Hirano Resigns
August 4, 3656

Hideo Hirano has resigned as Sessei after a term of just 19 months. Hirano resigned after it became clear that the Queen's Household Bureau was invovled in the drafting and distribution of a petition to the Kokkai calling on the Government to stop its forest privatisation plan which led to the Kokkai rejecting the proposal. Hirano himself has claimed that the Kokkai's rejection , not the Queen's presumed intervention led to his resignation. Others have also blamed his excessive focus on the Ishinawa Conference which appears to remain in a stalemate.

Elections will be held to replace him next month, with his party the Renaissance Party nominating Foreign Minister Chuka Tsukino, unopposed, as its candidate for Sessei. The fact that the country, by September, will has seen four Sessei in the past three years has led some to question the wisdom of a directly elected head of government. Few are excited about the election where the Renaissance Party expects an easy victory, facing little opposition and with its rallying cry of “it’s us, chaos or the Lodamunization menace!’, in reference to the former regime's cultural preferences.

Defence Budget Standoff Ends In Tragedy
September 24, 3857

Sessei Chuka Tsukino's eleven month old government has faced its first truly harrowing challenge since her election last September. The Government's decision to push through with what most consider to a rash defence forces reform, driven by austerity was criticised by several defence chiefs who accused it of 'banking on deceptive calm' The defence chiefs said the government was putting all its eggs in the 'Mikokuzin defence basket' referring to the ongoing processes to create a Mikokuzin Union of the four Gao-Showan nations and its provisions for mutual defense.

After several months of harsh criticism from the armed forces and other pro-defence conservatives, Tsukino's government pushed through the legislation turning the Sekowan army into a part time and part reservist group. while selling off Sekowo's small defence industry as well. The military conservatives could no longer bear it when the 75% budget cut was announced. Earlier this morning, thirty six senior military officers stood outside the Sessei's Office, in what most presumed to be an ordinary protest. Instead, the men and women produced short blades and in an ultimate mode of protest, disemboweled themselves, decrying the 'dishonour to the armed forces.' Of the 36, 23 died on the scene while 4 more died on the way to nearby hospitals. Only 9 survived after receiving medical care. The tragedy continues as dozens of officers have been imitating what they now view as their heros’ seppuku.

The event has shaken the Sessei’s government especially the Sessei. Later revelations that the Shaman-Queen’s administrative officials had sent letters to leading protesters like Maj. Gen. Taro Hideyoshi urging them to ‘defend the sanctity of the Divine Kingdom’s defenders’ only worsened the effect. The Sessei’s political future is now uncertain and Sekowo might just soon see a fifth Sessei in less than five years. It is highly unlikely that the Sessei will resign before the Mikokuzin Treaty is ratified by the Kokkai.

Sato Poised To Take Over
February 11, 3858

Image
Sato (centre) out on the campaign trail

Following Sessei Chuka Tsukino's resignation on February 2, the Sessei's Renaissance Party has nominated big beast Finance Minister Tarō Sato as its Sessei candidate for elections scheduled for March 12. The party faces no serious opposition however many anticipate real changes in governance once Sato takes office. The 67 year old former accountant has pledged to reform the political system, with a view to stabilise it. The unstable current system will have seen a fifth Sessei in five years something which has large businesses and social conservatives, Sato's main political base even more passionate in their support of him. He led the Finance Ministry for the past three years with considerable efficiency and maintained his austerity program even as Cabinets collapsed around him.

Conservative Republican Party Returns!

Image
Chairwoman Sü Qing, of the Conservative Republicans Party, speaking to the National Board of Future Leaders of Sekowo

After almost 25 Years underground, the Conservative Republican Party has decided to make a comeback to Sekowo. The Chairwoman of the Party, Madam Sü Qing, spoke on the cause of their disappearance and what they are willing to fulfill in the next four years our so. She spoke to the Board of Future Leaders of Sekowo (BFLS).

"Ladies and gentlemen of Sekowo and the BFLS, it is great to be back here in the Captial after a long 25 years being away. We didn't leave because of fraud or anything illegal like other parties do, but we left on the sense of the country at the time. The party's leadership fell Down the drain in the year f 3837, before the military expansion took place. Seems like we did more harm to the nation than help it. So we just took our things and left. We went to a different country to try and learn how to be more effective in the nation's politics. Learning took us years and years. We finally grew in knowledge that we decided to come back, but we didn't come back empty handed. We came back with a plan.

Once the party has the majority in the Kokkai and the office of Prime Minister, we shall work tirelessly with the other parties to insure our safety. The Defense Budget will be increased back to 300 Billion SEK the way it was during our time in Sekowo. We will focus mostly on bringing back the Defense Sector and the reconstruction of the military. Also, we need to focus on our main input and output of oil. The oil rigs that we built in Vorona was closed due to the lack of funding to the Ministry that it's under. We will try to stay balanced in our works in policy and legislation. Our main goal is to stay bipartisan in our decisions.

