GAUDIN: It appears to be undeniable after the last election that the will of the citizens of Kanjor is to unify with their neighbours in a Canrillaise state. The fact that such a political position has so much support elsewhere within the Canrille Federation further indicates the historic nature of the present political climate. We have as a people a real opportunity here to achieve something our ancestors have strived for for millennia yet failed to achieve; a United Canrille.
We are currently in negotiations with other key partners within the Canrillaise Organisation and elsewhere to bring apart this dream which the Canrillaise people have hoped for for generations. It may soon be a reality and that to me is incredible.
It is this government's position that the democratic will of the people must have influence not only on the legislature but on the executive function of government; the majority of electorate agree with us. King Norbert's attempt at influencing his own Parliament to cut ties to my Party is not only absurd, but it goes against the very meaning of democracy and democratic decision making.
GAUDIN: This is a historic day in the history of Kanjor and Canrille. The dream of a united Canrille is firmly within our grasp and I hope that our comrades in the rest of the Federation proceed to join us on this path.
The military today has shown itself quite capable in the field. Its departments have shown that they are capable to work in tandem to ensure the effectiveness of the entire armed forces. I am proud of the military's prowess and look forward to continuing this governments mandate to improve our military's capabilities.
The military is ready for all possible events regarding Canrillaise unification, and the Defence Department is currently in negotiation with several other Defence Ministries throughout the Federation as to be the best way to integrate the various armed forces and to ensure they are a modern, professional fighting force which can defend the Federation from all external and internal threats.
GAUDIN: for too long the Aldurian fascist regime has been able to get away with their vile and callous actions, rejecting all calls on part of my government and the Federal Assembly to negotiate an end to their segregationist and genocidal policies. It is undeniable that the present actions committed by the regime may constitute crimes against humanity. Hence I on behalf of the Federal Government ask Rousseau one last time; end your criminal actions and turn yourself in now.
DURAND: Although the Federation continues to have faith in the capacity of the World Congress to mediate conflicts throughout Terra, their speed and decision making has alot to be desired, in this case resulting in further innocent deaths on the hands of the regime. Hence I fully support my government's actions regarding taking the Aldurian matter into their own hands.
BOISSIEU: The current situation in Noumonde is one of rising tensions, tensions which could become something far more dangerous and damaging to the impoverished nation. It is time for the colonial government to end any remaining elements of Apartheid and move towards a true democratic system, with both the Canrillaise minority and Malgy majority living in peace and building towards progress.
The concern is over the radical elements which are developing on both sides of the present political spectrum. Canrillaise nationalism, especially within the Army, appears to be growing, whilst there appears to be an increase in violent protests organised by radical left and Malgy nationalist groups. Both these developments are beginning to mask talks between the political moderates, such as within the Alliance Party, and threaten to lead to further violence and bloodshed rather than truly lead to peace and development.
