GRÆNNHÖFN, C.U. – Recently Kundrati, one of the allied nations and friends of Telamon, suffered a military intervention by Deltaria, a year after the event, the Grænnhöfnartímarnir collects the reflections of the most important political figures during what happened in Kundrati.

The first of the messages on the social network Witter was from former State President Svölnir Jónarsson, who reiterated his support for Urizar Zabalbeascoa

State President Enja Waltersdóttir made it clear that she would like to pay a visit to the Transition Council to discuss the more than beneficial relationship between Telamon and Kundrati and that she would like to send observers to help with the Transition Council.


At the 49th General Assembly of the World Congress, both Óliver Styrmisson and Danival Ölnisson agreed that they were not opposed to change in Kundrati and called for condemnation of the military action taken by Kundrati. For his part, Ölnisson called on the members of the World Congress to propose a dialogue between Kundrati and Deltaria, and to give assistance to the parties affected by the military intervention in Kundrati.

For now, Kundrati is experiencing a tense calm, while in the General Assembly of the World Congress the members are discussing how to solve this international problem.

Chancellery of the Confederation announces trial against Wilhelmsson and associates.

GRÆNNHÖFN, C.U. - Today, the Chancellor of the Confederation Hallmann Marelsson announced the trial of former State President Alfons Wilhelmsson and his associates. So far only Wilhelmsson and Skorri Drengsson, one of his associates, were arrested at the Eldarsdóttir - Grænnhöfn International Airport, however his other associate, Alan Valsson III, was able to escape without being detected or arrested by the airport authorities. His whereabouts are currently unknown.

In November 4854, a few months after Alfons Wilhelmsson was re-elected, the then Minister of Internal Affairs and current President of the Confederation, Kraki Júlísson, discovered that Wilhelmsson was receiving funds from shell companies created by him and two associates, these being Skorri Drengsson, son of businessman Benedikt Drengsson, and Alan Valsson III, son of the founder of Telamonic Airlines, Alan Valsson Jr., commonly known as Alan Valsson. In addition to the before mentioned, Júlísson had discovered that during the 2nd government of Svölnir Jónarsson, the then State President was suspicious of Wilhelmsson's activities, so much so that the Sjálfstjórnarþings withdrew its confidence in the Minister of Economy 3 times in just one year, calling him to trial those three times, however by then Wilhelmsson had been saved from being tried for corruption.

By the time Wilhelmsson was re-elected State President, the entire cabinet was beginning to suspect the luxuries Wilhelmsson brought to the Cabinet meetings, what money he could buy them with, and how he got them were the questions that the 13 cabinet members plus State Vice President Ann Sveinsdóttir asked, In November 4854, a few months after his re-election, he was removed from office and replaced by State Vice President Ann Sveinsdóttir. The impeachment resulted in the drafting of a new constitution and the proclamation of the Confederation of Telamon.

With Chancellor Marelsson's announcement, the Ministry of Justice announced that the trial will take place when Alan Valsson III is found and arrested, meanwhile Wilhelmsson and Drengsson are in Vesturland Central Prison, awaiting trial for corruption.

The Memorial Project breaks Telamon box office records

GRÆNNHÖFN, C.U. - Nikolai Alexsson's sci-fi film has been a total success both at the box office and with national critics.

The Memorial Project is Hrafnbergsson Brothers Pictures' new film, directed and written by Nikolai Alexsson in his directorial debut. Prior to writing and directing this film, Alexsson had created the award-winning TV series Guerrilla, which is broadcast by Tælmörkcast. Alexsson had begun writing The Memorial Project some time before the 2nd season of his award-winning television series. For this, Alexsson decided not to make a movie with the theme of a political drama in the style of his series, but to make an epic science fiction adventure based on the world of aerospace. Already when Guerrilla was in the middle of its second season, Alexsson presented the script to Hrafnbergsson Brothers studios where the production was given the green light, Alexsson was requested to write a new version of the script, which is the version seen in the film.

The plot follows the story of the crew of a spaceship that was sent on a mission to a distant space station, however a rift in the path they were following causes the ship to get lost in another galaxy, causing the crew to look for a way to return to the galaxy they came from. The story of the film is very captivating, is very well written and does not make you get lost in important points of the film, the characters also convey their emotions magnificently making the viewer feel more connected to the story. Although the story is one of the strongest points of the film, the visual effects created by Lara Harradóttir make the film a visual spectacle, the film score composed by Gjúki Brynleifsson, who also composes Guerrilla's score, makes the film feel like you're living it. We do not leave out the editing done by Ljótur Hervarðsson and the cinematography of Nikanor Gumason, both are excellent.

