The Federal Government has announced jointly with the Kingdom of Kazulia that the two nations will cooperate wholeheartedly and decisively in the military field for the elimination of armed terrorist organizations in their nations. On May 14, the Federal Government confirmed that the Kyo separatist terrorist organization known as the Kungmintang (KMT) has crossed into and successfully taken territory in the Kingdom of Kazulia. With terror attacks already the primary agenda item of North Dovani brought to Kazulia's attention, the two governments quickly found mutual interest in directing and coordinating joint anti-terrorist operations along the border. Deputy Director Amarachi Uchechy commented on the new joint project during a press statement today:

Terrorism has no bounds and knows no borders. Dangerous ethnic separatists who threaten civilians with war and nations with dissolution must be dealt with decisively and firmly by all nations on the face of the globe. All Terrans share collective interest in ending insurrectionary violence and the terror it inspires in common civilians; it is a violation of the world order and of human rights. Working with the Kingdom of Kazulia for a secure, stable, and peaceful future in the region, we will surely prevail and hold terrorists accountable for their crimes. Through our combined efforts, peace will come again to Kazulia and North Dovani will surely be reunified stronger than ever.

KMT militants have since taken and held the Hidlenten Pass and Hjort Creek checkpoints along the North Dovani-Kazulia border. The KMT, who currently exercise control over the North Dovanian provinces of Pyŏnganto, Kwanghaeto, and Ramkyŏngto, apparently have already decided to ambitiously cross into their claimed regions of expansion. The northern regions of Kazulia, whose population is only 3% ethnically Kyo, have been claimed by the KMT as part of the greater 'Kyo nation' which they have publicly declared they aspire to establish. Such a state would encompass the whole of the Dranian Peninsula, the northern mountains of Kazulia, and the eight western provinces of North Dovani. These goals and aims are explicitly ethnic supremacist and separatist in nature, a right wing deviation from the earlier Metzist-Leonidist aspirations of the first KMT, which was formed in 5061. It is believed that the new KMT's support base largely stems from the impoverished and economically destitute Kyo population of North Dovani. The KMT has also cited historical injustices and the alleged ethnic cleansing of Kyo people in the northern regions of Kazulia during the 1st and 2nd millennium as reasons for its goals of expansion throughout northwest Dovani.

Deputy Director Uchechy expressed grief and sympathy for the socioeconomic plagues of the North Dovanian Kyo population, who suffer the most nationally from poverty and income inequality. However, she stressed that terrorism was not the answer and urged KMT militants to surrender peacefully. Deputy Director Uchechy has granted amnesty to all terrorists in North Dovani that lay down their arms and swear allegiance to the Federal Government, but has threatened that those who are offered mercy and continue to fight will be completely annihilated. In other news, brave defenders of the Federal Armed Forces managed to defeat a 150-man strong attack led by the Ahmadist Fundamantalist Rawani Kore terrorist organization on a Bakinteku outpost. Top Rawani Kore militant 'Babban Sa', real name Mahmudu Husaini, was killed in the fighting. On the Keobi front, NKAM leader Chikelu Nwabudike remains at large, but sources believe him to still be operating from a base in Ndụndụ Ukori.

BREAKING - Federal authorities have confirmed that they have taken KMT terrorist Hong Young-Gwon into military custody as a prisoner of war. North Dovanian Special Forces released footage and photos documenting the apprehension of Hong following a brief shootout with a team that had tracked his location to the remote western city of Pukp'o. Pukp'o lies on the border of KMT-controlled provinces. KMT positions in have eroded rapidly in past weeks following renewed federal offensives on their bases - All of Ramkyŏngto Province has been secured by the Federal Government. Analysts suspected that Hong was attempting to rally support for connection between the KMT's northern and southern forces. He will be brought to the proper authorities, his sentence will be determined extrajudicially by the Federal Armed Forces.

Hong Young-Gwon is widely believed to have been the leading propagandist of the KMT, distributing and writing the comprehensive political theory of the ultranationalist group that continues to seek illegal secession and independence from the federation. His age is unknown, but authorities suspect him to be in his twenties, likely radicalized by the KMT during the collapse of the first Kyung government. The takedown of one of the KMT's top leaders is a trend. In 5372, all three terrorist groups wrote a joint manifesto calling for the criminal dissolution of the Federation and the division of our nation along ethnic lines. However, the alliance collapsed in February of this year as Rawani Kore and the NKAM turned against KMT. This interfront sabatoge allowed the Federal Government to make great gains. In June, 'Emir' Umaru Abubakar was killed in a federal raid, effectively destroying Rawani Kore as an organized force.

