Grand Conservative Union offers a white-Rutanian supremacy plan to ensure white domination in Rutania
GCU leader offers brutal criticism of Dundorf's new black President and racial equality

In a stunning speech before the Peoples Assembly Frank Bennett, the Grand Conservative Union (GCU) leader presented the Cultural Preservation Act http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=535137 which proposes immigration quotas based on nationality and forbids interracial sex. Mr. Bennett gave a shocking speech calling on the Peoples Assembly to defend the future of the White Rutanian race. He went on to use neighboring Dundorf and its newly elected dual presidents, one of whom is black, as an example of the threat facing the white rutanian people.

Not since the Whigs has a party dared to open the old wound of racial tensions, it now appears that the GCU plans on making more than just tax reform as an election issue. With the next elections a little more than 2 years away parties are undoubtedly vetting candidates and pondering coalitions, but how will this all pan out? Will some of the other parties who have voted with the GCU to pass defense measures and change the firearm laws stand with them at election time? Only time will tell, one things for sure the political landscape is changing.

When asked if the GCU would make a clear statement on its racial views and policy desires this newspapers reporters were told by the GCU that more legislation would soon be coming that would clarify things so the Rutanian people could make a clear choice about their future in the next election.

----Grand Conservative Union Leader speaking to a crowd of supporters in Vanderburg-----

"Thank you all for coming. I am here to announce my official candidacy for President in the Election of 4264. With your help we can place the Commonwealth on the path to prosperity. We have already accomplished much; delivering an enormous tax cut to the people and lowering the corporate tax rate so businesses can prosper in the nation. We have begun the process of ending laws that favored foreigners, we have strengthened the borders but so much more is needed.

I am calling on other parties to join me and back my bid for the presidency, I hope like minded parties such as the UDP and the Rutanian Nationalist will stand with us, together we can form a coalition government and take this country back.

Also I'd like to assure you all that the work we have begun in defense of the White Rutanian people is only the beginning, we will bring an end to the false ideology of multiculturalism and we shall restore proper morality to this nation. Furthermore we are in the process of formulating a foreign policy plan that we will present to the Peoples Assembly before the end of the current term

GCU calls for sanctions against Istalia, and for support for Kalopia

Image

After the Peoples Assembly of the Commonwealth overwhelmingly rejected the World Congress sanctions against Kalopia
http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=535201
The GCU has now called on the government to enact sanctions against Istalia and support Kalopia in a resolution requesting the Peoples Assembly to condemn Istalia's wanton aggression. The resolution condemns the sanctions that will only bring more turmoil and suffering to the people of Kalopia.
http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=535370

GCU leader Frank Bennett made this speech before the Peoples Assembly:
Mr. Speaker,

Despite the prevailing thinking across the globe placing sanctions on the Kalopian economy will result in no positive result it will only cause more hardship, more refugees, and quite possibly it could lead to the radicalization of some of those who will suffer the economic consequences, the regime and powerful leaders in that nation will not suffer economically, it shall be the poorest who suffer the most.

So we ask the Peoples Assembly to stand with us and vote with us on this issue to send a message of hope to the Kalopian people and a message of sensibility to the World Congress.

President Bennett (left) and Prime Minister Blood (right)

A LOOK BACK AT PRESIDENT'S BENNETT'S FIRST YEAR

One year after the election of 4264 the Commonwealth of Rutania looks a lot like it did before the election. Many of the critics of the Grand Conservative Union and Frank Bennett feared his election would signal the changing of an era in Rutania. They feared the liberal protections that have been afforded to minorities, gays, and immigrants would disappear with the GCU in office, so when the GCU won 33% of the electorate they feared the worst was on its way.

A year in we now see that the GCU threat imagined by some was more bark than bite. Even with 1/3 of the seats the GCU needed to form a coalition in order to govern, this coalition has seemingly defanged the GCU. The only serious change to the Commonwealth thus far has been a 500 million Ruta increase in the Environment and Tourism Ministries budget, a move broadly supported in liberal circles. Otherwise the governing coalition has come together only to make public nudity laws a federal issue instead of one of provincial prerogative.

The past year has shown that the GCU stands to the right of their coalition partners on most issues, as we move forward into the second year of the Presidency the administration seems to be sticking to the law and order issues and Immigration laws, something that has been all the buzz in the media with the nation straining under the weight of refugees abroad.

The administration has also been in prolonged talks with other member-states in the Artanian Union to revitalize the AU, something that raises many questions since this administration was brought in with a conservative-nationalist mandate. As for the issues that concern the GCU's critics only time will tell if we shall see more identity politics from them.

President Bennett and Prime Minister announce intention to seek second term in 4269

President Bennett and Prime Minister Blood speaking to supporters in Kragusrov announced that they will be seeking a second term. President Bennett made a rousing speech to supporters where he vowed to 'fulfill the mandate'.
Full Speech:

In the fall of 4264 the people sent me to Vanderburg on a mission, a mission to enact real change. For years the left has led this nation down a destructive path of multiculturalism, nanny state policies, and economics that equal national economic suicide. We have done our best to fulfill change in these areas but the walls erected by the left are old and sometimes seemingly endless. We have come closer than ever before to withdrawing from the International Racial Equality agreement, a worthy feat.

