EDIT: Post under revision after deactivation of Labour Party. With agreement of the other player, it will be RPed that the HDV won another majority.

HDV reclaims plurality as expected

Image
While Staatsminister Heumayr (second from the left) was waiting for the count in his Wahlkreis of Heuboden West-Oberflachland, the HDV appeared satisfied with its results

Kien, Hulstria - The HDV has met expectations by defying a strong opposition upsurge and winning a plurality of the seats in the Imperial Diet for the third time running in what was a very competitive election night. With a contingent of 233 MdRs in the new Diet, the HDV yet again has emerged the strongest political party. However, compared to last election, the party experienced a large vote shift that led to a large loss of seats and it failed to re-elected its nominee Lothar von Geraniengau zu Hortensiengau to the Governor-General's office. Nevertheless, Staatsminister and HDV Leader Clemens Heumayr claimed the result as a victory for the HDV, congratulating his opponents and saying he "would not have the election any other way than competitive."

Nobody was expecting the HDV to be able to maintain its majority against the opposition, which gained strength as the campaign continued. Not even, as many at HDV Central Office at Herzog von Anderinch House in central Kien, the Hosian Democrats themselves. The loss of the Governor-General race seems to have raised some eyebrows, but its general character as an above-parties elder statesman office is such that the plurality in the Diet was the result that counted for the Hosian Democrats. The outgoing Governor-General, Viscount von Geraniengau zu Hortensiengau, was gracious and even a little self-effacing in defeat: "You know, I enjoyed it. If it's time for someone else, it's time for someone else. I can leave the official residence and retire to Haus zu Geraniengau."

Heumayr himself said he fully accepted the task of a coalition, claiming it was the natural way of things in Hulstria and Gao-Soto: "Our land of two peoples is at its best united and free. It's best work is united, working together, building bridges between all sorts of views. We have always become the stronger for it, and I am looking forward to working with others to keep the Crownlander Phoenix bright and blazing!" It is rumoured that the hint at continuity will see the Hosian Democrats working with the Progressive Party first: the new party is decidedly more economically liberal than the Labour Party and would allow the popular Finance Minister, Severin Goddestreu, to continue his economic plans. Bürggraf Goddestreu himself is rumoured to be in the wings to take over the Staatsministerium from Heumayr, who would then become the party's Klubobmann.

Crownlands to prepare for "monumental" celebration of 1000 years of Septembrism
February 4414

Kien, Hulstria - In a joint announcement with the National Committee for the 15th of September and the Septembrist Movement, the Government of the United Imperial Crownlands has outlined big plans to celebrate the upcoming millennial jubilee of the September Revolution in 4416. While the 1000-year history of the 15th of September Massacre which started the 15th of September Movement was commemorated solemnly in 4411, when September Day marked its millennium, the Committee announced that 4416 would celebrate 1000 years since its success with the familiar combination of commemorating the sacrifices and the victims of dictatorship and oppression, celebrating liberty, democracy and tolerance and educating on the need to defend them, but on a much grander scale. Staatsminister Clemens Heumayr confirmed that the government would facilitate a year of special events in honour of the millennial, culminating around a festive week leading up to September Day itself. The government also confirmed its intention to amend the National Holidays Act to declare the 15th of September a national holiday every year, rather than the current arrangement where celebrations only take a full day in jubilee years. "The 15th of September represents the rebirth of the Crownlander nation, forged together in our common struggle for peace, freedom and democracy. It is our primary national holiday and it should be celebrated every year so that we do not forget what we have fought for and what is ours to enjoy."

The preparatory documents released by the National Committee for the 15th of September, which is responsible for organising the September Day festivities, outline the kind of events and observances being prepared. Apart from the usual elements - September Day festivals, commemoration at 8pm on the 14th of September, the freedom fire relay -, an expansive programme is being developed. Among others, plans are being made in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence to hold a parade consisting of the RBW and representatives of the Armed Forces that helped free the Crownlands from the NDU and Nimitz regimes. A huge celebration of the Crownlands' vibrant melting-pot culture is being planned in Syakusen-Graaffsberg with the cooperation of companies such as Tenkoun. In the week leading up to September Day 4416, the Miyako Symphonic Society and the Kiener Philharmoniker, the two major symphony orchestras in the nation which normally alternate the traditional 15th of September Concert, will join forces for a large concert tour with a special oratorio being composed by a famous composer to commemorate the 15th of September.