Federal authorities later revealed that Hong had been shot in the arm, and stated that the terrorist had been treated with medical care.

Deputy Director of the Federal Government Amarachi Uchechy has formally declared the insurgency in North Dovani to have been defeated once and for all. The KMT signed an agreement in December 23 5374, agreeing to disarm and dismantle their government in the west. Earlier in the year, the second leader of the NKAM, Ozioma Yobachukwu, was captured and surrendered. A year before, both NKAM founder Chikelu Nwabudike and 2nd Emir of Rawani Kore, Umaru Abubakar, were dispatched by Federal forces. Now, with the KMT pacified, the NKAM leaderless and decapitated, and Rawani Kore decapitated, insurgent activity has largley come to a standstill. The announcement heralds the official end of the state of emergency in the country as the caretaker government reveals plans to transition back to civilian rule under the old pre-5368 Federal Constitution, citing pitfalls in the Presidential system reform.

An agency known as the Federal Electoral Ministry (FEM) has been formed and tasked with the registration of all political parties for the upcoming elections, whose date has yet to be announced. Currently, only one party has been explicitly banned from participating in the next round - the KMT, which, as part of it's disarmament agreement, promised to abstain from national and regional politics for at least a decade after the 5374 agreement that ended their war against the Federal Government. It is expected that major antebellum parties like the Liberal and Democratic parties will continue to exist in some altered forms. In the meantime, the parliament, dismissed with the initial takeover by Uchechy in 5372, will not be re-convened until it can be reformed following the new elections.

In the meantime, the Federal Government has continued to push for the. As most major economic and financial centers in the nation (with the exception of western cities like Bulkŭnbyŏl) were unfazed by the fighting, most common in rural areas, they were able to sustain normal economic activity during the insurgency crisis. Despite this, the political situation has drained foreign investment from North Dovani, leaving the economy troubled and unable to sustain antebellum standards of living. The Federal Government has claimed that it is seeking to further ties and investment from traditional trading partners like Mina, Utari Mosir, Istapali, Liore, and Ostland in order to lead the economy into a period of rebound. It is expected that North Dovani's national economy will experience major growth in the following years under a new, united, stable government, but the scars of fighting and ethnic tension remain seared into the public imagination. The path to recovery has just begun.

Samɓali Ugwuanyi has been been sworn in rapidly as the new Prime Minister of the North Dovanian Federation, just five days after the conclusion of the historic 5380 Elections. The new Progress Party, formed and bonified legally by the Federal Electoral Ministry (FEM) on May 1 5378, has secured a coalition with the Green Party for an absolute majority of 285/493 seats in the legislature, ensuring the stability of the new government. PM Kyung and Deputy Director Achechy were both present at the swearing in ceremony, having abdicated their positions beforehand, ensuring a smooth transition of power. This is a monumental leap for the nation, which was earlier facing an existential crisis at a time that it seemed very likely North Dovani would cease to exist as a nation, being threatened with explosion into a number of small, ethnically divided, hostile cliques. Today, those fears are firmly put to rest. The North Dovanian Federation has been saved and restored as a functioning democracy as the new legislative session is upon the nation.

A 'Progressive Revolution'

Following the beginning of electoral preparation 5 years ago in 5375, the pre-insurrectionary political parties of North Dovani began to assemble en masse for the first time in over a decade. Analysts widely predicted the established Liberal Party to be the easy frontrunner. Led by popular Economic Minister and 2-time Presidential Candidate Umaru Abdullahi, the Liberal Party was in an enviable position. Being in opposition during the crisis years, they could blame all problems on the government whilst reaping the benefits of public anger. Furhtermore, the Liberals are one of the most established and historied political parties in North Dovani today, having a relatively prestigious record of rule during periods of economic growth. Their pro-western diplomatic agenda was also very friendly to the increasing foreign investment in the economy, which could play a crucial role in re-development efforts. In a much worse place were their traditional rivals, the Democratic Party. Many vilified federalist elements of the Democratic Party to be responsible for the collapse in the first place, an incompetent has-been power unfit for office. It was clear that the center-left faced defeat without radical reinvention.

