In future, the Empire Magnificent and Shogunate of Sekowo will become a vast militarised, industrialised and modernised Empire. We will use the free market to bring us wealth, and with wealth build great armies and great cities to make the world recognise us again as long of the Great Imperial powers, rivalling the Holy Luthori Empire, the Pontesian Dynastic Empire and Greater Hulstria. Emperor Greets Subjects on New Years Day, Calls for "One Final Push" to End Civil War


Our Emperor called on the Imperial Army to completely crush the twin forces of the disintegrating Federalists and the insurgent leftists.

The Shogun criticizes the Oppositions plan to disarm Sekowo

The leftist Gao-Showa Kyousan-tou under Kyouno Kazuko gained the largest share of votes. Kyouno Kazuko is a likely candidate for Shogun as an Oathkeeper and Sekowo's most popular politician.

Kyousan-tou Sees Victory in First Election Since 2893



KASMENAI TEITO, Hasowar - In its first election in nearly 35 years the Gao-Showa Kyousan-tou gained a very favorable outcome, winning a tied plurality in the Gozen Kaigi with the Archonic Union of Politeia. Shortly after the party's original founding in 2884 under the leadership of Fukushima Shigeki the party briefly controlled the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and three other offices during a period when the nation was extremely fractured. New Cabinet Includes New Faces alongside Taisei Yokusankai Old Guard

The incoming Shogun, Kyouno Kazuko, has a cabinet including all the three main parties. While most ministers are new faces, old Taisei Yokusankai Generals are backing up the new government with their experience.


Most prominent among these is General Akimoto Akira, a civil war veteran and the hardline Minister of Foreign Affairs under Hidetora Ichimonji. His reappointment is a way of confirming that the new Kyousan-tou lead administration intends to keep true to the Imperial policy of the recent government, and that with Hidetora Ichimonji out of the picture, General Akimoto Akira is now the most powerful right-wing politician in Sekowo.

Q: Do you find that the popularity of the two other parties, in terms of seats, who both purposed pacifist legislation in the past, conflicts with the goverment policy of Imperial expansion?

Akimoto Akira: Sekowon people are very idealistic about peace, it is something to do with our fundamental belief in the oneness of all things, which we find in both our Buddhist and Shinto reilgions. But Sekowon people also want an Empire which reflects that oneness, that unity which is expressed in our national motto, all the world one. And while these election promises are very popular during the elections, when the hard work government begins we have to realise, as it were, that the military is essential to this Imperial Policy and people have to forget their dreams of unconditional peace awhile. In this way, Sekowons are much like people drunk <laughter> who come up with wonderful plans while drunk, but when they become sober again they face the so-called, reality.

What is your impression of Kyouno Kazuko so far?

She is polite an reasonable... for a communist.

After the Inclusion of Deulatoji (Darnland) into the Eternal Harmony and Empire Magnificent, what will the Foreign Ministry do next?

It depends on what we decide after discussing it with the new Shogun and the new Minister for Defence, but the Gozen Kaigi has overwhelmingly endorsed the restoration and expansion of the Empire. Our main difficulty is overcoming the snobbish behaviour of the big Majatran colonial Empires and the Imperial Crownlands and establish a two way dialogue. Otherwise, it may be wise for us to consider making some move against the vicious racist dictatorship in Talmoria, which is oppressing the native Asli. The old Asli Empire was a great example of how Dovani civilisation was before the coming of the colonialists, such a people should not be treated in such a fashion by these arrogant Gaijin. We also believe in establishing a stronger relationship with the Indralans.

The Archonic Union of Politeia, Sekowo's pre eminent Kapolian political organisation, has also gained many important posts, even picking up defence, which when negotiations started was assumed would go to the Taisei Yokusankai.