Civil society initiatives are also being sponsored. The Ministry of Education and Culture announced that it had used its powers to give a grant to the producers of the upcoming musical Sutigu desu Fenikusu (Rise of the Phoenix), after the popular title of the memoirs of Viktor "Kleinemann" Gubler, the hero of the Second September Revolution. The musical, according to a producer, would track Kleinemann's origins from his student days at Heinrich University, where he witnessed the expulsion of mixed-race friends and decided to resist, to his prominent role in the RBW, culminating in a scene where a real plane from Operation Amatubime lands in Kien bearing both Emperors and the Governor-General, signifying freedom. The musical ends, according to early drafts shown to the Chronicle, on a moralising tone, seeking to ask the question of the audience whether they would make the same sacrifices Gubler made - as it turns out that of his entire group of friends, the only person remaining was one who remained passive and with whom he can no longer connect.

In preparation for the celebrations of the millennial, The Chronicle will team up with the Prof. Dr. Thomas Michels Stiftung to produce a series of think-pieces and articles on the September Revolution, its heritage, its prominent figures and Septembrism itself, evaluating what they mean for our national history.

Otto IV announces intention to abdicate due to advanced age
February 4415

Image
Archduke Friedrich, the Kaiser's eldest son, has been ready for some time to take the throne, says Fliederbrunn Palace

Fliederbrunn Palace, Hulstria - In an unusual step for his family, the Hulstrian Kaiser Otto IV has announced his wish to abdicate the throne of Hulstria to his son. The Emperor, who was 63 when he acceded the throne in 4407, says his advanced age and increasing bodily frailty would make it better for a younger man to hold the throne. Indeed, the Emperor has been represented increasingly at Imperial functions by his co-monarch Emperor Yoshinaga, who in his late 30s is a much younger man, and by his eldest son, Archduke Friedrich, who after his father's abdication would become Friedrich II of Hulstria.

Below is reprinted the address by the Kaiser to the citizens in which he announced his intention to abdicate:
Dearest citizens of Hulstria and Gao-Soto, good evening.

It is with great gratitude that I approach my decennial as Kaiser of Hulstria. When my country called on me to resume the dignity of my ancestors, respecting the will of the people, I accepted without reservation. Since then, I have been continuously warmed and strengthened by the strong loyalty between my family and the peoples of both Hulstria and Gao-Soto, which has been formed not out of God's grace alone, but out of the many tribulations we have faced together in our history. It is these challenges - the challenges faced by my grandfather Otto III just over 100 years ago, the challenges of reconstruction now - that have brought us closer together. As your Kaiser, I have been privileged to contribute my fair share to the common project that has been Hulstria and Gao-Soto, together with my energetic and young friend, Mikado Yoshinaga.

The last few years, I have been increasingly unable to go out amongst you for reasons of my advanced age. I count myself lucky that my son, Archduke Friedrich, and my brother monarch, Mikado Yoshinaga, have been there to assist me in the discharge of the Imperial duties. Yet with all the experiences that are yet to come to our nation as we, resurgent, commemorate 1000 years since the September Revolution next year, I have become aware that you need the energy of a younger man on the throne. My son, Archduke Friedrich, is fully prepared to be the monarch Hulstria needs as it commemorates its history and looks forward to its future. I have therefore communicated to the Staatsministerium my wish to abdicate the throne of Hulstria to my son, and will do so once the requisite Act of Abdication can be offered to the Diet and passed.

Though I retire from my Imperial duties with this abdication, it does not diminish my love for and faith in the Hulstrian people, whom I have got to know well over the past years. I shall endeavour to be among you whenever my strength allows, to continue the work that has been my life: this people which has been entrusted to me, and the nation is is an inseparable part of. I hope to meet many of you when I do so, that this speech may not be a farewell, but rather an Auf wiedersehen to you all.

I thank you all for the years I have been privileged to be your monarch. I pray that God may long continue to give His indispensable blessing to you, your families and to our United Imperial Crownlands of Hulstria and Gao-Soto.