Then came the Progressives. Center and right elements of the old Social Democratic Party joined the Progressive movement over their shared opposition to Neo-Liberalism and Federalism.

Elements of Anti-Imperialism and independence were also stressed during the campaign.

The current neoliberal order has failed the developing world as it continues to prioritize the unfettered growth of capitalist assets over human need and sustainable development. We are not against trade with the so-called "free world" by any means, but I will make it clear that North Dovani intends to boldly seek out only respectful partners capable of rational and mutually beneficial action. No parties in the international arena ought to be supplicant to the whims of the other. North Dovani under the Progress Party will work without fail in her efforts to elevate the status of diplomacy for the dignity of the Dovanian continent.

PPAP Make Modest Gains but Underdeliver


The Popular People's Alliance for Peace (PPAP), the successor party of the Keobi Nationals rebranded as a federal-level organization, recieved second place in an upset to the whittled down Liberal Party. The PPAP took a state welfare stance. The PPAP also promised leniency and reintegration for former members of the NKAM, promoting development in Keobi majority areas. Kyo Nationalists Banned from Independent Ticket, Rally Behind Progressivism


The KMT (Kungmintang, or Citizen's Party) were banned from running an independent ticket during the electoral cycle as a part of their 5374 peace agreement with the Federal Government. Despite this, the KMT In the spirit of national reconciliation, PM Ugwuanyi has also publicly promised clemency for former KMT members. He controversially met with former head of the KMT's propaganda department Hong Young-Gwon in a televised 3-hour conversation. In the interview, Hong claimed that he had reformed and firmly stood behind the preservation of the North Dovanian nation-state as a legitimate and. PM Ugwuanyi has promised that, as Head of Government, he would use his constitutional powers of pardon to free Hong and mitigate certain KMT members following intensive reform and rehabilitation training in order to 'alleviate the west'. The western eight provinces of North Dovani, which on average house a 84% Kyo population, have long been. Their poverty was largely what enabled the rise of the KMT during the Years of Blood and Lead. In return for this clemency, the KMT's Central Committee mounted. Ugwuanyi's decisive sweep throughout the impoverished west is largely attributed to his KMT support.

NORTH DOVANIAN FEDERATION TO DISSOLVE, NATION NOW SIMPLY 'NORTH DOVANI'

Hong Young-Gwon will become North Dovani's new Head of State as the Progressive Revolution reaches it's full extremity. The legislature of the Federation has officially pushed through a constitutional revamp that has transformed the federal nation into a unitary state. But most crucially, the structures of state governance will now be invested in a legislature appointed by intelligence and personal merit, the Supreme College. All members must be sufficiently tested and scored in the key areas of governance, knowledge, reason, decision-making, interpersonal and emotional intelligence, and composure. The Supreme College consists of 9 sectors pertaining to different fields of knowledge; Economics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology and Environment, Psychology, Humanities, Defense Sciences, and Miscellaneous Sciences.

North Dovani will now operate not only on the principles of Meritocracy, but Geniocracy and Technocracy. Hong's position is largely symbolic; it is expected that he will be replaced by the first geniocratic Doctor following the first scheduled Choegeo exam in 5392.

'Call Us Novani' - North Dovani Announces Major Linguistic Reform
January 1, 5391

North Dovani's Provisional Government has officially declared the creation of the North Dovanian, or Novanian, Language as the official language of the new state, to replace the previous lingua franca system that employed Kyo as a working language between the national ethnic groups. First proposed by Progressives in the Federal legislature back in 5382, the "Novanian Language Movement" has gained rapid traction in the past decade due to perceived weaknesses of the past federal system of government. As North Dovani transitions to becoming a unitary state with a united culture, the provisional government finally announced the adoption of the language as the official national language as a sign of the construction of a new society filled with cooperation and strong unity.

