said the "weak-willed" Security Council seemed directionless and schizophrenic and that it continually threatened conflict and then backed off at the last minute.
He made it clear that sanctions were not working as goods were being shipped in through neutral Sekowo and via the Midway canal into Ostland and Hulstria and that is plan to put millions of Class C citizens into unpaid farm labour programmes was now up and running.
He said in his address: "People of Hulstria I laugh at the pathetic weak-willed nations that make up the Security Council - from the all mouth but no trousers Istalians to the impotent Hutorians, full of hubris, who seem to be living on military glories of centuries past.
"We have now mobilised half a million men - who are in the field dug in to defend our land borders and our coastline. Yet no attack comes. Why? Because the Security Council is as ineffective in its decision making as it is powerless to execute its proposals.
"The Council knows there are many nations with close ties to our royal family and any attempt to start a conflict will lead to a global war of incomprehensible proportions. So while we wait to blunt their assaults with patriotic relish, we probably wait in vain because it will never come."
Herr Nimitz, who after a recent constitutional amendment has now dissolved the legislature and governs by decree, added: "Millions of Class C citizens, aged 16 to 40, have now been placed into farm labour programmes. The agricultural harvest this year will be the greatest bounty ever and will sustain our armed forces for the months ahead. It shows what we can do when all loyal citizens work together."
The Chancellor also condemned Drania and Malivia for recognising the so-called United Imperial Crownlands government set up by the Septembrists and also confirmed he was sending a third newly formed division to launch an assault on their strongholds in the north east of the country.
Herr Nimitz said: "Let me be very clear: we will never succumb to their warped idea of history and the bastardised Gao-Showan languages and cultures that they wish to foist on us. The idea that our capital Karstadt could be anything different is preposterous."
He also said that the communist threat in the south and east of the country was now contained and that the people's army would soon be defeated completely.
He added: "Once again we have fended off unjustified assaults on our way of life from many quarters and not only survived but are ready to flourish again. People of Hulstria we are unstoppable!"
