All Septembrist RBW airmen captured over Hulstrian territory are to be hanged immediately as an example to would-be rebels.

The new proclamation was made by Reichskanzler and Supreme Military Commander Leopold Nimitz who made his first appearance at the Reichstag in months to reassure the controlling Hulstrian Party members that the war was most certainly heading in the right direction.

Nimitz said that Septembrist armed forces personnel should not be granted the same rights as other coalition prisoners of war, as they were not recognised as anything more than terrorists and their leaders accused of high treason.

With a vigour that demonstrated the Reichskanzler has fully recovered from his recent malady, he declared: "They will be hanged in prominent positions around the towns and communities near to where they were captured. They will remain there until their flesh falls off their bones."

He also told party members: "Our defences are good, our resolve undiminished and I will not surrender. Our generals are currently working on strategies that will force the enemy from our country and restore order to Ostland. At that point we will negotiate a cease fire."

IMPERIAL TROOPS BEGIN WITHDRAWAL TO DEFEND THE HULSTRIAN CAPITAL

Hulstrian troops in their tens of thousands have reportedly started to fall back from their defensive perimeter following a massive land and aerial bombardment by coalition forces.

Many units, particularly in the north are also believed to have unilaterally surrendered to the enemy after coming under heavy fire as part of the Allies' multi-faceted Operation Pegasus.

With the northern fortifications of the Heinrich Line compromised, forces on the western and eastern flanks of the perimeter ring have also felt their own positions come under threat of envelopment, precipitating a general fall back to a third and final defence around the capital Karstadt.

Many of those falling back, particularly in the north are expected to encounter stiff resistance in the form of both Septembrist insurgents and coalition paratroopers who were dropped behind the lines to secure bridges, overrun communities and dig in.

It is not known, therefore, how many Imperial Crownlands soldiers will be in a position to defend the capital when the final Coalition push comes.

With the Reichskanzler still absent from public duty, Minister of War General Reinhard von Thaller called on every man, woman and child to be ready to defend the heartland of the nation.

He said: "We must show this cruel and unrelenting enemy that Hulstria will not give in to the tyranny we face. If we must go down we will go down bravely. I therefore call on every patriotic person to take up arms and be prepared to defend their home. If the enemy wants total war they we must be prepared to fight fire with fire.

Karstadt's defences have been long in the preparation. A perimeter fortification around the city, using all natural terrain, similar in scope to the northern reaches of he Heinrich Line has been developed. It is manned constantly by a mixture of regular and newly conscripted troops. Among the most seasoned campaigners are the 1. Armoured Division, the pride and joy of the Hulstrian army.

IMPERIAL GOVERNMENT SET FOR UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER


Foreign Minister Albrecht Kohl - not prepared to accept further bloodshed.

Hulstrian Foreign Minister Albrecht Kohl has told party members he is ready to accept unconditional surrender terms rather than see his country suffer further bloodshed.

Every man, woman and child had been put on high alert and ordered to fight alongside Crownlands armed forces in defence of the capital, Karstadt. It meant hundreds of thousands of lives were at risk if the battle went ahead.

But after an unexpected turn of events in which Reichskanzler Leopold Nimitz fell into a coma - following what is officially being called a seizure - the Party decided to step back from its ruthless total war policy.

Herr Kohl, called a vote with the question being: should we now accept unconditional surrender terms. The vast majority of the Party's 75 senior members - the only people eligible to vote under the current regime - said yes.

The Foreign Minister said he would immediately begin opening communication channels with the allies to co-ordinate a cease fire and surrender. It is not known what will happen to the Herr Nimitz, senior party members and the Royal family of House Lasburg but the surrender will bring to an end 70 years of totalitarian regime in the Crownlands.

It is expected the Coalition will endorse the Provisional Government of the United Imperial Crownlands and that a multi-ethnic democracy will soon be installed throughout the nation.