Organization is the key."

The BFSL was shocked to what the party chairwoman had said due to the recent party and nation leadership. We know from years of experience that this party has caused a lot of problems nationally and internationally. We'll wait and see if they will uphold their duties and words.

Prime Minister Begins Military Construction, Spending Problems?

Image
President Lucrèce speaking at the Navy Base in Itokaki, Hokuzan

The newly appointed Prime Minister of Sekowo, spoke at the Naval Base in Itokaki, Hokuzan, discussing the issues with the military being down yet again by unworthy parties.

This nation has faced a great deal in the military and with it. The Nation's Defense is the most important aspect in our country, and unworthy parties are shutting it down..yet again.

He also spoke on the economic background of the first piece of legislation that he will propose to the Kokkai over the economy and trade and infrastructure.

There is a piece of legislation that my team and I are writing. It's to deal with our economic, trade, and infrastructure policy and demands. The oil rigs in Voronian waters has been under our control since the war with Zardugal took place. Past parties has slowly abandoned the oil rigs, which brought us millions in SEK and an abundance of output in trade. Now we are negative and our people are suffering from it. This bill will reacticate our oil rigs and bring them back to us in full.

Prime Minister Lucrèce will also sign an Executive Order that will allow the military to be brought up with speed and effectiveness.

I have an Executive Order waiting to be signed. It will allow our military to reconstruct itself in its own jurisdiction, out of the Federal Court jurisdiction, but under the Prime Minister's. This will allow us to build without going through the Kokkai or Court first.

The plans and proposals are just the first step to his Prime Ministery. We expect to see more from him in the upcoming years as Prime Minister of Sekowo.

Prime Minister To Begins Construction of Nuclear Weapons

LEAKED NEWS- From a Senior Official of the Prime Minister's Administration, we have gathered information of the Prime Minister's plan to begin the construction of Nuclear Weapons (WP). The news was delivered via source code. A source code is a secret code that the government uses to deliver news to top secret locations, however it was used to deliver this news to the SNN. The Editor of the SNN has sent out a few reporters to interview key members of the Kokkai such as the Conservative Republican Party Kokkai Leader, Chairman of the Armed Forces Committee, Chairwoman of the Government Oversight Committee, etc.

The Chairwoman of the Government Oversight Committee, said quite a few. "The Prime Minister is overstepping on his Constitutional duty. He cannot begin construction of Nuclear Weapons without consent from the Emperor. Prime Minster Lucrèce needs to back down on the plans he has for our nation. I will not sit here and let this pass through. I will personally challenge this in the Kokkai and the Supreme Court for just being a downright ignorant idea of a Prime Minister."

The CRP Kokkai Leader said more optimistic things unlike the Chairwoman. "I disagree with the Chairwoman on the Prime Minister's Constitutional Duty. He is fulfilling his right as Commander-in-Chief of the Sekowan Armed Forces. He is also fulfilling his duty as protecting our Nation and upgrading our National Security from depressing to Trigunian. This is a major step in our National Defense and our Government. We should support his decision and get this done as soon as possible."

The Prime Minister's Chief of Staff was confronted while he walked out of the Defense Ministry Building, but didn't answer any questions that came his way. The reporters followed him all the way to his little motorcade where three of his Security Detail Agents waited for him. He did stop once he reached his car and said, "Ignorant damsels in distress, go the hell away please. Always feeding off people so you can make a few you filthy prostitutes!" The National Prostitute Association confronted his words legally in the court.

The Prime Minister did not speak in public yet, so we sit back and wait for the rest of the plan rather than the one that was leaked to us at SNN.

Prime Minister's Plan to Decrease the National Deficit

Image
Prime Minister Zenono speaking at an economic convention in Toyama, Nanzan (June 25, 3891)

The Prime Minister had an elaborate and clever plan to decrease the deficit without putting much pressure on the citizens' taxes. He spoke at the National Economic Reform Convention, held in Toyama, Nanzan at the state's main Economic center, Nanzan Economic Complex. He introduced his plan to the Economic Advisors in Sekowo, Kokkai members, Corporate CEOs, and other citizens.

Prime Minister Zenon announced that his first action to tackling the huge debt the nation is cutting government spending.

The plan is simple. My actions are simple. The first course of action is to cut government spending below 300 Billion SEK. I have already sat down with the Kokkai leadership to construct a plan of action in doing such. We decided to reduce military spending and all other spendings in the other ministries. Looking at it, we are below 300 Billion SEK, so we are on the right track to a debt free nation.

