Citing Rutania's business-friendly policies PMI Media S.p.A. has moved the central hub of their Artanian Broadcasting network. Rutania has very lax rules on foreign investment and the Commonwealth of Rutania has maintained 0% corporate tax rates for over a decade now, and Rutania's eminent domain laws allow land to seized for government and corporate use with no compensation given to the victim of eminent domain, these are some of the things that have been helping lure businesses such as PMI Media to Rutania.

The company has already created over 1,000 new jobs within the nation, they are starting to offer the following services to Rutanians:

The Elections of August 4188 dealt some big changes to the Peoples Assembly of Rutania. The Whig Party and the Rutanian Union for Democratic Freedom were the big winners securing more than 50 seats each. Lucas Gill the Conservative President lost his 4th campaign for reelection to Sam Lawton of the Rutanian Union for Democratic Freedom (RUDF). Before the election most Rutanians expected the Rutanian Union for Democratic Freedom to side with the liberal wing of Rutanian politics, instead in the after election deal making the RUDF struck a deal with the Conservative and Whig Party. In exchange for the Right-Wing of Rutania ending calls for a Monarchist Constitutional Reform the RUDF agreed to leave Corporate taxes, Privileges of nobility, and parliamentary privileges unchanged. With this deal the Conservatives, Whigs, and RUDF have formed a governing coalition.

Markets Boom

Following the election markets in Rutania have rallied. Economist credit this to the guarantee of continued low corporate taxes and the expected deregulation of the market as well as a preservation of the nations current free market policies. There is already a bill on the floor of the Peoples Chamber to legalize unregulated gambling nation-wide, investments in the Gambling industry are surging with its expected passage. This election marks what will be nearly 20 years of Right-Wing rule in Rutania excluding the 4 year term of former President Henry Blake of the Civic Republican Party. The deregulation of this era has led to massive corporate growth as well as a massive growth of corporate profits.

First Patricians Take seats in the Peoples Assembly

Former Primer Minister's Adam King and William Carmichael along with Former President Lucas Gill are the first Rutanians to be seated in the Peoples Assembly due to their privileged status as Patricians, an honor given to them by the Peoples Assembly. Though they have no voting power in the legislature they have been seated and given observer status to all debates and proceedings. The Patricians have access and clearance to all classified documents of the Intelligence service and the Defense Ministry, obviously giving them powerful insight and influence in the Peoples Assembly. Foreign Secretary Thomas Barron holds this same honorable title but will not be using his seat unless he so chooses so long as me holds his position as Foreign Secretary.

It was an awkward beginning of the legislative session with tensions high due to the mere presence of the Patricians and more so due to the governing coalition that has left the liberal parties very angry with the administration.

Foreign Secretary Thomas Barron of Rutania has begun talks with the opposition on membership in the Artanian Union. The debate has largely come down to the Oppositions demand for restricting the privileges of the Nobility and increasing the seats in the legislature. The Whig Party has expressed a willingness to adopt some changes to appease the opposition. There are those in the Whig Party who call this a betrayal however the Internationalist wing of the party view this as a necessary step toward bipartisan cooperation on matters of Foreign Affairs and ending years of Rutanian Isolationism.

Whig Assembly Members Push for Trans-Artanian High Speed Railway

The Whig Party has begun debate on the possibility of creating a Trans-Artanian High Speed Railway to link the nations of the continent, the left wing opposition has called this a moot point refusing to support such a project so long as the Governing Coalition continues with plans to scrap social programs and Healthcare for the poor of Rutania.

Ministry of Trade and Industry Hacked!!!!!

At the end of March 4189 Hackers released a huge trove of documents and emails from the Rutanian Ministry of Trade and Industry. The communications released by the Hackers appear to show that the Ministry for the last 5 years has been engaging in a tactics to take full advantage of the nations Eminent domain laws to benefit corporations. Numerous documents show how the Ministry closely coordinated with Corporations to take land from citizens and place it in the hands of Businesses for development. Alone there is nothing wrong with that according to Rutanian Law. However the what is concerning in the emails is how it appears Minister Cummings and his staff benefited from such communication.

