Government Unable to Ratify Kazulia Agreement after Agitated Opposition Vote No
By Nicolas Roussel
May 4239

Image
Kanjorien Foreign Affairs Minister, Tobi Moineau, was adamant about the importance of this Treaty.

The government are going to fail to pass through a ratification that would see Kanjor create further economic ties with Kazulia. Reportedly, the nation in question, who is a close ally of Rildanor, approached the government, and received a favourable response regarding the treaty. However, because the government requires a two thirds majority within the Senate for the ratification to pass, the opposition have been able to block the move.

The GPLK, who proposed the treaty as the holders of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, were in earnest about getting this bill ratified. In the opening statement by the Foreign Affairs Minster, Tobie Moineau, spoke of the tensions between Rildanor and Istalia, and how it underpinned the necessity of this treaty: "It is imperative that this treaty is enshrined by law, and is ratified. Kazulia is an ally to Rildanor, and therefore we must give her our support too, especially in light of the disgusting response given by the Istalian President regarding the Forward with Seleya campaign which will see Rildanor be given a place on the Security Council."

The Kanjor Times can report that extensive negotiations have been occurring behind the scenes after the main opposition party, the Union Populaire Democrate voted against the proposal. When asked, a GPLK spokesperson refused to comment on the matter, but did not rule anything out, "The government believes that this treaty is vital, and we will do our utmost to achieve that. That being said, I naturally cannot comment on any possible conversations between parties related to this matter."

This dispute within the Senate comes after further tensions between Istalia and Rildanor. Whilst no open punches have been made since M. Moineau's damning attack on Istalia, several subtle jabs have been made during the Hutori President's state visit to Rildanor. As tension rises on the international, the government must be quite annoyed at the nuisance that the opposition is causing back at home. Without a shadow of a doubt, the GPLK's main focus after getting into government has been international affairs, yet this may now come back to bite them, as they have neglected the Senate for too long. Only time will tell whether they will be able to muster up the support they need to continue with their internationalist agenda.

L'Héraut: United Empire Loyalist leader Saint-Martin dies unexpectedly!

Image
Funeral for Abbot Nicholas de Saint-Martin.

Soulon-A shock ran through the political community of Kanjor, or at least for those who were aware. The small coalition, Loyaliste de l'Empire-Uni, is hoping for seats in the Senate in the next election, however, it has suffered a severe blow when its founding member, Abbot Nicholas de Saint-Martin, died unexpectedly of a heart attack shortly after officiating a wedding in rural Martois where the coalition is based.

Who will rise to lead this obscure political movement? It appears that the reins have been taken by Carmen Viviane Bombelles-Bouchard. Mdm Bombelles-Bouchard, 34, could not be a polar opposite of Saint-Martin. Whereas the Abbot was loud, bombastic, and outspoken, Bombelles-Bouchard is charming, subtle, and charismatic.

Bombelles-Bouchard is a school teacher who volunteers in her spare time for the cause. How she juggles her work load, political activism, and being a mother of three is anyone's guess. Her husband, Thibaud Gerard Bouchard, owns a bakery in the small market town of Château-Peuton.

Will this untested, novice school teacher be able to rise to the test of national politics?

Press Release:

Let me start by offering my condolences to the family and relatives of Mr. Saint-Martin, a truly inspiring leader and politician that believed in good ideals and fought to improve his country. I personally did not know this man on a personal level, but it pains me every time I hear that a renowned person, especially when being a father, husband, great friend and loving person to many I'm sure, leaves the world far too early. So I offer my sincere condolences.

My friends, I've decided to parttake in the official silent minute, held in Mr. Saint-Martin's hometown by the town's residents. I'm going to go there as a sign of my great respect for Mr. Saint-Martin and as a compassionate human that feels our nation has lost an important person.

Thank you very much, that will conclude it for today.

SLP Press release:

Mustafa Kemal II: We would like to offer our condolences to PHC-ADCC and to the family of the party leader M. Saint-Martin.

As our opinions were different, we shared our passion for politics and changing the world to our view. M. Saint-Martin was a big politician and will be remembered in our senate. He was full of passion in his debates but always stayed fair.

Therefore I call all my colleagues of the senate to respect 1 minute of silence next time we gather in the senate.

May god bless Mister Saint-Martin.

Mustafa Kemal II retires from his ambt after dead of his rival colleague Mister Saint - Martin.

Party leader Mustafa Kemal (SLP) decided to resign his ambt and to retire from politics after next elections, saying the following:

I'm aware I'm only getting older (currently 64), I really need to enjoy life more as it comes. Working is not the only thing that counts. That's why I decided to resign as party leader from SLP and start enjoying my pension. I want to thank all the people who voted for me.

An elections is going to be held in a few days, to elect a new leader. Adnan Menderez and Justin Tredo are the 2 favorites to become the new Party leader.

L'Héraut: Bombelles-Bouchard goes on charm offensive

Image
United Empire Loyalist chairwoman Carmen Viviane Bombelles-Bouchard interviewed in popular morning show "Bonjour, bonjour!"

