Medinat Dpt. attempts to assuage concerns by Davostag and Selucia
August 5472

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - The Head of the Medinat Department Sneakyeth Avodi confirmed in a press conference earlier this morning that the Beiteynuese Government was indeed in contact with Davostag to explore military related scenarios. However, Mr. Avodi instead focused on responding to Rikspresident Wilhelm Jörgen's earlier statements on considering the Kohav's issuance of an Azhara to Kasaema as a threat to Kundrati's own sovereignty.

We applaud Davostag for standing firmly and clearly in support of its ally; this is what alliances actually look like.

On behalf of the Homeland State of Beiteynu, I would like to assuage the Rikspresident's concerns that the Azhara is a purely defensive doctrine issued as a response to something Beiteynu considers threatening to the Yeudi People and or their interests.

We simply had no alternative - we had no intelligence and no communications coming out of Kasaema. Despite Kundrati's recent precarious decisions in enforcing maritime security zones and arming up anti-ballistic weapons systems, they were a 200-year-old ally 5 minutes ago; they are even a signatory of JAMS.

Imagine our surprise when their naval fleets began descending to Selucia, a state for which we have the outmost respect and have continuously honoured their neutrality and choice to steer away from the MSCO, for more than 150 years now.

Relations with Selucia have always been amicable; and we have never involved ourselves in their business, even when Deltaria rerouted Kundrati away.

It is our hope that we continue to maintain our channels with Davostag, since Kundrati has withdrawn.

When asked about the state of the Beikun Alliance, he responded in a raised tone:

There is no alliance.

We would have accepted Kasaema distancing itself or avoiding directly answering the mutual defence clause, just as N&D did, of course.

But, what we can't accept is having to worry about our sovereignty from our own goddamn ally!

Mr. Avodi also remarked upon Bannerhafen's recent decision to distance itself from Yishelem:

While we do understand the precautions from our allies to the north, we have been reassuring them to our outmost ability that the Homeland State of Beiteynu does not maintain nuclear weapons nor is it looking to attain any kind of nuclear weaponry.

Beiteynu will continue to defer to Bannerhafen's tactical command insofar as the Migrant's Pass and the JAMS agreement are concerned.

In attempting to confront the additional unknown variables from Kasaema, the Beiteynuese Naval Command decided to maintain the patrolling position of the Tafsik CSG northwest of Selucia towards the Migrant's Pass, also re-tasking the Kasari CSG to the north of Badara, both as flanking deterrents.

Evidently, the BNC's decision to split 2 CSGs from the Esh Carrier Battle Group currently engaged in the Sea of Lost Souls proved fatal.

When confronted by multiple journalists about the devastating loss of the BEINS Reshout (Authority) aircraft carrier, he deflected:

[..] we're at war, we're at war.

Destruction of BEINS Reshout aircraft carrier marks devastating loss
September 5472

Image

Bier Qassem, Badara - The loss of the Lourennais-made aircraft carrier and jewel of the Reshout (Authority) CSG of the Yeudi Fleet represents a devastating and potentially non-recoverable loss for the Beiteynuese Defence Force; a result of the "Kundratijan Blunder" that led the Kohav (Military Command) to retask half of the Esh Carrier Battle Group away from the ongoing conflict in the Sea of Lost Souls, in an effort to deter unknowns by Beiteynu's former ally.

Beiteynuese and Lourennais forces alike have placed a temporary ceasefire to rescue the thousands of Beiteynuese sailors.

In the meantime, Beiteynuese and MSCO forces are in disarray, withdrawing further to Badara's EEZ.

BREAKING: Witnesses report multiple launches of missiles in the Desert Bank
September 5472

Valdheym, Beiteynu - We have been receiving reports and videos from witnesses that multiple missiles have been lighting the night sky, heading eastward to great altitude. We can only surmise that Beiteynu has launched Yeudicho ICBMs; with contents and targets unknown.

The world holds its breath, as Yishelem makes a move in the dark.

Nationwide protests turn violent as war wages on after devastating ICBM attack
December 5472

Image

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Beiteynuese Police has been overrun in most major cities all across the country, with protesters attempting to advance on government buildings and demand that the Jacobstone Administration "end the war with our brothers" and resign. Although the already low support in favour of the hostilities with Lourenne has been plummeting rapidly, the deployment of the Second Royal Fleet from Lourenne after the devastating ICBM attack leaves no room for the Beiteynuese Government to back down, especially as the Emergency Secretary-General continues to rally MSCO member states to "push back".

