August 5378 | BREAKING NEWS: President Qeadi dies, People's Council election set for September and new strikes in Medina

Khamandi - President Javad Qaedi was pronounced dead at the Imam Hamid Jan University Medical Center following complications from heart surgery following a heart attack in the early morning hours of 17th August, 5378. According to the Presidential Spokesman, the President was found collapsed in his office following a security briefing in the morning. Prime Minister Tawas Zubairi announced that prior to the President's death he had authorized the elections to be held and would proceed as scheduled in September, 5378 for the People's Council. Sources close to the President had noted that he had wanted to introduce "new political elements" to the People's Council following more pro-Ahmadi elements being spawned in Bazgari society, this includes the allegation that Qeadi loyalist had founded the National Unity Party following push back from other factions in the People's Democratic Party. The other faction, the Sadatist, named after the founder of the People's Democratic Party and the Leader of the Banner Revolution, has remained chiefly in control of at least half of the People's Democratic Party and has clashed internally with the Qaedist over their pro-Ahmadi policies. The post of General-Secretary will remain unfilled until an extraordinary Party Congress can be called, until then the post will remain vacant and Prime Minister Zubairi will serve as acting President and acting General-Secretary due to being number 2 in the party.

The Ministry of the Interior, who is responsible for organizing elections, announced that several parties have registered to compete in the first "true" multi-party election for the People's Council. According to the Ministry of the Interior the People's Democratic Party and their "Revolutionary Front" allies will run as a bloc, the Revolutionary Front includes the Xsampan Communist Party, Communist Party of Bazgaristan (Ruanism) and the Socialist Workers' Party of Bazgaristan. The People's Democratic Party continues to have two competing factions: the Qeadist (who absorbed the Ahmadi Liberation Organization party) and the Sadatist but will ultimately run under 1 ticket. The new bloc, which consists of the more dedicated Qeadist, National Unity Party and the Ahmadi Society of Combatant Clergy, who had experienced a surge in popularity following President Qeadi's patronage.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Zardad Khattak has welcomed the new pro-Ahmadi government in Medina and has announced that they will unequivocally support the "Will of Ahmad". Following this announcement there were a number of reports of explosions in Western Medina aimed at striking anti-Ahmadi and anti-government targets; there have been reports that the Bazgari military has utilized these targets to test their new Ghazi-110 missiles underneath the supervision of the engineers and developers of the Bazgari Military Industrial Organization (BMIO) who has been developing missile technology since February, 5378 and have utilized older missiles as a base. While drone strikes and the allegations of missile strikes have been rampant, there are also reports that the ARGC Helem Force has begun propping up pro-Ahmadi militias in the country, the most notable being the Ahmadi Victory Movement (Zaqrami: احمدی فتح تحریک; Ahmadi Fatah Tehreek), which operates in Western Medina.

September 5378 | Ahmadi bloc takes largest share in People's Council.

Kahmandi - The election and subsequent death of President Javad Qaedi prompted a radical shift in the governance in Bazgaristan; the dying President's decree has altered the political landscape in Bazgaristan. The President decreed that new political parties could enter into the political arena after years of back and forth with the Ministry of the Interior. The President's supporters who did not align with the People's Democratic Party broke from the PDP and formed the National Unity Party and the other supporters formed the Ahmadi Society of Combatant Clergy, which is dominated mostly by expat Aldegarians. The Qaedist faction of the PDP retains significant control over the PDP but the Sadaist brought their supporters out in local and regional congresses and took back a significant portion of the seats internally. The PDP still technically dominates the Democratic Republic of Bazgaristan however the presence of new parties was welcomed by its population.

Internally, the People's Democratic Party held their own election and the divide between the Qaedist and Sadaist grew deeper, however the Qaedist faction won out and Mohambar Sabzvari was elected as the General-Secretary of the People's Democratic Party, a member of the Poliburo of the Central Committee and the Central Committee. By virtue of this, he was the sole candidate and elected as the President of the Democratic Republic of Bazgaristan.

President Sabzvari announced he had appointed National Unity Party leader Heydar Eskandari as the new Prime Minister (Chairman of the Council of Ministers), and announced the appointment of two Deputy Prime Ministers: Amir Reza Karimi (Ahmadi Society of Combatant Clergy) and Toryal Shaikh (Qaedist PDP) to assist Eskandari. Shortly after the announcement, the Prime Minister announced his Council of Ministers.

FEBRUARY 5382 | BREAKING: BAZGARISTAN BEGINS GROUND INVASION OF WESTERN MEDINA


Bazgari Liberation Army Ground Forces advance into Mina as the Socialist-backed illegitimate government responds.

WESTERN MEDINA President Mohambar Sabzvari announced that he had given authorization for the Bazgari Liberation Army and the Ahmadi Revolutionary Guard Corps to enter into Western Medina to assist Ahmadi's who are being slaughtered by the new government in Medina. In December, 5379 a socialist-backed military coup took place and despite the claims that they were "...Ahmadi socialist...", the Bazgari government has condemned what they call a genocide of deeply religious Ahmadi's in Western Medina. The announcement comes after months of back and forth attacks between the Ahmadi Victory Movement and several other pro-Ahmadi militias that the Foreign Ministry has continued to deny any involvement in. While the support for pro-Ahmadi forces in Medina remains strong, the Bazgari Liberation Army and the ARGC continued to strike anti-Ahmadi elements in Medina and provided support for the now deposed pro-Ahmadi government which fled to Western Medina where they were protected by several pro-Ahmadi militias and forces. As the socialist-backed military coup continued forward, the Bazgari government began threatening the new Medinan government for their continued genocide of religious Ahmadi's in the west of the country. A diplomatic row erupted and continued until December, 5381 when President Sabzvari gave the authorization.

