Telamon Declares War, Begins Invasion of Kivonia
After recent provocations from the Kivonian government led up to the attack on an innocent Telamonic freighter, the government of Telamon has had enough and has officially declared war on Kivonia, launching a successful invasion of the nation's southern island province.

Grænhöfn: Telamon's government officially declared a state of war on the Third Kivonian Republic early last week after 5 days had passed since the attack on the Telamonic freighter. Since then, the Telamonic armed forces, in a two-part plan successfully distracted the Kivonian military into preparing defences in the nearest province to Telamon while the real Telamonic attack was launched into the island of Bindeborg Proper, the southern and larger island in the two-island province of Bindeborg. As of now, there is heavy fighting as the Telamonic army tries to make it's way onto the northern and smaller island of Nyberg, where the Kivonian army managed to reroute their defensive troops from the mainland to.


Telamonic advance into Davostan: red is the faked attacks that served as a distraction, blue is the actually assault with the line in Nyberg being the current furthest advance, and the purple is the sea territory controlled by the Telamonic Navy.

Once Kivonia managed to get it's soldiers onto the island of Nyberg, the tide turned in their favour. Knowledge of the local area as well as support from the local population assisted them in fighting back the Telamoners, who are now almost pushed back to the edge of the island. Multiple air strikes have occurred on naval vessels transporting equipment and supplies to the island from mainland Davostan as the more modern and better equipped Telamonic Air Force makes itself known. Snjóugla Flugvélasveit (Snow Owl Squadron) has been leading the charge, itself led by Loftþjálfari Raisa Ashé-Rivières, the High Princess of Telamon herself, who has been in the Air Force since she was 18. Her squad of JAS 39 Gripens, bought from Kazulia, have proved themselves invaluable in keeping supplies from reaching Kivonian soldiers on Nyberg.

While these invasions are going on, the nation of Hutori, which is unfortunately sandwiched between the nations at war, has been very strict about those potentially entering its ocean territory. So far, Telamonic ships have steered a wide course around Hutori's sovereign waters in an attempt not to provoke the sleeping giant and bringing them into the war against them.

Kivonian Forces Defeat Telamonic Invasion in Bindeborg, Begin Counter-Invasion
The Telamonic invasion of the islands of the Bindeborg province of Davostan failed after the Kivonian military was able to reroute their soldiers in the right positions, Telamonic forces return home to protect from Kivonian attack.

Grænhöfn: After the Kivonian army was able to get enough troops and supplies onto the islands to Nyberg and Bindeborg Proper, they managed to fight the Telamoners back to the city of Møllestad, where the Telamonic air force, which had dominated the smaller and older Kivonian one, covered their retreat into their landing craft. The Telamonic Navy covered their retreat once they made it into the open ocean, managing to protect all of the transports from Kivonian assaults.

The Kivonians rallied their forces after they pushed the Telamoners off their islands and began preparing for an invasion of the Telamonic homeland in April, just last month. Now they started, managing to gain a beachhead in Vesturland Province but not anywhere else, despite their plans to land on every one of Telamon's provinces. That was stopped by what the Telamonic Navy calls "Operation Clothesline", which is where the Navy's ships stretch from the southernmost point of Vesturland to the island of Suðurejya.

So far only one major city has been captured, Vesturborg, located on the tip of the province, but it was not an important economic or military city. The Telamonic Army has been bravely fighting of the invaders, with all civilians in or around the fighting being either evacuated or moved into safe, hidden, underground shelters to ride out the wave until Telamonic forces can liberate them.

The Second Army of Telamon, the Annar Her, which had been the Army that invaded Bindeborg, lost over 11,000 soldiers in the assault and escape (mostly in the escape). Now, with people wanting to enlist and recruit left and right, it is back up to full strength at 50,000, and the Third Army (Þriðji Her) which, pre-war was at 33,000, is now at full strength as well. A Fourth Army (Fjórði Her) of another 50,000 was formed shortly before the invasion of Telamon and is currently in training in Nordurland, and a Fifth Army (Fimmti Her) is being assembled as well in Austurland and is currently at 27,000 soldiers. The Telamonic Army reserves of over 240,000 men are currently waiting at the borders of Vesturland to defend the rest of the nation should the fighting get too close, and are currently recruiting more soldiers, enough to fill their last Varalið (Reserve Army) and a new one.

Currently, only the Second Army and half of the First Army (Fyrsti Her) are seeing combat, as the other half of the First Army is waiting in reserve in the capital province of Miðland to protect it. Casualty numbers have not yet been made publicly available by the government.

Despite Invasion, Telamonic Government Entrepreneurs Start New Motor Vehicle Company
The Telamonic Entrepreneur August Hlustaðu has, with government support and oversight, started a motor vehicle business in the middle of a war.