Emails between the Minister and several corporations show how Minister Cummings has received all expense paid vacations, lavish gifts, and even real estate from Corporations they assisted. It appears a Quid pro Quo was going on between the Ministry and Corporations working with them. One stunning example in the emails shows Minister Cummings meeting with top officials at from T.B.I. Foods Inc. In the weeks after the meeting Minister Cummings received tickets to an all-expense-paid Cruise off the coast of Rutania for himself and his 4 others, upon his return from the Cruise the minister was then given a 10 acre estate in the state of Ardina, days later the Secretary then used the powers of his office to speed through a case of Eminent domain that seized land from over 30 low-income families with no compensation of course. This land was then swiftly handed over to T.B.I. Inc. at no cost in the name of 'Economic Development'.

Memos from within the Ministry show a very lax enforcement of Industrial regulations and standards and an utter disdain from the Minister himself for enforcing regulations. Records from the Ministry show that for the last few years the companies and corporations that have given 'gifts' to the Minister weren't inspected at all nor was any effort put towards ensuring these Corporations followed Health and safety standards.

Gerry Cummings Secretary of the Trade and Industry Ministry has been shot dead in broad daylight!!!!!!

While on his way home from work Gerry Cummings, the Secretary of Trade and Industry was shot in broad daylight, he was immediately rushed to a private hospital where he was declared dead shortly after arriving. A nation-wide manhunt is now underway to find the culprit.

Trial of Timothy FeinWright prepares to begin as the government of President Sam Lawton falls apart.

The Peoples Assembly of Rutania is preparing a committee to decide the fate of Timothy Feinwright, the assassin who gunned down the Secretary of Trade and Industry Gerry Cummings. The tragedy of the assassination has brought the Rutanian government together like never before yet things seem so broken. Right after FeinWright was captured in mid August 4189 all Whig members of the Cabinet submitted their resignation to President Lawton citing his broken promise on the rights of the Nobility. President Lawton and his party the RUDF supported a measure to end the rights of the Nobility in the Rutanian Democratic Reform Act. During debate on the amendment Whig members of the Assembly repeatedly warned that if the RUDF and the President supported the measure it would be viewed as a betrayal of the governing coalition and a betrayal of the Coalition for a Right-Wing Rutania, the bill called for constitutional changes and had no chance of passing yet President Lawton and the RUDF supported anyway.

President Lawton has now alienated himself from both the Right and Left wing blocs of Rutanian politics. He is now stained with the shame of being the President that destroyed his own governing coalition. The Coalition for a Right-Wing Rutania and the Union of Rutanian Republicans now are negotiating plans of forming a united government pushing the RUDF out of the cabinet and removing Prime Minister James Greene Stephens. Only a year and a half into his term as President and it now seems the things the President sought the hardest to prevent will happen. President Lawton was an outspoken critic of the Artanian Union but it now seems that a Grand Bargain between the left and right will make President Lawton the Head of State who presides over Rutania's ascension into the Union. This Grand Bargain will also double the size of the legislature, something the left has been fighting for for nearly a decade.

The Whig Party has also expressed that they plan on calling for early elections in attempt to recall President Lawton from his post.

Return of Partisanship

The special election to recall the President Sam Lawton seemed briefly to possibly end the partisan divide within Rutania, that dream has now passed. The special election saw the Whigs win 30% of the Peoples Assembly with 155 seats, this combined with the Conservative and Rutania Party guaranteed the continuation of Right-Wing rule. The issue dominating the new administration however has been the trial of Timothy FeinWright, the assassin who slayed the late Secretary Gerry Cummings and the profiteering committed by members of the government.

The administration under the leadership of President Francis Barlow and Prime Minister Elmer Clark has passed a new budget allocating 20 billion to the continued revitalization of the Armed Forces, landmark decisions on Gambling, eliminating the minimum wage and deregulating monopolies have all been reached further deregulating the already lax market in Rutania. Probably the biggest landmark vote was the vote to eliminate the government pension fund which leading Whig Econmist say shall lead to a boom in private savings in the nation and shall teach all Rutanians to be more responsible.