The Staatsministerium confirmed they had received the Emperor's request for an Act of Abdication to be offered to the Diet, and said one would be offered as soon as possible. "The House of Rothingren-Traugott-Okatori is the image of a modern monarchy that cherishes its bonds with its people and its constitutional duties," said Heumayr. "Though we are sad to say goodbye to His Imperial and Most Illustrous Luthoran Majesty, we understand the reasons why he made his decision, and respect them. We owe it to him for the spirit with which he took up his throne at high age to grant him, now age has caught up with him, the faculty to rest from his duties, knowing that Hulstria will be in the capable hands of his son."

Kaiser Friedrich II crowned at Kien
October 4415

Image
His Imperial and Most Illustrous Luthoran Majesty, Friedrich II, in military uniform, observing a RBW parade

Kien, Hulstria With magnificent ceremony at Kien's National Cathedral today, Friedrich II von Rothingren-Traugott-Okatori was crowned Kaiser of Hulstria today in the presence of the members of the Imperial Assembly, the members of the Imperial House of Kurosawa, the Governor-General, the clergy of the Luthoran Church, his father Kaiser Otto IV, foreign dignitaries and citizens from across the Crownlands. On the morning of the coronation, Kaiser Otto IV signed the Act of Abdication which had been passed by the Imperial Diet, at which point the Crown descended on his son. In itself, this was a historic occasion: it is a rare event for a Rothingren-Traugott monarch to abdicate the throne to his heir.

The ceremony began after a grand procession by the new Kaiser and his wife, Empress Laurentine, from Fliederbrunn Palace to the Cathedral, where an honour guard led by RBW Commandant General Christoph Ernst was ready for inspection. After being saluted, General Ernst would proceed into the Cathedral to command the opening of the doors, being the sole bearer of arms to escort His Imperial and Most Illustrous Luthoran Majesty in. Kneeling before the altar as the magnificent Coronation Hymn by composer Theophilus Hubertus Rainard was performed by the choir of the National Cathedral, he was then asked to take the oaths required of him, which were as follows and similar to the oaths sworn by the Luthori Emperor.

The Archbishop of Kien: Will you solemnly promise and swear to govern the Peoples of the Empire of Hulstria, consisting of your Crownlands of Hulstria, Budenlar and Kuratha, and of your Possessions and other Territories to any of them belonging or pertaining, according to their respective laws and customs?

The Kaiser: With the Help of God Almighty, I so do swear.

The Archbishop of Kien: Will you to your power cause Law and Justice, in Mercy, to be executed in all your judgments?

The Kaiser: "With the Help of God Almighty, I will."

The Archbishop of Kien: Will you to the utmost of your power maintain the Laws of God and the true word and life of the Annunciation? Will you to the utmost of your power maintain in the United Kingdom the Confessional and Apostolic Faith established by law? Will you maintain and preserve inviolable the settlement of the Church in Hulstria and Gao-Soto, and the doctrine, worship, discipline, and government thereof, as by law established in Hulstria and Gao-Soto? And will you preserve unto the Bishops and Clergy of Hulstria and Gao-Soto, and to the Churches there committed to their charge, all such rights and privileges, as by law do or shall appertain to them or any of them?

The Kaiser: With the Help of God Almighty, I will. I so do swear, so help me Almighty God.

The Governor-General: Your Imperial and Most Illustrous Luthoran Majesty - do you swear that you shall, to all the people of the United Imperial Crownlands, be ever an honourable and just ruler; that you shall uphold, protect and champion the Basic Law of the United Imperial Crownlands, its unity, sovereignty and democracy; that you shall uphold the crown of your brother Emperor, Yoshinaga of Gao-Soto, and of his heirs and descendants according to the law; and that you shall exercise your Imperial power and personal efforts for the benefit of all citizens of the United Imperial Crownlands, Hulstrian and Gao-Showan, in their national interest?

The Kaiser: With the Help of God Almighty, I so do swear.