Hvalþorp: Established early last year in Hvalþorp, the largest city in the province of Norðurland, the Audite Sjálfvirkur Hópur (meaning auto group), Audite SH or just Audite, is a new mid- to high-class automobile manufacturer. The name comes from the Selucian translation of Mr. Hlustaðu's name, which in Skjöldunga means "listen". The company's logo is four rings banded together, symbolizing the 4 deals Mr. Hlustaðu made with the Telamonic government to gain the permissions to operate and acquire the government-owned car part manufacturing companies.

As is common with entrepreneurs in Telamon nowadays, Mr. Hlustaðu and his new company are legally under government control, although Mr. Hlustaðu is the man in charge. He has said repeatedly when asked about why he decided to create the company in the middle of the war with:

So what? We're in a war, I get it. People are dying. People are fighting. I know this must make me sound callous, but why should that provide any reason not to start now? If I hadn't started when I did I would've started after the war, and people would've complained I started too late. That's not to say that I don't care about the war—on the contrary, I'm proposing that multiple of our factories start production on the new BFS-90 APC to assist in the war effort.

The BFS-90 (Brynvarðir Farartæki Samtímans, Contemporary Armoured Vehicle) APC is a newly developed vehicle domestically designed and produced by Audite SH for the Telamonic Army exclusively. Mr. Hlustaðu is hoping to have enough produced to not only assist in the war but to start Telamon's domestically produced line of armoured vehicles and reduce dependence on foreign sellers.


The BFS-90 on display last month when production was announced (production had started 3 months prior, but was not announced until then).

With the BFS-90 being able to be equipped with autocannons and machine guns, it should prove a valuable asset to Telamonic soldiers on the ground. With any luck, it can help to turn the tide of the war. Audite is expected to release their full listing of personal vehicles by next year and their military vehicle line is set to expand shortly, although Mr. Hlustaðu has hinted about a luxury car line, fit for members of government and others with above-average incomes (which is rare in Telamon).

Annalise I Reflects on Her Endralonian Visit, Announces Thanks to Audite SH, and Expands on Current Events in the War
After visiting Endralon, Annalise would like to reflect on what she saw; Audite SH's pledge to assist in the war effort; the advancement of Kivonia and Hutorian intervention.

Grænhöfn: With a lovely visit to Endralon and Annalise's speech to the Senate, she seems to have attracted many allies in Endralon, both political and economic. She reflects on her trip as:

A delightful experience, one that I'd love to do again. Endralon is a wonderful nation with wonderful people, and just like many other nations in the world, I hope we can become better friends.

She also expressed a wish that if she revisited Endralon, she would do so with her daughters, Raisa and Mellony, who are 30 and 28 respectively. Raisa is currently a Loftþjálfari (Air Lieutenant) in the Air Force of Telamon, fighting in the war, and Mellony is with her husband Prince Nicola at his residence in Istalia. The subject of High Princess Raisa, current top candidate for the position of High Queen, is a tricky one. She's a valuable person to the nation, and flies distinctively—her fighter jet, a JAS 39, is painted bright white along with the members of her Air Squadron, a jarring difference to the dark grey the Telamonic Air Force usually likes. Should she be lost in action, the nation would mourn her and he potential as the possible next High Queen—but at the same time they'd be invigorated by her sacrifice and fight harder. Luckily, the air war, even before Hutorian and Dorvish intervention, was almost entirely on Telamon's side.

Hvalþorp: The automobile manufacturer Audite SH has made a pledge to assist in the war effort by halting the potential for production of their newly announced Sæsson line of luxury vehicles and swapping production to the newly announced IS-15, an advanced mortar system, to be placed on the new Pasi-90 APC, which previously was unarmed. Also announced for production was the BM-90 (Bílaverksmiðja) "Piranha" AFV, which will be able to mount the new IS-15 as well as other conventional weapons platforms and systems on board. The Pasi-90 is scheduled to start rolling of the line later this year and the BM-90 not soon after, with the IS-15 in the middle.

Vanirhöll: Fighting has been tough recently, but with Hutori joining the war and the new production from Audite SH, it's been exponentially growing in Telamon's favour. The map below shows the battle lines, and you can clearly see how the Telamonic plan was to keep the enemy forces away from valuable territory and cities and stay stuck in the middle of nowhere, despite the Kivonians' best efforts. It also allowed Hutorian forces to encircle the Kivonian forces by taking their landing zones.

With the tide turning how it has been, it won't be long until the war is over and Davostan is free of oppression. Civilian death count in Telamon is low, but still not none to the regret of the Telamonic leadership.