The audience applauded at the outstanding work the Prime Minister had done in his time as the leader of the nation. After the audience applauses fainted, he began to discuss his second action.

Secondly, ladies and gentlemen, without harming the hard working Sekowans pocket's,, we cut taxes in the essential goods by 2% for now. It will gradually decrease as the debt gradually decrease.

There was even louder applauses from the audience. Once it died down again, he attacked his third plan harder.

Now, my third and final action for now is not at all the best, but t should help later on. I can care less if the CEOs hate me, but I have increased the corporate tax from 25% to 50%. This will be decreased in 5-10 years.

The Corporate CEOs booed, but the audience clapped this time.

After the Prime Minister finished discussing his first plan, he exited the stage only to appear in another room full of reporters asking questions about his plan.

Conservative Republican Party Moves Out

After long, and hard decisions from the leadership of the Party, it has come down to this. The party must leave the nation and move to Trigunia. We have done all we can and we will do even better in Trigunia. Sekowo will always be in our hearts and minds.

OOC: My other account that played Sekowo is inactive in my perspective, so my Trigunia account should be activated Ina matter of time.

Sekowo Accepts Annexation
April 3894, 2nd Year of the Amaterasu Era
Image
Mikuni-Hulstrian officers accepting the featly of Sekowan noblemen.

In Featly to the Eternal Harmony and Empire Magificent, we Dedicate this Article to the Reunified Mikuni Nation - In the face of the overwhelming power of the Mikuni-Hulstiran Empress and her Shogunate, the people of Sekowo have submitted to the Will of Heaven. After the unruly disorder left in the wake of the total abandonment of all government posts by the Republican regime, who apparently hated Sekowo so much that they left it for a gaijin nation, the people welcome the final reunification of the Old Empire of Gao-Soto, ending centuries of division between continetal Gao-Showans as well as their counterparts of Western descent. The rightful return of the descendants of Yukio the Great and Empress Kumiko to the throne of Sekowo has long been overdue.

Image
Arch-Daimyo Yūkīō-Rabuzubāgu-Ishinaa Kaguya shall govern Sekowo in her cousins name.

As of this day, the Dominion of Sekowo shall be a autonomous but integral part of the Great Empire of Mikuni-Hulstria, ruled over by a Arch-Daimyo representing the Imperial Throne. Princess Kaguya, who oversaw the occupation, has already taken up this great responsibility and has established a new cadet branch of the Imperial House, Yūkīō-Rabuzubāgu-Ishinaa, to continue her line. There will be some changes, of course, in religious matters - in order to bring the people of Sekowo into the Imperial Cult, and Hulstro-Mikun will naturally become the official language of government. But our Sekowan heritage is not dishonoured, for we are not a conquered but a liberated people. We shall live in unity we our northern brethren.

The Death of Sekiguchi Fairname

On August 21, 3964, Sekiguchi Fairname, the beloved Mother of Daitōryō (大統領) Kodos Fairname of Sekowo, left the earth forever. She died, unexpectedly, of a heart attack, although some Sekowans say that she was simply Called by Heaven. A few Neo-Artetists even went so far as to suggest that she seemed to resemble, and perhaps even was the Entoli of Theos.

Sekiguchi Fairname famously fled from the Haiiro no shatsuāmī (Grey Shirt Army) of Minamoto Takimoto’s ultra-nationalist dictatorship in 3924, along with Her husband (Charlemagne Fairname, a Sécowonnais), with a young Kodos in arms. She, along with many other Sekowan exiles and refugees who fled the repressive regime, found refuge in Kirlawa.

Although Sekiguchi lived in Sekowo ever since the return of democracy, when She died She was visiting old friends in Kirlawa from the period of the Great Sekowan Exile. A government plane has been dispatched to Kirlawa to collect Her body, which will be returned to the Fairname Palace in the capital Itokaki (Ichugachi). Mourners will then gather and provide offerings, after which point Her ashes will be brought to the Fairname family shinju (haka).

Image
Sekowans mourn the loss of Sekiguchi Fairname

If Kodos Fairname can be regarded as the father of the modern democratic Sekowo (which remains hotly contested by Fairname’s rivals), then Sekiguchi Fairname can be regarded as the mother of the father of the modern democratic Sekowo. Hence, She is regarded (at least by the most fanatical supporters of the Yoko Kake Meguppātī), as the Mother of Sekowo.

Controversially, some Sekowans (including Minister of Education and Culture Mi Baiyō Inoshishi, along with Minister of Health and Social Services Samansa Wa Takusan Keāzu), have begun to off-handedly refer to Ger as high Kikoegimi following Her passing.

A prolonged period of general national mourning has been declared in Sekowo, and dignitaries from across the world have been invited to Sekowo to partake in the mourning process.
