January 4774
With Dictator Volkhardt Dead, High Queen Offers Negotiations; Telamon Signs Deal With Rutania
With the war going well, Telamon looks to expand its economy, both in geographical area and scope.

Grænhöfn: Her Majesty the High Queen announced yesterday that she was willing to come to the table with Kivonian leaders and talk about a potential ceasefire or even a peace treaty, provided that it would be current State Officer of the Republic Isabella Cederstam who sits across from her. Cederstam is well known in Telamon for being a nonpartisan member of the Kivonian government, an idealistic young woman who surprisingly voted against war with Telamon.

Her Majesty gave chose Ms. Cederstam allegedly because she was a moderate and a woman in power. Ms. Cederstam's position is similar to that of Kolbeinn Svanmundsson, Althing President, or Bridgét Lóngsdóttir, Chair of the Deliberative Assembly. Of course, should the new "Shadow Council" of Kivonia not choose Ms. Cederstam to the powerful position of Head of the Nation, Her Majesty's hand of peace would be withdrawn.

The Althing of Telamon has officially signified they'd like to sign a treaty with the government of Rutania. The goal of the treaty would be to foster good relations between the two nations, and to help Telamon reduce the amount they have to rebuild after the war by moving a plurality of manufacturing business from Telamon to Rutania, opening up the Telamonic economy and job market to newer, higher-tech industries similar to stronger economies like their neighbor, Hutori.

If the deal goes as planned, Telamon and Rutania shall have a non-aggression pact and Rutania shall see the import of Telamonic state-owned companies to set up shop in the nation. Telamon also would vow to assist Rutania in increasing their economic power, while increasing their own with the new developments.
