MARCH 5378 | FOREIGN MINISTER AND EMIR SHOW EVIDENCE OF BAZGARI SPONSORING TERRORISM.

Wad Mabelat: Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Mutlaq el-Sulaiman announced that they had summoned the Bazgari ambassador to Palace of the Emir in Wad Mabelat to discuss the recent reckless behavior, including the recent announcement that they had struck targets in Medina; had assassinated a separatist leader and begun pursuing a more aggressive foreign policy in addition to a more aggressive military expansion. The Emir called for greater sanctions and actions against Bazgaristan and noted that should they continue to go unchecked, it will present major problems for the region. The Minister, speaking with the Emir and the Crown Prince, condemned the recent expansion of the Ahmadi Revolutionary Guard Corps which now includes a centralized intelligence agency and the recent announcement that the Bazgari government will develop a territorial militia force known as the Defenders of the Revolution. Emir Zaahir Salaah al-Madhi condemned the ARGC for sponsoring terrorism and announced that the Minan government has called Bazgaristan a "...state sponsor of terrorism."

The Emir presented evidence that elements of the Ministry of State Security, which operates the State Intelligence Agency (DISID), sponsors terrorist groups and the ARGC's Helem Force and now its centralized ARGC Intelligence Organization, has been providing funding to the Supreme Israic Council for the Ahmadi Liberation of East Dovani, which operates heavily in Nefa due to the lack of oversight during the Kitembo Union's occupation of the area. The evidence, including transactions from the Golden Crescent Bank and the Khushal Bank of the South, which are among the few private banks operating out of Bazgaristan and has branches in several Dovani states including Mina and Statrica. According to sources close to the Emir and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, they have contacted Hanzen and asked them to denounce their neutrality and get more involved in the southeast Dovani region. The Emir summoned the ambassador after giving the press conference and the announcement that Hanzen had condemned Bazgaristan.

The Crown Prince, Tariq bin Zaahir al-Madhi, who has since been named as First Deputy Prime Minister alongside the brother of the Emir, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Field Marshal Abdul Khaliq al-Mahdi and Kamaaluddeen el-Hashemi (Ba'athist); in addition he has been promoted from the rank of General in the Royal Minan Army to the rank of Field Marshal of the Royal Armed Forces of Mina. The Crown Prince, who is now in his late 30s, is being groomed for leadership and according to the Ministry of Defense has served as a front-line commander in the Royal Minan Army's 1st Armored Brigade.

JUNE 5386 | EMIR ELEVATED TO SULTAN, HEADED TO NSANLOSA FOR EDEC RUMORS.

Wad Mabelat: Emir Zaahir Salaah al-Mahdi, now 78 years old, who began his rule in March 5348 at the age of 40, was awarded an early birthday present. The Madhist in the National Assembly announced that they had cooperated with religious scholars and authorities and it had been deemed by the will of Akim, that the Emir had proven himself a potent authority of both Ahmadi and civil virtues. The Mahdist introduced an amendment to the Constitution of the Emirate of Mina which elevates the aging Emir to the Ahmadi religious and civil title of Sultan and turns the Emirate of Mina into the Sultanate of Mina. The Emir, now Sultan of Mina, welcomed the news and attended the session of the National Assembly where it was voted on and passed unanimously. The decision to elevate the Emir to that of a Sultan was debated heavily among Mahdi loyalist. It formally elevated the now-Sultan over the Emir of Quanzar, a decision not taken lightly but one that the Mahdist believe is necessary given the important leadership the Emir has given. Emir Zaahir remains wildly popular due to his recapture of most of Nefa from the Kitembo Union.

The now-Sultan underscored the importance of leadership in the region. Mina remained aloof of the recent flare-up in tensions between Istapaali and Nsanlosa, citing the nations focus on Bazgaristan, Medina and Hanzen. The Sultan and the Minan government announced he would be visiting Nsanlosa to discuss a rumored revival of the East Dovani Economic Community (EDEC) and encouraged other East Dovani states to join in. Representatives from the Royal Development Authority are expected to travel with the Sultan to further discuss the plans for the EDEC. The RDA has focused its efforts on the further development of coffee exports in Mina, leading to Mina becoming one of the worlds largest coffee exporters and becoming a tourist destination for coffee lovers across the globe. While coffee has become a staple, the offshore platform in the Sea of Carina has become a major component of the economic success of Mina. The platform, which began construction in February 5349 and was completed several years later in 5359 after delays, was followed up by another platform in March 5359 which was completed several years later.

The platforms produce approximately 350,000 bbl/day, unable to compete with the likes of other OPEN nations such as Trigunia which has achieved approximately 11m bbl/day or neighboring Ostland, which produces approximately 2.5m bbl/day. The Sultan, the Royal Development Corporation and MinaPetro are expected to announce another 3 offshore platforms in the coming weeks aimed at expanding production to approximately 750,000 to 1m bbl/day. This coincides with a massive development of an offshore oil terminal that is expected to take 5 years to complete and bring operational, giving the platform a primary export point for oil taken from the Carinan Sea.

Minan’s are expected to go the polls in the coming years for the first time since March, 5348. The Ministry of Electoral Affairs and Public Cohesion announced that they had set a tentative date for elections for January, 5390.

FEBRUARY 5389 | SULTAN AND CROWN PRINCE ARRIVE IN NSANLOSA.

Wad Mabelat: Sultan Zaahir Salaah al-Mahdi alongside Crown Prince Tariq bin Zaahir al-Madhi, who serves as the First Deputy Prime Minister and Royal Development Authority Chairman Sadoon el-Younis arrived in Haradesa earlier this morning for the first state visit between Mina and Nsanlosa in several decades. The aging Sultan met with President Harxummaa and State Counselor Hirbaa Bitoo to discuss economic cooperation, and most importantly the revival of the East Dovani Economic Community (EDEC) which will be mutually beneficial to both Mina and Nsanlosa, and other East Dovani economies. The state visit is expected to last several days and the Minan officials are looking to develop deeper regional ties with the Nsanian government as means to sure up their support in the region. The Crown Prince is expected to ask Nsanlosa for their assistance in fighting and stemming the tide of radical Ahmadism that is being supported from nations such as Bazgaristan and threaten both southern Dovani and, its expansion into East Dovani. The Sultan is also expected to make overtures to Nsanlosa for their supporting in stemming the tide of radical Ahmadism throughout the continent; largely through favorable energy-related deals. Mina is attempting to solidify itself as a major player in the oil and gas market in East Dovani, having supplies run from Mina to other nations in the EDEC could provide a massive boon to the Minan economy which has been developing along since the foundation of the Emirate, now Sultanate of Mina. Mina comes into direct competition with nations such as North Dovani, Ostland and to a lesser degree nations such as Kazulia who have dominated the oil and natural gas markets for decades. Minan upstream and downstream activities are largely based on exploration and drilling in the Sea of Carina and offshore oil platforms, which comes into direct competition with Utari Mosir which maintains oil and natural gas platforms in the Sea of Carina. The Sultan's visit is however also expected to take on the task of the East Dovani Economic Community and what it means for cooperation in the wider region as a whole.