Novanian is a constructed language, or conlang, that incorporates elements from all previous national languages of North Dovani. The grammatical structure is primarily based on the Kyo language (which previously served as the de facto language of communication in the nation), but many nouns are derived from the Huhoa language. The most overt example of this is in the national motto, Yansi Kŭrigo Adalsi (얀시 그리고 아달시), which means "Freedom and Justice". Yansi, the Novanian word for freedom, is derived from Huhoa 'yanci, and Adalsi (Justice) from adalci. Honorifics and titles are also adopted from the Standard Degalogesan language.

Alongside these linguistic reforms, North Dovani will be updating it's modern image as well. The government has begun to interchange the name "North Dovani" with a shortened nickname, "Novani". This is where the term "Novanian" in the Novanian Language originates from.

The Supreme College of Novani has officially passed bill NS19-112. NS19-112 was perhaps the most controversial bill to hit the legislature this year; it calls for the construction of a new national capital. The new capital, Dovania, is now to be constructed. Located alongside the Cheong River in central Novani, Dovania will become the administrative, economic, and scientific capital of the nation when it is completed. However, there are still arguments over whether it is feasible to pour such a sizable amount of national GDP into the creation of a new capital. Proponents have declared that the new, modern planned capital will be a symbol of civilization and order to replace the old, windy roads and confusing squares of Chinasa. Dovania will be Novani's first planned city and planned capital.

The national population was recorded to be 33% of Central Descent, 30% of Eastern Descent, 30% of Western Descent, 6% of Northern Descent, and 1% of other ethnicities. Authorities announced today that work on the Sihyon District of Dovania had completed, laying the foundations for the transfer of state institutions from the former capital in Chinasa to the new Government Complex in Sihyon Square [pictured above]. The Doctor of Novani, Kanatase Tekanatoken, hailed the timely completion of the district, which took 5 years, as a "sure sign of the economic development and resolute force of the Novanian Nation".

Dovania is the planned capital of Novani, with construction having begun in the summer of 5420. Current plans call for the further completion of 3 more districts in addition to Sihyon; Uzunkhem, Kıskakar, and Ehnítaohné:ka. These districts will support a combined population of 1 million projected by 5430, although only 234,000 people have been vetted to live in the Sihyon district so far.

Dovania is slated to have finished initial construction by the end of 5427 by initial projections, but immigration to the city has already begun due to high demand for the prized location. Dovania boasts the best and most modern transportation, housing, and amenities in the entire nation, whose traditional population centers (Jinppo, Chinasa, Bakinteku, and Ananwabee) have been often built on antiquated and costly-to-repair infrastructure.

Dovania welcomed her first foreign delegation this week as Prime Minister of the Dolgavan Empire, Ursula Soosaar was welcomed to the completed, new planned capital. PM Soosaar reportedly praised the excellent and modern street design, public transportation systems, and urban design that was showcased during his tour of the city, which was accompanied by the cheering of thousands of residents. Following the parade, the Dolgavan delegation was ushered into the new Government Complex in Dovania's Sihyon Square, where negotiations regarding bilateral relations were carried out.

The Dolgavan-Novanian Treaty of Peace and Friendship, signed into effect during the summit, created a scientific partnership between the two governments for the purposes of advancing mineral extraction, which both countries depend upon for a sizeable amount of their income. This includes findings regarding practices like fracking, placer mining, and underground mining. The treaty fell short of declaring complete or perpetual non-aggression, but declared that Novani and Dolgava would "forever act in the best and mutual interests of maintaining peace and friendly relations". With more Dolgavan investment and intellectual capital coming into Novani, it is likely that the Empire will be one of Novani's strongest partners in the near future.

Novani scored a historic victory this January, being rated by the Terran Transparency Foundation as Dovani's 4th least corrupt nation. The honor is a first for our country, which has been traditionally plagued by ethnic conflict and widespread corruption in local and federal government. With the Progressive Revolution of the past decades that has transformed society into a decidedly Unitary state focused on assimilating and progressing all peoples through universal merit and education, it appears that these chains of the past are being severed. Doctor of the Supreme College, Odeserundiye Niioherasha, hailed the recent developments as

"a certain sign that the momentous embarkment of the united Novanian people on their meritocratic and scientific revolution, is destined to win a decisive victory against the dark forces of corruption, greed, and ignorance. We will continue to single-heartedly work towards the elimination of personal gain and egomaniacal self-interest from our public institutions, which will shine as pillars of trust, faith, and community uniting the entire nation."