The children who came of age in the late 4170's and 80's have seen how supporting Free-Market policies can achieve prosperity. It is they who have voted us to this position of preeminence. We must not let this generation down for they are counting on us to carry the mantle of freedom, the mantle of prosperity. Many of my own generation toiled for years to break the stranglehold the left held this country in. We must safeguard all we have fought hard for over the years. More than anything however we must keep our eyes on the future and guide Rutania into the Free Market paradise it can be. I charge all of you to safeguard the commonwealth against the leaches and the rabble.

Tensions reach a new high in Rutania
Tension looms over Vanderburg today, as threats of paramilitary action and heated debates in the Assembly are casting an unsure light over all of Rutania. Hurried talks between parties and their constituents, party leaders and MPAs. State governments are unsure whether their federal counterparts will stand for much longer.

The Whig Party introduces a bill which would allow segregation, ban positive discrimination and drastically increase the power of noblemen and women. CRL Leader called the Bill a "montrosity" and said that his party was considering "treasonous acts." The RNF has said that it has considered mobilizing it's vast paramilitary forces. The PPR has stated that they are considering "drastic steps." All this while the Whig Party has adopted an overtly White supremacist agenda, with party leader and prime minister Elmer Clark saying that he serves "the White Rutanians of Rutania" and at one point started chanting with his party for segregation.

While this was all unfolding in the People's Assembly, shouting protesters could be heard. The UORR planned large protests in 5 cities in Rutania while this bill was being debated. Protesters carried signs with messages calling for the impeachment of the President and Prime Minister, although the President has been relatively quiet on the matter. Others called for a coup. Notable UORR supporter and Ibutho-Rutanian Frank Plasen spoke at the rally:

We cannot let these fascists control our country for any longer! (cheers) They are white supremacists! They are evil people that will try and step on us! We can not let them! (applause and cheers) Thank you all for coming out today to fight the destruction of equality in Rutania.

Quickly after the protest started, a counter-protest was organized online. Protesters carried signs with messages calling for non-White Rutanians to "get out." and for the assassination of left-wing party leaders. The Army riot unit quickly formed a barrier between the two protests, to prevent fighting. Many from both protests were arrested as they threw rocks and Molotov cocktails at the police and at the other protesters. Obviously some came prepared for violence from both sides.

With a possible civil-war looming over the nation. Nobody is quite sure what is the fate of Rutania. We will keep you updated through all of it.

Prime Minister Elmer Clark announces his Candidacy for President in the Election of November 4193

Amid the rising controversy and tension surrounding the Barlow-Clark Social Reform Act http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=513123 which would allow private establishments to segregate, increases the powers of the nobility by creating 3 Dukes, and end positive discrimination practices Prime Minister Clark has announced his candidacy for the office of President of the Commonwealth. This marks the first Whig Presidential candidate since the inception of the Whig Party.

We are now embarking on the beginning of a great and glorious journey for the Commonwealth, with the passage of the Barlow-Clark Social Reform Act the cornerstone will be laid for the Great Society. The time for change is now, no longer shall we let the minorities dictate 'proper social thought'. The days of the tyranny of being politically correct are over, the time of freedom is now. We are going to take Rutania back. Our detractors have accused us of wanting to kick the other races out of the nation. That is a nasty slur and simply not true. We have always stood for lax immigration laws so all can enjoy this great nation. What we are fighting for is not to exclude anyone from Rutania but instead the Right to protect the historic values and traditions of White Rutanians. It is an individuals right if they don't want to serve White Rutanians side by side an Ibutho. It is a baker's right to refuse to make a product for a gay couple if they so choose. It is an Ibutho- Rutanian's right to exclude White Rutanians from their night clubs if they so choose. We are fighting for freedom.

Another thing we cannot forget we are fighting for is prosperity, if we fail rest assured the two decades of 0% corporate taxes that have brought jobs and wealth to our nation will disappear quickly. If the Left succeeds there will be a great sucking sound of jobs and wealth leaving the Commonwealth. I urge all Rutanians to stand with us and stand for prosperity, so that the children of today can grow up in a free market and not a Communist Dictatorship where thought itself is policed.
