After a major scandal rocked the Kien Stock Exchange, which saw several bankers accused of Stock Price Manipulation, the government has passed a law regulating the stock market.

The law, called the ‘Stock Market Access and Regulation (SMAR) Act of 4701’, prohibits several previously legal acts and has harsh punishments laid out for violating said now illegal acts. This comes after reports of stock price manipulation led to several raids on four accounting firms in Kien, which did uncover stock price manipulation.

To prevent his issue from ever arising again, the Imperial Diet composed and passed the SMAR Act which prohibits numerous acts that could possibly harm or influence the financial and stock market.

According to the Ministry of Finance, that SMAR Act will:

Citizens' Coalition forms the Provisional Emergency Committee!
The new Septembrist party seeks to create a wide expanding Union of all the Crownlands

After many years without an effective and functioning government, the Citizens' Coalition of the Septembrist Renewal of Hulstria has set up a Provisional Emergency Committee, which was legitimized through the snap-election recently held. The President of the PEC and Chairman of the Citizens' Council of the Citizens' Coalition, Gerwald Staebler had quickly begun to work on a draft which has now been sent to the Hulstrian Assembly to be accepted, this draft is the Declaration of the Septembrist Union of the Citizens' Crownlands which seeks to radically reform the system of Hulstria to the nation of the Septembrist Union of the Citizens' Crownlands which has been described by Hulstrian officials as a system of protection of the democracy which guides the citizens of Hulstria.

In the wake of the elections of January 4725, which was called as an early means by the Citizens' Party to further legitimize their hold on power, the party has been accused of legitimizing and consolidating more power to Kien and its central authority, by wasting money and resources on the apparent Constitution of the Union, which has been a work in progress for more than 4 years now and that they are now working on instead a constitution on which the Citizens' Party would be the only political authority in the nation. These allegations have been harshly dismissed by the offices of both the President and the Premier.

Further more, the Premier, Frank Heilbronner is continuing to fall in the polls while President Staebler is still rising without any issues. Experts and political commentators have explained that Premier Heilbronner's low opinion is due to his mistake of continuing having the ministers from the Provisional Emergency Committee (PEC), which was an all Hulstrian government under Gerwald Staebler as its Provisional President (Head of State and Head of Government). So even with the current Heilbronner Cabinet II, which encompasses both Hulstrian and Kunihitos, Premier Heilbronner is still known as a pro-Hulstrian which has hurt him extremely much in the polls from both people of Hulstrians and Kunihitos. This has made Premier Heilbronner unexpectedly announce that he will resign as Premier of the Union after the next election in 4731. This has made the question of his successor arise, speculations are that the Minister of Defense and previously Minister of Internal Affairs, Marc Rohrmann is to take up the mantle of Premier, however, Rohrmann has a major and popular rival who is none other than the current Minister of Internal Affairs, Secretary-General of the Citizens' Party and the First Lady of the September Union, Naru Asami (Staebler), of Kunihito heritage, who since 4714 is married to current President Gerwald Staebler. Her high political position has been accused of nepotism but has been shrugged away as nonsense, because of her own major political experiences as Secretary-General of the party as well as her position as Minister of Internal Affairs. Many citizens have said that it would be a good thing to mix the Premiers between Hulstrians and Kunihitos now and then. The future of the September Union for now looks better than ever.

As the media have reported that so far the monument hasn't received any criticism at all but instead praise from people all over the country. The President himself have commented that he is very honored but that it wasn't really necessary in the first place, but that he still very grateful. Many political commentators have stated that we could see more of this coming the more the President's popularity increases, as he is now up in 93% in the recent polls. Other political commentators have also stated that this could be the beginning of a larger to come cult of personality with statues and more larger portraits and perhaps even the renaming of cities. Such statements have mostly been laughed away with the comeback that Staebler himself have stopped many motions in the Congress of Honorable Citizens proposing to rename cities and even one Crownland after him.

Government reaches new oil deal with the Hamilton Company
Minister of Trade and Industry, Irma Denzel have led the negotiations around the deal which will result in 7 new oil wells in the western part of the country

After swift negotiations with the CEO of the Hamilton Company John Hamilton, Irma Denzel was able to close the deal with them resulting in 7 new oil wells to be constructed in the Crownlands of Budenlar and Kuratha. The deal states that the September Union shall receive 20% of the oil drilled. The total cost of the construction of these drills including safety costs will amount up to 41.3 million HCR, however, the government has offered to subsidize 17%, which will lower the total cost for the Hamilton Company to around 34.2 million HCR. The Hamilton Company has also promised to stand for 70% of the hiring of Hulstrians in the work force. The number of oil the government will receive annually will be over 8,000 oil barrels. 4 of the wells will be constructed in Budenlar and 3 in Kuratha, and it has been reported that they are to begin construction as soon as possible. Minister Irma Denzel has commented:

Mr John Hamilton approached us with this project and looking at it then I could only see opportunities, 70% of the work force will be Hulstrians, this is an excellent opportunity to lower unemployment in the country. Of course, after speaking a bit with Mr Hamilton, I went straight to the Premier and told him about this project which he fully supported. And of course because of the importance of our presidency, the Premier told me that he had spoken to the President about it as well and that President Staebler had also given his full support for this project. There will be many benefits of this project for example a few will be the increasing of the amount of oil produced by the September Union and the economic benefits that will naturally come to us with it.