The Emperor then proceeded behind a screen to be anointed by the Archbishop of Kien and Primate of Greater Hulstria, Remigius von Hortensiengau. When he emerged, he was greeted with a Hulstrian adaptation of the Imperial Lauds, traditionally also in a setting by Rainard, the ancient hymn also used in the coronation of the Augustan Emperors:

Hosios, erhöre uns / Hoch Leb' unser Herr, vom Gottes Gnaden Haupt der Kirche (Hear us, O Hosios / Long life to our lord, by God's Grace Head of the Church)
Hosios, erhöre uns / Hosios, erhöre uns (Hear us, O Hosios / Hear us, O Hosios)
Retter der Welt / Du allein bist unser Hilfe (Saviour of the World / You alone are our help)
Hosios, erhöre uns / Hoch Leb' unser Herr, dem Gottesgekronten August, der grösse, rechtfertigen Kaiser! (Hear us, O Hosios / Long life to our lord, the God-crowned August, the great, just Emperor!)
Sara, Heilige Magd / Bete für uns (3x) (Sarah, Holy Virgin / Pray for us)
Hosios, erhöre uns / Hoch Leb' des Kaisers Kinder (Hear us, O Hosios / Long life to our Kaiser's children)
Heiliger Apostel Michael Vigilius / Bete für uns (3x) (Holy Apostle Michael Vigilius / Pray for us)
Hosios, erhöre uns / Bewahre doch des Kaisers Reich! (Hear us, O Hosios / Protect thou the Emperor's Realm!)
Heiliger, Mächtiger Gott / Erhöre uns! (3x) (Holy, Mighty God / Hear us!)
Hosios siegt, Hosios regiert, Hosios herrscht / Hosios siegt, Hosios regiert, Hosios herrscht (2 x) (Hosios conquers, Hosios reigns, Hosios commands)
König der Königen, Hosios siegt, Hosios regiert / König der Könige, Hosios siegt, Hosios regiert. (King of Kings, Hosios conquers, Hosios reigns)
Ihn allein sei Ehre / König der Königen, Unser'n Gott und Herr (Him alone be glory / King of Kings, our Lord and God)
Ihn allein sei Kraft / König der Königen, Unser'n Gott und Herr (Him alone be power / King of Kings, our Lord and God)
Ihn allein sei das Reich / König der Königen, Unser'n Gott und Herr (Him alone be the Kingdom / King of Kings, our Lord and God)
So war es immer / Alleluia. (As it has been forever / Alleluia)
So ist es heute / Alleluia. (As it is now / Alleluia)
So sei es immer / Alleluia. (As it ever shall be / Alleluia)
Alleluia, Alleluia / Amen. (Alleluia, Alleluia / Amen)
Alleluia, Alleluia / Amen. (Alleluia, Alleluia / Amen)

After the conclusion of the Lauds, the Emperor would be seated on the throne, after which he would receive the Imperial regalia from the Archbishops of Kien and Labsburg and the Bishop of Anderinch, each with a corresponding prayer. The Emperor would then be crowned with the Hulstrian Imperial Crown, after which the Governor-General would proclaim three times: "Gott' erhalt den Kaiser!" After a ceremonial reception of homage from nobles, government officials and citizens, the Emperor then receded from the Cathedral while the Hulstrian Imperial Anthem For the Monarchy was played.

As the RBW brought a gun salute from the Imperial Diet Complex to the newly-crowned Emperor, the Emperor proceeded back in his carriage to Fliederbrunn, where a magnificent banquet was hosted in his honour with all who attended the coronation in attendance. Before mounting the open-top carriage, the Emperor invited Emperor Yoshinaga, his wife and Crown Princess Kinuye to ride with him, Empress Laurentine, and his heir, Archduchess Franziska, much to the delight of the crowds. The way was lined with thousands of Crownlander citizens, both from Hulstria and Gao-Soto, enthusiastically singing the national anthem, Land of Our Fathers.

Kaiser not amused after tabloids report Coronation banquet dalliance between Archduchess Rosalinde and Hutori Crown Prince

Image
The otherwise pleasant interview with Kaiser Friedrich II and his wife Empress Laurentine took a bit of an unpleasant turn when the reporter asked the Kaiser about his younger daughter's love life

Kien, Hulstria - At a scheduled interview in honour of the Coronation, the Kaiser has voiced his displeasure when confrontend with tabloid reports that something might be growing between his younger daughter, Archduchess Rosalinde, and Crown Prince William of Steuart-Carmichael. The Kaiser, who during his time as heir to the throne was already known to be very protective of his children's privacy, refused to comment and rather passionately asked the reporter to "please leave my children alone. I had the privilege of growing up as the heir to the Prince of Rothingren-Traugott and I wish that quiet childhood on my children, as I am sure we all wish it for our children. After all, they didn't follow my daughter Franziska around all night either." The reporter, though a bit taken aback by this frank outburst, chose not to press the Imperial couple further and admitted there might've been something to that.