The film debuted in this year's edition of the Grænnhöfn Film Festival where it was part of the official selection, winning the awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Film Score, however it lost in the category of Best Film to Instant Dance, the musical biopic of Telamonic rock icon Jes Hansson. At the Suðureyja Critics' Circle Awards, one of the most important awards in Telamon cinema after the Institute Award (known as the Ulricks), the film won in 4 of the 7 categories to which it was nominated, including: Best Film, Best Director, Best Film Score and Best Screenplay. Alexsson and the production team have submitted a ''For your consideration'' letter to the National Film and Television Institute (RKOGS for its acronym in Skjöldunga) for the Ulrick Awards which are the awards that recognize excellence in filmmaking at Telamon, to participate in several categories including Best Film and Best Screenplay.

When asked about his upcoming projects, Alexsson declared that the end of his series, Guerrilla, will be a movie that will be released for QuikStream, Tælmörkcast's new streaming platform. Alexsson also revealed that Guerrilla will also be on the platform, but that there will be re-runs at Tælmörkcast.

The Grænnhöfn International Film Festival receives its first submissions

GRÆNNHÖFN, C.U. - We are very close to the realization of the 1st Grænnhöfn International Film Festival, today Telamon and Endralon submitted the films to be presented in the first edition of the Festival.

The films that were presented today to the Organizing Committee of the Festival come from Telamon and Endralon and vary from the type of genre and plot, the Telamon film is The Memorial Project, filmed in 4873, The Memorial Project had a very limited run in the selected cinemas across Telamon in 4874, however with the realization of the GIFF, the film may finally be released in all cinemas both nationally and internationally. The production company of the film, Hrafnbergsson Brothers Pictures, has been in talks with the LGT Group to be its international distributor, while Hrafnbergsson Brothers will distribute the film in Telamon and maintain the rights of the film. Endralon's film is The Colonizer, a historical drama made by the LTG Group. This film will be the official selection of Dr. Ed before the GIFF, the drama was well recieved in Endralon and the producers of the film hope that the film does well in this GIFF edition.

Let's talk a little about the films that were submitted today to the Organizing Committee.

THE MEMORIAL PROJECT

ABOUT THE FILM: The Memorial Project (Minningarverkefnið), is Nikolai Alexsson's (creator of the TV series Guerrilla and Dagar lífs okkar) sci-fi film. The film was a pretty big success both critically and did very well in the selected cinemas it premiered. It won four Suðureyja Critics' Circle Awards, including Best Picture, however the production company of the film, Hrafnbergsson Brothers Pictures, did not release the film in home video due to being a limited release in Telamon, however Hrafnbergsson Brothers Pictures is hopeful to release the film in all theatres, nationally and internationally, this could imply a possible home video release when the film ends its national and international run.

THE COLONIZER

ABOUT THE FILM: The Colonizer is the new film of the Endralonian transnational media conglomerate Lievenian Trade Group. This drama-romance epic will represent Endralon on the Grænnhöfn International Film Festival. According to the Endralonian newspaper The Liberal Economist, the home environment of the movie received it really well, and it is already translated to many other languages, especially Kizenian. The historical-romance drama will have a great chance to do well in Telamon. This will be the first time a film by the LTG Group will participate on GIFF.

SYNOPSIS: According to The Liberal Economist, the plot of this Endralonian epic revolves around the 18th century. The grand and mighty Endralonian Empire, finally conquers the entire Middle-Keris throughout its modern and organized military and bureaucracy. The Endralonian Emperor, Rudolf II, destroys every autonomy rights of the Kizenian and New Endralonian population, trying to fight the national feelings there by authoritarianism. The colonies turning into stratocracy, and the largely Endralonian military expected to govern every aspects of society. Janóka, a liberal and poor Endralonian soldier, however, condemns an order that ordered him and his fellows to execute Neculai and his wife Viorela, who were accused with Kizenian nationalism by an influentialNew Endralonian nobleman. Janóka don't kill them, and when his commander, Ferenc found out,they have to escape from the Endralonians, and planning on leaving the Endralonian colonies and entering the Deltarian ones. During their way to the northern coasts, they meeting with Laci and Rebeka, who are brother and sister, and also trying to hide from the wrath of the Empire. The two group of people allying, and by a dramatic final, Rebeka and Janóka fall in love, while they successfully leave New Endralon.

WHAT DAY WILL THE FILM BE SHOWN AT THE GIFF?: Like The Memorial Project, it is not known when the international public that will attend the GIFF will be able to see this film, however, the Organizing Committee assures that it will be shown on the first day of the festival.

Even if more NAOAC members present their films to the committee, they will still have a chance since the festival will be held at the mid-end of the year. It is known that the ticket booking for the festival has been very high and that soon the number of people attending the festival will be known.