Between 80-100 environmentalist protesters have gathered outside the government building to protest this project, calling it a danger to our society and planet. They have also begun a petition calling for stopping this project, only around 170 has signed it for now. The government has stated that there is work on a environmental friendly program that will be presented next year, nothing more has been heard about it, but one major source has said that it isn't anything radical like the usual reforms of the Citizens' Party.

Regional militia in Kuratha formed
A hostile militia have formed in Kuratha without government approval. The national government has ordered Governor Stocker to handle the situation swiftly.


Today on 28 July 4729, a regional militia known as the 'Kurathan Liberation Army' has been formed, without any government approval. Minister of Internal Affairs Yashiro Suko has spoken to the Governor of Kuratha Jacob Stocker, it has been confirmed that Governor Stocker has been ordered to handle the repercussions of such an illegal formation. The KLA have posted their manifesto on the internet, stating that their goal is to liberate the Crownland of Kuratha and merge it with the Crownland of Budenlar through a forceful annexation, and create from it a "Confederate Republic of Kuratha-Budenlar". The Minister of Internal Affairs have commented in a press conference:

Currently we [the government] see that we can handle the situation peacefully, but we have not left out any scenarios and are preparing for such by working very closely with the USSC [Union State Security Committee]. We all are trying our best to not end up in an armed conflict with these [KLA] confused men and women. I, as well as the Premier believe that Governor Stocker can handle this, and we will make sure he gets the necessary resources. That's all I can say for now thank you.

It has also been reported that the government has spoken to the military high command of the necessary precautions of military conflict, but the government has remained silent on the matter.

KLA launches occupations of major cities in Kuratha
Over 10 thousand KLA soldiers have forcefully occupied the cities such as Vorm, Thauge and the regional capital of Anderinch.


In a few weeks "soldiers" of the recently formed militia "Kurathan Liberation Army" have forcefully occupied and taken over major cities around the Crownland of Kuratha, most notable being Vorm, Thauge and the Crownland's capital Anderinch. The national government has tried to contact the Governor of Kuratha Jacob Stocker, however, with not prevail. Premier Asami has said that the police and the army will be sent in to quell the uprising with the backing of the CPSU's paramilitary force, the Citizens Revolutionary Guard with Commander Cäsar Bergius as its spearhead. Premier Asami has also stated that she would like to go through with this without shedding any blood on any side and that this situation needs to be handled peacefully foremost.

The KLA leader Furorian Rinke broadcasted a speech soon after their capture of the cities, it has been confirmed that his speech was held in Anderinch:

My dear comrades! Today marks the day upon which the liberation of Kuratha begins! The liberation of the coastal lands of the merciless nation of Hulstria! We shall form our own ideal nation! A nation which only Kurathans can live! A nation which Budenlar will be a subject of Kuratha! A subject to our great cause! Long Live Kuratha!

Governor of Kuratha Jacob Stocker has been captured and executed by KLA
The President of the September Union, Gerwald Staebler has called it "disgusting and inhuman".

The other the day on 30 August 4729, the execution of the Governor of Kuratha, Jacob Stocker was carried out. It was reported that he had been captured three days earlier by the KLA outside the city of Anderinch. After the event, Deputy Governor Egon Kurei stepped in as acting governor, and was sworn in on live tv in the KLA occupied city of Anderinch. However during unexpected events acting governor Kurei declared his support for the KLA and stated that the whole Crownland was now KLA territory. Since this chain of events, the KLA has now been able to terrorize the armed forces of the September Union to the point that they have withdrawn from Kuratha. However, apparently that won't last long according to the President as he had stormed in to the Congress of Honorable Citizens and had held a short but powerful broadcasted speech not only to the assembled members of Congress but also to all the citizens of the nation:

These my friends are not liberators! They are murderers! Murderers and terrorists! We cannot stand idly by any longer to watch these animals plunder our lands and execute decent and humble officials who serves no other than the people! I request this honorable assembly to support my decision to wage war on them! To wage a total destructive war against these vile, disgusting and inhuman creatures!

The President's harsh words have gained sympathy all across the nation, many even have signed up to the armed forces and the Citizens' Revolutionary Guard. These however will not be the only words coming from the President, but he also announced that he will hold a speech to the nation later on this evening.

Fellow citizens, my countrymen! We face a grave task, and that is to keep our nation and our peoples together. Unfortunately there exists those who do not want this. There exists people who wish to separate families from their brothers, from their sisters, from their mothers and from their fathers. This is unacceptable! We are a proud nation! A proud people! We must stand for democracy and freedom against those who wishes to take it from us! I will not force anyone, what I want is to ask. Who? Who are ready to fight not only for their country but their people, their family... their home. I will. And I am going to tell you all what we will do. What we will do to those who try to ruin our lives. We will utterly and brutally defeat them. I will call this what it is, and it is war! A total and destructive war against the terrorists who have now managed to occupy a whole Crownland! Houses will be destroyed, farms will be used as cover, oil fields will be captured, communication centers will be fought over, but most importantly, people will die and we must make sure they do not die in vain, as we will capture their leader [Furorian Rinke] and we will capture the traitor [Egon Kurei] and they will face justice for what they have done! And I can promise this to all of those in Kuratha, we will liberate you. We will show you true liberation! And we will be victorious! Thank you all and may God bless you!