The reports in question, made in the Hulstrian tabloid Die Krone, recounted the story of how the heir to the throne of the Imperial Commonwealth realms had spent the entire night talking to Archduchess Rosalinde, the 19-year old younger daughter of the Kaiser who is currently in her second year of her studies of Psychology at Heinrich University. They even speculated that the Archduchess's father may have had a hand in it, quoting anonymous sources that he had taken personal care of the table settings so that the two young royals would share a table. After the dance, at which William and Rosalinde danced at length, the two were lost for a while. All this appeared in an article under the headline WILL TWO BRANCHES FINALLY UNITE? ARCHDUCHESS ROSALINDE IN HUTORI ROMANCE. Fliederbrunn Palace denied any comment save for the Emperor's comments, but said they were reviewing whether Die Krone had violated the privacy agreements the Imperial House makes with most of the major press. If that is deemed to be the case, reporters from the news outlet may be denied access to further Imperial photo-ops.

The Staatsminister, who was asked to render account of the incident in the Diet, said he understood and respected the Emperor's concerns. "Archduchess Rosalinde may be of Imperial blood but she is a young woman coming into her own and we must respect her privacy as she does that. I will see about the requisite approval for any marriage when there is a marriage to speak of. Let's give her and the Kaiser the time."

Senior Kunihito minister slams Ostland: "If you want to show leadership, end neo-colonialism and return land to Kunihito"
October 4415

Image
Vize-Staatsminister Karolu Mori, the senior Kunihito minister, has spoken for the government on Kunihito issues numerous times

Miyako, Hilgar - Following a planned visit to the Hilgar Crownland Government in Miyako, Vize-Staatsminister Karolu Mori, the senior Kunihito minister in the Crownlander government, has responded to comments made by Ostland's new Grand Duke by slamming the Crownlands' former sixth Crownland for its segregationist policy of settling Dundorfian settlers in predominantly Kunihito areas of the Kunihito-majority Eastern neighbour of Hulstria and Gao-Soto. "Not to kick up too much of a fuss," said the otherwise cerebral Kunihito minister, "but I refuse to accept any sort of leadership from a state that talks about my people, legitimate inhabitants of North Dovani, as "the Kunihito problem". If Ostland wants to show leadership, let them start by ending their neo-colonialist policy of forcing Kunihito off their lands and replacing them with Dundorfian immigrants, some of which have roots halfway across the world."

Mori said that until the Ostlander Government ended apartheid, restored the usurped suffrage to the Kunihito and returned the lands stolen from them as a result of the settlement policy to them, Ostlander officials would not be welcome in the Crownlands, especially not for continent-wide events like the Dovani Economic Forum. He further said that the Crownlands would "consider it their duty to promote a similar attitude among the fellow nations of Dovani. This kind of supremacist colonizing attitude went out of style on our continent more than a century ago." Although he refused to speak of sanctions, he also did not entirely rule them out when pressed but warned that "if they think they can hound our Kunihito brothers out of their native land and dump them with us, they can rest assured that we will not stand for such injustice."

The Foreign Ministry, in more diplomatic terms, said the government was behind Mori's remarks.

Mori: "Ostlander Dundorfian revisionism is an affront to both Hulstrians and Kunihito"
August 4416

Image
Mori, a historian, has taken umbrage at Ostland's attempt to whitewash their resettlement policies with spurious claims of "historic Hulstrian ownership"

Miyako, Hilgar - Crownlander Government officials and Kunihito citizens have reacted furiously to recent comments made by the pro-Dundorfian government of Ostland to the effect that their resettlement of Kunihito citizens was legitimate and based on historical evidence. Just ahead of the celebration of the millennial of the September Revolution of 3416, large crowds have taken to the street across the Crownlands in protest of the treatment of Kunihito by the Ostlander government. Vize-Staatsminister Karolu Mori, the senior Kunihito minister in the Crownlander government and the government's spokesman in most issues on Kunihito affairs, spoke to one of these demonstrations in the historical Gao-Showan capital of Miyako, asserting that Ostland has gone too far. "This Dundorfian revisionism they are pushing is not just an affront to Kunihito, but to Hulstrians as well."

