Mr Deputy Prime Minister, your party has dominated Jakanian politics for decades, usually coming first in terms of votes. What is your opinion regarding KHP's recent election performance?
Crimson Crescent Party is a long-established, deep-rooted political party. It has seen many elections and no doubt it became vulnerable. Change is inevitable, and we were late to realise it. Jakanian people wanted other parties to take the helm of the country, but at the same time put KHP in a moderating position, as a protector of the republic. We might be the third party, but we hold substantial power nonetheless.
Recently founded Homeland Movement party seems to jeopardise your coalition with Jakania Forward!. Your parliamentary groups have voted the opposite on some bills, do you think the government is in danger of collapsing?
There is no danger whatsoever at the moment. As a result of our meetings with Prime Minister, we have decided to let our parliamentary groups to vote according to their party's official policy, since the bills were doomed to fail with United Left votes. Of course we have a difference of opinion with Jakania Forward on many matters, but we are committed to operate a stable government until the end of term.
BS and KHP voted the same on many proposals. Would you consider a coalition with BS if the current government collapsed?
As I have said, we are committed to our coalition protocol with Jakania Forward. We are focused on serving our nation to the best of our abilities.
KHP delivered most of its political agenda during the term of national unity government, and you were accused of bringing down the cabinet by doing that. What are your opinions regarding it?
Like today, in 5138 people voted for a conservative majority, and we simply fulfilled the responsibility that was vested upon us. I see the reason behind United Left's decision to withdraw from the government, you must see the reason behind our decision to implement conservative legislation as well.
Thank you Deputy Prime Minister.
Thank you.