A perimeter has been established around the Kundratijan embassy in Yishelem, after protesters began switching from throwing eggs on the building's walls and windows to using molotovs that set various parts of the embassy compound on fire.

An increasing number of Beiteynuese seem to rally in anger against Kundrati for "costing Beiteynu the war".

Rise in debt defaults strikes Tel Bira
January 5473

Image

Tel Bira, Beiteynu - The economic ripple effect from across more than 20 nations in the Yeudish Neset has reached and struck Tel Bira; the network's beating heart and the commercial hub of Beiteynuese presence in international markets.

In an emergency press conference, the Head of the Olami (Worldwide) Trade Association opened with the following statement:

Beiteynu has always been a hub of international Yeudish and non-Yeudish capital.

Every time we signed a deal with a country, the floodgates of Yeudish money from all the countries in the Yeudish Neset opened. Signing a deal with Yishelem meant trading with everybody who traded in the network already, in an entangled web of commercial relations.

A lemon from Gaduridos goes to Beiteynu, to Kundrati, to Luthori, to Istalia, to Dankuk.

We have always managed to carry on the debt of additional expenditure domestically by relying on that exact network of primetime industries that kept constantly growing and funnelling Yeudish and non-Yeudish capital through Beiteynu.

As you can understand, trade and trade routes represent the core of the Yeudish Neset.

And these have been disrupted in a monumental manner.

When asked about the biggest points of impact, she responded:

Southern trade routes via the Sea of Lost Souls - that was our primarily pillar in recent decades for trade with the Canrillaise. Granted, there have always been routes via northern Seleya with Kundrati and Dankuk sitting at the heart of that line, but you can understand costs have been skyrocketing.

Trade via the Aldegarian Canal has been cautious, especially after the seizure of seats from Kirlawa.

Kundrati's implosion has been devastating.

On whether Ashalon Bank BEIFG will be able to weather the storm as a global player, she replied:

That doesn't matter.

The financial institution in question is tied to both Kundratijan and Lourennais capital; both currencies are suffering and investor confidence has all but vanished. And the bank is connected to the rest of the "Big Three"; it's an inevitable cascading effect to the entire industry, which essentially fuels everything in the network.

No question about it; we will bail out both Ashalon Bank BEIFG and Tomasadyn National if the need arises.

It is our hope that Kasaema and Eroncourt will work on this with us, even via intermediary channels.

On the Vamaj, she remarked:

The network itself is weathering the storm just fine; Yeudish shipping is what's suffering, from the close calls and plummets in Kundrati and Badara, including but not limited to the dip in Aldegarian confidence in the industry.

In her closing remarks, she confirmed Yishelem's ongoing talks with Bannerhafen in leveraging the Bannerpakt to stabilise a military economy:

The defence and technology industries are essentially the Equifund, let's face it.

Its gains have been exponential with global armaments across the world, but it represents yet another industry that is based on international capital - it was created that way in the first place by Keren Shlomo.

Local manufacturing, hardware production and shipbuilding are almost non-existent in Beiteynu; we rely on partners in the Yeudish Neset.

As such, we seek to work with Bannerhafen within the confines of the Bannerpakt to explore regional investments across both countries, with minimum interests and multiple loan payments enforced by both governments, to capitalise on the momentum provided by a war economy.

MOD issues 2nd Azhara to 'rogue' Kundrati
The Minister of Defence used harsh tones to define what was our ally once.
January 5473

YISHELEM, ENDILD - Shortly after an announcement made by the Lourennais press, the Minister of Defence immediately went on national TV a while ago calling out the warmongering efforts of the Kundrati Union, who allowed and assisted the Lourennais Navy to pass the Aldegarian Pass in order to, supposedly, 'flank' MSCO and Beiteynuese ships, fighting against the imperialist terror of Lourenne looming over the continent. Considering the action of what he called the 'rougue' nation of Kundrati, the MOD decided to issue an Azhara to it, amounting to number 2, describing Kundrati's action as lesive of Beiteynuese sovereignty and directly threatening of the MSCO, and therefore, Majatran integrity.
He then went to attack personally the leaders of Kundrati:
We must understand, Terra must understand, that we're dealing with a nation primarily led by weak opportunists, and not strong leaders.

