Tel Bira, Beiteynu - MOFIN's Keren Shlomo visited Tikkun Haganah's corporate headquarters in Tel Bira this week, to celebrate the Equifund's 6 year anniversary. Tikkun Haganah, a major receiver of Equifund capital from the agreement's signatory nations, confirmed that their leadership is indeed in talks with the government of Valruzia (an Equifund benefactor) for the purpose of obtaining a series of defense contracts on the purchase of specific military equipment, particularly small arms, artillery and transportation.

Tikkun Haganah has already released the Galil automatic weapon (sold at 1.375 LOD per item) and will be releasing the M71 Artillery (to be sold at 2.5M LOD per item) in the next couple of years, with the M462 following right after by the end of this decade.

Yasmin Keshet Elected Prime Minister of Beiteynu
Keshet Administration to Focus Heavily on International Agenda

Image
Yasmin Keshet, Prime Minister of Beiteynu

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Following former PM of Beiteynu Yaron Tzafrir's announcement of stepping down, Yasmin Keshet took the reigns of HH and campaigned heavily on an international agenda for Beiteynu, prior to 5234's elections. Although turnover to the polls hit a record low over the last 40 years, Keshet's mandate was received with positivity and hope by the Beiteynuese people, thus being elected as the new Head of State of Beiteynu.

The Keshet Administration will focus heavily on an international agenda, with the Equifund Agreement, the Intelligence Pact and the Tactical Bureau of Intelligence taking center stage, as the latter prepares to release its switchboard on the Terran Wide Web. Sources confirm that the newly elected PM has already met with both ministers for Internal Affairs and Defense, as Yasmin Keshet prepares to double-down on the progress made by her predecessors over the last 34 years.

HOG Congratulates Vicente Cozumel of Gaduridos
Also: Government forwards its Condolences on the Passing of King Christian III of Davostag-Kivonia

Yishelem, Beiteynu - The office of the Head of Government issued a statement earlier this week, congratulating Vicente Cozumel of Gaduridos on his landslide victory. "We find the new government of Gaduridos and their domestic agenda to be of immense value and benefit for the people of Gaduridos, as the Cozumel Administration proceeds to modernise and update the nation's infrastructure", Chief of Staff to the PM Cathy Aristocrat stated during this morning's press conference, "we hope that Mr. Cozumel does not isolate Gaduridos from the robustness of the international arena and we look forward to potential diplomatic talks with the MOFA of Beiteynu towards establishing base relations between our two nations with the ratification of the Beiteynu Accord of Diplomacy", she concluded, declining to comment on follow-up questions "at this time".

The Knesset observed a 1-minute silence in solidarity with the people of Davostag-Kivonia - a nation with which Beiteynu has maintained diplomatic relations since the ratification of the Beiteynu Accord of Diplomacy in 5207 - in regards to King Christian III's passing. The office of the Head of Government expressed its condolences to the people of Davostag-Kivonia, as well as to the newly appointed King Oscar IV, the former King's son. "We stand with the people of Davostag-Kivonia in these sad times and hope that the new King will not hesitate to reach out to Beiteynu at any point", the Chief of Staff to the PM commented.

MOFA Comments on Situation in Suyu Llaqta

Tel Bira, Beiteynu - During a joint visit to Tel Bira Aerospace Corporation's headquarters with the MOD, MOFA's Eliana Aristocrat was asked to comment on the Beiteynuese government's stance towards the ongoing situation in Suyu Llaqta. "While the situation is heartbreaking, we have a responsibility towards the international stage and especially to our partners in Istalia, Likatonia, as well as to the World Congress, thus we shall remain impartial and neutral for the time being", she commented, adding "we are also aware that the Agency has increased its operations in the continent towards gathering further intelligence".

The office of the HOG declined to comment.

MOFIN Introduces Budget of 5237
New Spending to Boost Equifund for Defense and Technology

Image
Ministry of Finance (MOFIN), Beiteynu

Yishelem, Beiteynu - The newly introduced budget of 5237 to the Knesset will "balance out the deficit created by the recent decrease of the essential goods tax from 24% to 18%", MOFIN's Keren Shlomo stated, adding "thus creating a surplus to be used by the Equifund Agreement, as we see the defense and technology industries steadily rising over the last ten years. We want to ensure it keeps happening and more businesses take advantage of a continuous stream of international capital". The Equifund recently surpassed the mark of 2B LOD in investments towards defense and technology companies in Beiteynu.

The recent decrease of the essential goods tax from 24% to 18% is a follow-up of the Keshet Administration to the austerity policies enacted over the previous 30 years by subsequent Tzafrir Administrations, as the national economy had entered a steady flow of expansion and growth in the last 8 years, economists state. The Keshet Administration will soon be introducing an extensive reform of taxation for businesses - in conjunction with an updated spending budget, as sources at the MOFIN confirm that both the MOFIN and MOFA are in talks with multiple nations towards the creation of an international accord of trade and business.

Amongst the rising giants of Equifund benefactors are Tikkun Haganah, with the Aristocrat Insurance Ltd. of Kalopia and AUDISS of Istalia investing heavily, Keshet Systems specialising in electronics and electronic warfare, Tel Bira Aerospace Corporation - which recently showcased the new IBAE-400 with AUDISS and is expected to make an announcement on the new aircraft - Aristocrat Military Technologies, a subsidiary of conglomerate Aristocrat Insurance Ltd. and the Tzafrir Defense Industries, a child of late Baruch Lea Tzafrir founded in 5211.