The new Minister of National Defense and the Chief of the Joint Defense Staff, General Baz Tauqi, has authorized the 3rd Corps, which is responsible for operations in Eastern Bazgaristan and is based out of Jawghez, to begin combat operations in Western Medina as a means to "...liberate and prevent the genocide of Ahmadi's in the region." The 3rd Corps is lead by Lieutenant General Khushdil Chutani and has several brigades and independent kandaks (battalions) underneath its command. According to sources close to the Ministry of National Defense and the Central Military Commission, the 3rd Corps Commando kandak began operations in the early morning hours of January, 5382 in support of the Ahmadi Victory Movement which announce days earlier a call for a jihad against the new socialist government in Medina. The early attacks on border outposts were conducted by Ghazi-110 missiles and suicide drone attacks, elements of the Helem Force of the ARGC began incursions across the border and captured several strategic border towns. At the same time as missile and drone strikes were striking pro-government forces and supporters in Western Medina, the Bazgari Foreign Ministry announced it had been requested to assist the Ahmadi Republic of Medina, the government-in-exile of Medina, and their President, Foroohar Dehwar.

According to the Joint Staff Department of the CMC, the Bazgari Liberation Army Ground Forces (BLAGF) are planning for large-scale ground operations to begin come spring 5382.

MARCH 5382 | BAZGARISTAN MEETS WITH SUMAN SEPARATIST FROM HANZEN

KHAMANDI President Mohambar Sabzvari, Prime Minister Heydar Eskandari and Minister of Foreign Affairs Zardad Khattak announced that they would be meeting with Suman separatist leaders Koa Somphousiharath and Moke Khamchanh in Kahmandi to discuss "...matters of regional importance...". The move is sure to anger the central government in Hanzen as Suman separatist are suspected in the recent attack on the Hanzen Queen; the region of Suman borders both Medina and Bazgaristan. Bazgaristan has remained tight-lipped following the attack though some sources have cited Somphousiharath and Khamchanh have been trained and supported by the Ahami Revolutionary Guard as they are the prominent leaders of the separatist movement and have a notable portion of Ahmadi's in their areas due to cultural diffusion from both Medina and Bazgaristan, both Ahmadi-based nations. President Sabzvari stated that he supported Suman independence and it was clear that the "...corrupt autocratic government of Hanzen was more interested in ruling over and hoarding people then they were in ensuring that their people thrived." The four day visit included visits to Bazgari Liberation Army bases, in addition to meetings with high-level government officials. Reporters have cited that Khamchanh was seen in the company of Commander-in-Chief of the Ahmadi Revolutionary Guard Corps with senior commanders, some of them suspected to be involved in the Helem Force and the ARGC Intelligence Organization.

Khamandi - Foreign Minister Zardad Khattak was joined by several representatives of Hanzen Ahmadis, and the Bazgari Minister of Religious and Tribal Affairs Ghakhtalay Sajjadi to condemn the announcement of Hanzen's "inquiry" into Ahmadism. "The Democratic Republic of Bazgaristan stands with Hanzen Ahmadi's in this brazen attack on religious freedom in Hanzen. Ahmadism is a peaceful religion and we believe that this crackdown on Ahmadism in Hanzen is politically motivated. Hanzen Ahmadi's are being targeted and we feel that violence might be next towards them." The Foreign Minister condemned any attempts to subvert religious tolerance and freedoms in Southern Dovani and has noted that the Kingdom of Hanzen has become increasingly radicalized with "...autocratic tendencies..." and that they could very well be planning a wholesale religicide of Ahmadi's in their territories. The Foreign Minister, who was joined by Suman separatist leaders Koa Somphousiharath and Moke Khamchanh in Kahmandi also attacked their government in Hanzen and have stated that they have long oppressed those peoples who disagree with the monarchy and "...do not bend the knee towards the Queen and her corrupt followers." Foreign Minister Khattak noted that Bazgaristan might be required to take more drastic measures to ensure that a religicide in Hanzen does not take place, including providing financial and humanitarian aid to Hanzen Ahmadi's when necessary to protect them from their government.

While tensions with Hanzen remain at an all time high, the ground invasion of Western Medina has stalled due to a series of logistical issues related to the supply of the Bazgari Liberation Army Ground Forces. Minister of National Defense and Chief of the Joint Defense Staff, General Baz Tauqi has allegedly met with the commander of the 3rd Corps, Lieutenant General Khushdil Chutani, several times in Khamandi and has demanded increased production from the BLAGF. While the BLAGF has "stalled" in their operations, the Ahmadi Revolutionary Guard Corps continue to thrive in the usage of long-range missiles and the deployment of drones in a new era of unmanned aerial warfare that the Bazgari military is increasingly involved in.
