TREASONOUS CLASS C CITIZENS TO BE EXECUTED IN PUBLIC
- 1,000 deaths by hanging will set an example, says the Heerführer
- Istalian agents also to be executed in unprecedented purge
Class C citizens continue to protest bringing them into conflict with Hulstrian police forces.
One thousand people of Gao Showa origin are to be publicly executed after being found guilty of working with the Kingdom of Kazulia during the recent conflict.
The Class C citizens, mostly of Kunhito descent, have been sentenced to death for seditious and treasonous behaviour towards the Queen and the Imperial Crownlands. They were being held along with their families in labour camps.
The ruling Military Council has now said their death by hanging in public would set an example to those who would contemplate "conspiring with enemies".
Also being executed in public are two foreign nationals, believed to be spies from the Republic of Istalia. They were arrested several months ago by counter-intelligence officers from the nation's Reichs Security Bureau (RIB) and, after signing written confessions, have been formally sentenced.
The news of the executions was announced as Heerführer General Manfried von Lapsburg revealed Hulstria was set to put pen to paper to sign a treaty with Saridan. The aim is to work with the southern-Seleyan nation - along with ally Beiteynu - to promote an anti-globalist safeguard against Istalian imperialism. The regime has also taken further steps to reduce what it calls Gao-Showan influence on the nation and promote Hulstrian culture and ethnicity above all.
General von Lapsburg said: "With an unsteady ceasefire in place with Kazulia security must be paramount. These public executions are unprecedented but are necessary to demonstrate to Class C citizens that their attempts to defy our laws will be stamped out.
"As for the Istalians agents, we have interrogated them over several months and all useful information has now been extracted. We have put in an official protest to the Istalian ambassador at the World Congress and after being met with contempt have decided to take this action."
General von Lapsburg also announced that as many as a quarter of a million troops were now in the vicinity of the Heinrich Line and objectives further north had been identified. He said: "We want peace but if peace is not forthcoming we must be prepared to take back what is ours by blood right."