MOFIN's Strategic Office of Economic Planning will be designated as the go-to office to keep track of long-term economic policy.

Address by PM Yasmin Keshet Marks 40 Years of Reforms
"Back in the Game"

Image
PM of Beiteynu Yasmin Keshet, Knesset

Yishelem, Beiteynu - PM of Beiteynu Yasmin Keshet addressed the Knesset today, in a celebratory mark of Beiteynuese reforms enacted by the Tzafrir Administration 40 years ago. The address comes shortly after the HOG launched an initiative towards rebuilding gov.bei through a joint task force with the MOIA, MOFIN and MOIT, following the work of both Tzafrir Administrations (Baruch & Yaron) towards government restructure, increased accessibility for the citizens of Beiteynu and digitisation in this new era of information availability and exchange initiated by the Terran Wide Web.

The PM initially focused on celebrating Beiteynu's exit from a period of almost 30 years of strict austerity, to combat the nation's corruption and mismanagement of finances, including Beiteynu's severe isolation from the international stage. Yasmin Keshet has been praised continuously on her work as the Tzafrir Administration's MOFA in pursuing, introducing and promoting the Beiteynu Accord of Diplomacy, which helped Beiteynu establish solid relations with more than 25 nations across Terra, thus allowing the Beiteynuese government to become involved in brokering third-party deals for the benefit of its friends and partners, including but not limited to the Treaty on establishment of Majatran Security and Diplomacy Council, the Treaty Establishing the Seleyan and Artanian Development and Intervention Council, the Istalian Accord of Diplomacy and so forth.

She thanked Ariel Tzafrir for his service on the Security Council of the World Congress, under whose leadership Beiteynu's nominations worldwide spiked, as international trust and confidence in Beiteynu has been steadily increasing.

Yasmin Keshet also emphasised the importance of the Intelligence Pact and Beiteynu's active participation towards establishing the Terran Remediation Agency's intelligence presence in more than 30 nations worldwide, including transforming the organisation into an international entity of significant influence in a period of 30 years, with headquarters currently operating in 6 nations, including Istalia, Beiteynu's rising defense and technology ally. The PM personally thanked the sitting General Director of the Agency, Cunnington Marit, in her address, for his calm towards the face of multiple crises, including Baruch's assassination.

She vowed that the government of Beiteynu will be honouring the interests of signatory nations of the Majatran Security & Diplomacy Council and made a promise to further pursue the avenues and opportunities enacted by the Trans-Majatran Corridors Network, although she expressed her worry about Jelbania and Kalopia's isolationist tendencies but was invigorated by the presence and collective demeanour of both Selucia and Istalia, Beiteynu's active partners.

While diplomacy remains center stage for the Keshet Administration, the government will be focusing with much more intensity on the soon to be drafted Accord of Trade & Business, inspired by the great afluence and success witnessed by the recently founded Dorvish Trade Office of the Federal Trade Association in par with the Dorvish Trade Association and Economic Pact, also expanding on the pathways created by the Equifund Agreement, which surpassed the 2B LOD mark of international investment capital from private entities of 10 different nations - out of an initial 500M LOD provided by the government of Beiteynu - towards defense and technology corporations in Beiteynu, which have seen immense growth since the initiative's launch. The PM stated that the government's goal is to enter a stage of economically partnering up with Beiteynu's current allies over the course of the next 15 - 30 years.

To that extend, in energy and the nation's longstanding tradition, the Keshet Administration will be introducing the NUCLEOBEI Agreement, as a follow-up to the Nuclear Power Act of 5228, a 132B LOD project that is now entering its final decade (until 5250), with the Aristocrat Energetical from the private sector picking up the heavy mantle - a subsidiary of conglomerate Aristocrat Insurance Ltd. of Kalopia, thus enacting the Tzafrir Administration's long-term plan of initiating the export of nuclear power produced in Beiteynu to nations in Majatra. To further ensure the stability of energy production, the government of Beiteynu will be pursuing and brokering 2 additional agreements: the SILEN and URAEN, focusing on silicon and uranium producing nations, with the Beiteynuese government directly assisting signatory nations towards logistics and worldwide export of these resources.

Yasmin Keshet wrapped up her address by thanking the Beiteynuese people for their stamina and faith, as well as Beiteynu's friends and especially partners for their support towards Beiteynu and belief towards an international Terra for all.

Beiteynu Enters into Talks with Barmenistan
Analysts Consider Relations with the Communist Union "Controversial"

Yishelem, Beiteynu - Sources at the MOFA have confirmed that the government of Beiteynu has entered into diplomatic talks with officials from the Communist Union of Barmenistan, which experts assume will gain power in the upcoming elections of 5241 (which might be completed earlier). While the move is not entirely unprecedented as the Keshet Administration is following along the lines of the previous Tzafrir Administration's foreign affairs agenda of internationalisation - additionally with Barmenistan bordering Beiteynu to the south - analysts have criticised the government for engaging with an ideologically opposite entity.

MOFA's Chief of Staff commented that the State of Beiteynu will always engage in diplomacy, regardless of ideology.

Discussions revolve around the Beiteynu Accord of Diplomacy, the upcoming Accord of Trade & Business and possibly the Intelligence Pact, helping Beiteynu pursue its agenda of solidifying stability in the northern region of Majatra - with Selucia's presence already factoring towards that stability. MOIT's spokesperson also commented that any diplomatic relations with Barmenistan might also help promote the upcoming NUCLEOBEI Agreement and Beiteynu's future attempts to export nuclear power to nations in the broader continent of Majatra.