Mori showed himself particularly indignant about the dismissive way in which the Ostlander Government sought to provide their actions with a veneer of legitimacy:
You know I am a historian. I've studied these things. Even a first-year student knows that Ostland was of no interest to Hulstria whatsoever until the third millennium. It is absolutely absurd to claim that such large amounts of land were owned by Hulstrians, right in the middle of an area that has historically been part of the Empire of Gao-Soto. If having a history of being under the Kaiser is enough to make the land owned by Hulstrians, then the very ground on which we stand belongs to Kaiser Friedrich himself by that logic. A thousand years ago, we learned a better way. This land of two peoples, united and free, belongs to all of us.

Let me dispel one notion for you: the home of these Kunihito is not here in Hulstria and Gao-Soto, though we will provide them with the home they are being cruelly denied there. Their home, their roots, the kami of their forefathers, are all in Ostland. They may become Crownlanders by necessity and we welcome them as lost fellow citizens, but in their hearts, I am absolutely certain that many of them still yearn for their lost homes in the Great North Dovani Plain. Coming to Hulstria and Gao-Soto, for them, is not a "return"; it is banishment.

Our Kunihito brethren in Ostland aren't asking for full control or for the deportation of Hulstrians - they are asking for their right to share equally in their homeland and its future. So long as the Dundorfian supremacist government of Ostland continues to deny them this, they are not entitled to leadership in the future of the peoples of this continent. And the Government of the United Imperial Crownlands, the protector of our proud Septembrist heritage, of the nation forged 1000 years ago from those two peoples, may be the one taking the lead, but let me tell them: we are not alone in this.

If they will not heed our words, then we shall act. The government of Ostland is no longer welcome on our territory, and we shall be imposing full economic sanctions. We refuse to trade with a nation that oppresses its own people on the basis of race and makes them persona non grata in their own land until they 'freely' decide to turn to Hulstria and Gao-Soto for aid. We shall seek the aid of the World Congress in defending universal human rights and liberties. And I call upon all the nations of Dovani to do the same thing and stand together in a strong statement: that this entire continent belongs to all of us, both native and settler, and that colonization should stay in the 17th century where it belongs.

God Save the Emperor! Mikadoheika Banzai! Long live this land of two peoples, united and free!

If any diplomatic courtesy still existed between the Crownlander Government and Ostland, it has now completely broken down. Speaking at a press conference in Kien, Staatsminister Clemens Heumayr expressed full support for "every single word" spoken by his deputy. He confirmed that he would be bringing a bill to impose sanctions on Ostland to the Diet, and expressed his satisfaction that Dankuk had already passed a similar bill to sanction the Ostlanders. "We'll show them that Dovani does not want anything to do with their 'leadership'. I pray to God we don't need to go further than this."

Mori sworn in as Governor-General, calls for Crownlands to stay strong to defend Septembrist principles
June 4421

Image
Governor-General Mori delivering his inauguration address

Kien, Hulstria - In a departure from the traditionally apolitical nature of such speeches, the newly-inaugurated Governor-General Karolu Mori has used his first address as the official representative of the Crowns of Hulstria and Gao-Soto to issue a strong call to defend Septembrist principles. In particular, the former Vize-Staatsminister called for the Crownlands to persevere in their sanctions against Ostland, which recently introduced a package of reforms of which he remained strongly critical. "The passage of policies in Ostland that retain a distinct resemblance to the darkest days between Hulstrians and Kunihito in the Crownlands remind us that what we share here in Hulstria and Gao-Soto is not self-evident. This idea that Kunihito are better off living in their own place instead of as equal partners and neighbours among their Hulstrian brothers and sisters, with an equal stake in the nation, is a backwards echo of apartheid. We put this behind us a millennium ago. It is our duty of example to all of Dovani that we remain strong alongside our neighbours in defence of those principles and a continent that belongs to all of us."

Observers are not surprised at Mori's departure from tradition. For one, Mori is known to be fiercely critical of the Ostland government's policies towards their Kunihito citizens. More importantly, however, opinion polls show that the deeply Septembrist Crownlands are generally behind the sanctions imposed on Ostland. As such, the Governor-General could have been said to have expressed a broadly bi-partisan opinion and he is unlikely to trouble the government or the Diet with it. Foreign Minister Hupold Michels confirmed this: "The Governor-General chooses his own words in keeping with his constitutional role. The government is fully committed to maintaining our support of Septembrist principles in Ostland and we are grateful for the support we have received from like-minded nations in Dovani and beyond."