Soulon - 20 April 4240

Not long ago, the death of Abbot Nicholas Saint-Martin left the United Empire Loyalists movement leaderless and scrambling. Oddly enough, Saint-Martin's death may have turned into a positive "shout out" for the previously unnoticed LEU. This morning, K2's program Bonjour, bonjour! invited the LEI's Chair and Spokeswoman Carmen Viviane Bombelles-Bouchard to comment on movement's progress since their leader's death.

Mdm. Bombelles-Bouchard, who apparently likes to simply go by "Viviane", genuinely charmed hosts Augustin Ponce and Pauline Coulomb. In what was slated to be a five-minute interview turned into a fifteen-minute long showcase of Bombelles-Bouchard. Instead of talking politics, Ponce and Coulomb listened and inquired as Mdm. Bombelles-Bouchard discussed her immediate family, her Hosian faith, and even her pet terrier Cici. The chemistry that Bombelles-Bouchard had with the morning show anchors was palpable as they laughed in turn as each told humorous and heartwarming tales of their loved-ones.

The subject moved on to the formation of the United Empire Loyalists where the interviewee explained how it had started in, of all place, a barn in rural Martois when Bombelles-Bouchard's father, Pierre-Louis Bombelles, had called a meeting of his neighbors to discuss the coming wheat harvest. This innocent meeting had quickly turned into a general gripe about the direction of the country and the disdain that rural people felt had been thrown their direction by the ruling parties. Simply put, they felt ignored and decided to do something about it.

Ratings have shown that the morning show drew higher ratings than previous weeks and video segments of the message have been shared several million times on social media. The cities and countryside seem to be abuzz with Bombelles-Bouchard's tome. In the end, as terrible as it sounds, Mdm. Carmen Viviane Bombelles-Bouchard may owe Abbé Nicholas Saint-Martin a thank you for his untimely death.

Re: Kanjor Times: Justin Tredo new party leader OF SLP.

Postby TheSocialist » Wed Jul 12, 2017 4:24 pm

Justin Tredo elected as Party leader with a small majority

Justin Tredo is the new party leader of SLP, as it is confirmed by the party. Justin is replacing Mustafa Kemal who resigned earlier as party leader. Mustafa Kemal stays in office as president till after elections.

The 41 year old Justin is chosen with 53% of the votes. Adnan Menderez only got 47% of the votes.
Adnan is a great politician and won't be disappointed with my election. I want to thank al the members of our party for their vote and I promise to do everything to win the upcoming elections!

As political analists say the coalition with GPLK will be kept alive. The 2 progressive parties are very close and this won't change their relationship. As we know Justin and Edmond (Lambert) have a very good understanding.

Les Temps Economiques: Huge Investment awaiting in La Tondel

Postby TheSocialist » Wed Jul 12, 2017 6:12 pm

Walter Baffut will invest in series of hotels
La Tondelle is first city to enjoy investments

After a series of talks and negotiations with minister of Internal Affairs Gregory Ghislain, we came to an agreement. As the coast of La Tondelle, isn't attracting many tourists anymore this could use a boost.

Gregory Ghislain :
We are expecting this to be a huge success on multiple areas. This investment will create jobs and will make Kanjor attractive to foreign tourists with financial succes to our businesses
.

The amount of the investment will be around 3.500.000 KRP, though this is not confirmed.

Walter Baffut :
La Tondelle is a testfase for our hotels. We want this to be a huge success. We'll be investing in 35 hotels. There were 14 vacant buildings in Belford and 21 in Deims. Hotelcomplexes that faced bankruptcy. We bought those buildings and are going to renovate those buildings so they fulfill high standards.

Socialist Liberal minister Gregory Ghislain is expecting an increase of tourism around 15 to 20 %. After 1 year we will evaluate the situation and hopefully we can convince Mister Baffut to invest in some more hotels in Kanjor.

L'Héraut: Edmond Lambert praises Mustafa Kemal II as a "great friend, person, and leader."
By Nicolas Roussel

Edmond Lambert praised Mustafa Kemal as a great man as the President renounced his retirement from politics. In a conference he spoke of their amazing partnership that has seen their two parties break the same old conservative fashion and implement a new progressive era:
"Mustafa is a brilliant, brilliant guy. I know people like the PHC-ADCC have spent many sessions criticising his party for not being patriotic; but I challenge you to find one more dedicated and committed to his country. He has created a new Kanjorien age, and I shall endeavour, in all my political career from here on in, to maintain the country that he reformed and to cast away those who want to destroy it."

Lambert also talked about the new party leader Justin Tredo:
"I wish to congratulate Justin on his election victory. It was a close result, but I am sure that someone who is stable such as him will be able to get his party, and his country to rally around him. Further, I look forward to working with him within the next Kanjorien cabinet, where together we can help spread the prosperous progressive message of choice, and free ourselves from government tyranny and regulation."