Adding that the Kundrati action might also jeopardize collective security in Artania, as it looks even more day by day, that Kundrati is determined to enter the conflict against our Homeland, therefore putting their continent in danger.

Yeudish shipping titan Petrik Hadayot collapses
February 5473

Sholemberg, Beiteynu - The Seleyan based conglomerate has filed for bankruptcy in a total of 11 Seleyan and Majatran countries, following the closure of the Aldegarian Canal to affiliated shipping companies of the Yeudish Neset, including Petrik Hadayot. The added strain following the complete halting of the company's maritime trade routes in the south from the ongoing naval engagement between Beiteynu and Lourenne proved to be insurmountable.

While several of its assets, including the extensive licenses procured in Valruzia decades ago, will be handed over to respective Seleyan countries as part of the bankruptcy proceedings per each legislature, Artanian based Birco and Passschiffe AG will be acquiring a number of vessels to enhance their own fleets.

Signalling the end of Yeudish commercial dominance in Seleyan shipping, the Medinat Department has added Aldegar to the Reshimat Hara, the infamous "Yeudi Shitlist" that essentially results in the complete cessation of diplomacy and Yeudish commerce with the countries in it.

Deputy Head of the Medinat Department stated the following:

Aldegar's clear alignment with Lourenne and Yingdala and the seizure of international assets as in the case of Kirlawa is a testament to the rogue nature of a country in control of an important trade passage. The Homeland State of Beiteynu will, as such, no longer deal with a state holding such unchecked power.

We advise the international community to move away from engaging in commerce with a country that seems set to surprise everyone, at every turn.

Beiteynu is also likely to join the international sanctions instigated by Bannerhafen against Aldegar.

Navy mobilises to meet Lourennais-Kundratijan fleets in northeast Majatra
February 5473

Image

Himmelshtern, Beiteynu - Sirens have echoed across the valleys of Mt. Bermon in the city of Himmelshtern as the Beiteynuese Naval Command has signalled the rapid deployment of the Yeudi and Lekavot Fleets in response to the arrival of the Second Royal Fleet via the Aldegarian Canal.

The Yeudi Fleet's notorious 7th and 4th Flotillas of Horizon-class destroyers and Petya-class frigates from Sholemberg, that have historically protected the waters of the Migrant's Pass, will be accompanying the entire Lekavot Fleet from Himmelshtern of more than 20 warships to meet up with the Tafsik Carrier Strike Group that is currently patrolling the area northeast of Selucia towards the South Ocean.

Eventually both fleets will rendezvous with the Kasari Carrier Strike Group from north Badara with the intend to face off the surprise deployment of the Second Royal Fleet of Lourenne, which is currently being aided by Kundratijan naval forces.

The MSCO has been put on the highest level of alert, with the 1st front still ongoing in the Sea of Lost Souls; with both the Nahshol Carrier Strike Group and Badaran and CMRF forces still engaged with Lourennais forces in the southeast.

Both the Kohav (Military Command) and the Beiteynuese Naval Command have coordinated with Bannerhafen and re-tasked several warships from the Hofesh Fleet in the southwest to aid N&D in securing a barrier. An unknown number of nuclear submarines have also been re-tasked to the Migrant's Pass.

"The Migrant's Pass must not fall", was the closing statement of the Naval Chief.

BREAKING: BEINS Kasari carrier destroyed in agonising defeat
March 5473

Himmelshtern, Beiteynu - The Kasari CSG that was already in place northeast of Badara has suffered a devastating blow from the surprise deployment of the Lourennais Second Royal Fleet with the BEINS Kasari aircraft carrier critically damaged and sinking. The flanking battle that took place had the Lourennais and Kundratijan battle formation with the element of surprise, completely overwhelming the exposed Beiteynuese fleet.

A significant amount of air raids on both sides, although resulting in damages to both fleets, led to a Lourennais domination of the skies, upon which ensued a bombardment of the Beiteynuese fleet, leading to all of its ships either damaged or completely destroyed.

Kundratijan forces, being part of the Lourennais formation, were caught in the crossfire; they then proceeded to engage the Beiteynuese fleet directly.

With thousands and thousands of sailors at sea and smoke visible from the western coasts of Seleya, Rosh HaMemshala Patrick Jacobstone has been calling for an immediate ceasefire, "before this war consumes and destroys us all".

Reinforcements were, sadly, too late.
