New Political Party Rises in Jakania, Begins Difficult Climb Towards National Politics
News Report from the Voice and Vision of the Jakanian State©
In the first couple years of Jakania's ongoing transition from a monarchy under the royal House of Sofuoglu into a more republican system after the Sofuoglu Party's bitter defeat from the Republican People's Party and the Fanatical Solidarity Party in the latest elections, the atmosphere of the political climate in the nation has been changing to fit its more democratic way of life. Since the summer of 4222, there have been multiple changes in the cabinet, political structure, national budget, and even early elections occurring less than a year after the formation of the new republic. The third member of the Majatran Revolutionary Socialist Federation (MRSF) are currently learning to grow and succeed in the newest of the nations' many attempts of creating a stable republic. This attempt may prove to even be more difficult with one of the three main parties of Jakania still being ran by the House of Sofuoglu and will likely be looking to rule as king again.
The other two parties might possibly find an ally in a new political movement rising up and slowly growing in the region of Hufata, one inspired by the past as well as their current neighbors. The League of Socialist Vanguards (or the Jakanian Vanguards as a short handle of their political name) was founded over the summer this year, two years after the founding of the new Republic by a former professor of an university in the nation's capital, Denk Özer. Mainly teaching courses in Majatran history, it's likely not difficult to guess that the professor has a positive view of the rise of Vanguardism and Jalalism that began with Jalal Al-e-Ahamd in Badara after a peaceful overthrowing of the House of Al-Majali, which the royal family later came to back the dictator over the course of his astonishing century plus reign over Badara. Jalal's reign as the leader of the revolution led the island nation to becoming a major player in the world stage for decades. The story of a man who went from being a lowly steel worker to someone who changed the course of history as the Eternal Guide of the Badaran people has always been a hot topic of discussion, whether during his rise to people and his many years as the ruler of the Vanguardship and after his death whether the violent rise of Jalaism in Dranland following his death or the legacy of Vanguard Communism which we only have to look towards our neighbors in Kalopia to see it's still alive and well on the continent.
"Jalal will always be a controversial figure in Terran history," Özer once stated in an university newspaper, "as most people in his position in history usually are. On one hand, you can't deny the militaristic tendencies that comes with the Vanguard ideology and that during his reign Badara has taken part in a lot of the continental conflicts that plagued the times. On the other hand, the fact that he's one of few people in Badaran history that overthrew their government through democratic means rather than bloodshed, to me at least, proves that Jalal was genuine about wanting to raise the people of Badara up from where they were before he turned the nation into a major player in Terran politics during one of the more... peculiar times in the planet's long history. Maybe that's why he found so much success in the world during his life, because he was just as interesting and peculiar as the world around him became."
As we previously stated, you can tell that Professor Ozer has some positive feelings towards the dictator's long and unusual reign as the Eternal Guide of the Revolution. That's likely why he has since founded and became the candidate for President of the Republic for his new Socialist Vanguards. The return of Vanguardism in the continent isn't anything new. As mentioned before, Kalopia as become a Vanguardship under the League of Communist Vanguards. The Communist Vanguards were founded in 4205 as a counter movement against the usually capitalist outlook of Kalopia. Along with the League of Social Democratic Vanguards, which has been founded a fair bit more recently, the Communist Vanguards has created the Union of Kalopian Revolutionary Socialist Vanguardships with the goal of spreading Vanguardism once again across the continent. This goal seems to line up with Denk Özer, given him founding a Vanguardist party in Jakania. However, founding a political party is easy. Having that party being accepted in the national stage is harder.