But of course we have failed to truly fulfill our mandate and that's why I am here to ask you all to go out and campaign in your neighborhoods, call your Peoples Assembly rep and tell them to stand with my administration, tell them to abandon the old liberal guard.

We have been able to achieve notable reform in the Commonwealth, we have reformed the Central Bank, we have ended the draft while the liberals stood on the sidelines. The left is an unceasing enemy however, they have hampered criminal justice reform, they have hampered dealing with the refugee situation, these cowards would rather obstruct reform and progress rather than offer their own solutions, so please stand with me my countrymen.

After the speech the President shook hands with supporters then quickly left leaving the Prime Minister to field questions from reporters. Reporters questioned the Prime Minister on whether the coalition government still has the support of enough of the Peoples Assembly since they have been unable to fill the cabinet vacancy in the Health and Human Services Ministry, also citing the governments long list of failed bills.

The Prime Minister responded saying that the administration most definitely commands the respect of the Peoples Assembly for the governing coalition, adding that he does not intend to fill the Health and Social Services vacancy saying that 'the ministry is running fine under the authority of the deputy minister' and that 'the bureaucrats can handle it.'

The Prime Minister then went on to ramble about the 3 new bills under vote in the Peoples Assembly and how important the Civic Peace Assurance is.

Former President Bennett makes concession speech and departs Vanderburg
June 4269

Following the results of the 2nd round in the Federal election in June 4269 President Frank Bennett has begun his departure from Vanderburg, he offered this concession speech to the nation and incoming President Celia Rivers:

It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as President of this great Commonwealth, and now that time has come to an end. Over the last 5 years we have seen a lot change and yet many in the nation feel they haven't gotten the change they are due. We must remember to respect our compatriots, no matter their political philosophy. We cannot repeat the mistakes of the past and let polarization turn neighbor against neighbor. We must know that through peaceful debate our righteous demands shall come to pass, the future of White Rutania depends on it.

So as we prepare to continue this national journey with President Rivers, do not fret and do not fear. The eco-liberals are not the enemy they are simply trying to make Rutania great in a way they can see. This stage will pass, our rise will come, the reign of multiculturalism cannot endure for long.

It has also been announced that Frmr. President Bennett is planning on entering formal retirement after officially resigning his post as leader of the GCU, unsurprisingly the Former Prime Minister, Royce Blood has been announced as the new leader of the GCU.

RCG Leader Trenton King enraged at Rutanian Politics

RCG leader King reportedly lashed out on reporters last night as the results came in. When reached out for comment, King stated,"It is a sad day when we have to go from an intolerant right wing government to a socialist dictatorship in the matter of years." King was known to be against the GCU's main beliefs, even though the two parties met middle ground on issues like the death penalty and foreign policy. Now, with a leftist dominated country, can Rutania survive the socialist storm, or will it crumble into oblivion under the hands of the socialists?

Peoples Assembly divisions and more unveiled in debate over Foreign Affairs Committee

The divisions within the People's Assembly have become clear during the debate over selecting the members of the Foreign Affairs Committee. Tensions erupted when the Grand Conservative Union initially suggested 4 members from the Right-Wing of Rutanian politics, 4 members of the ruling UGAP and one member from the RCG thought by the GCU to be a neutral balancing influence. President Celia Rivers and the UGAP insisted that the governing coalition be given 5 seats and the opposition parties only 4, stating doubt as to how neutral the RCG is.
c
If the RCG wasn't biased toward the GCU the Presidents actions haven't driven them any closer to the administration according to Conservative strategist. In a show of solidarity against what was perceived as bullying by the administration in defense of the socialist left the opposition parties voted together to vote down the Declaration of Rights of Disabled Persons. Many Peoples Assembly Members (PA members) stated after the vote that they voted no on principle and not because they disagree with any statements in the declaration.

One leaked source within the GCU has revealed that Opposition leadership is opting to flex their muscle on Foreign Policy issues to bring the administration to the table on other legislative issues, our anonymous source stated that some within the Opposition leadership don't believe the UGAP are as firm believers in some of the far-left economic policies their coalition partners embrace, they are hoping to sideline the minority parties in the government and work directly with the UGAP.

The GCU made foreign policy a big priority in the last administration, upending years of policy in their statements against nations like Istalia, and attempting to begin work within the Artanian Union again, it seems the GCU and the other opposition parties don't intend to let foreign policy go now.

Grand Conservative Union holds million-man march in Vanderburg to protest legislative attacks on 'Free Enterprise'
Image
Dec. 17th 4271

The Grand Conservative Union called on supporters to descend on the capital, Vanderburg, to protest the Banking Nationalization Act (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill. ... lid=537036). The bill, which was proposed by the DSPR and supported by President Rivers and the UGAP looks likes its on its way to passage unless any member of the governing coalition opposes it. The bill would nationalize nearly every bank in the nation leaving only small community banks. Doing so would put nearly all powers of capitol within the nation in the hands of the government. GCU Minority Whip and former Prime Minister Royce Blood called the bill
'the greatest threat to freedom I've ever seen in my life'
.

Conservatives who began to rally to the GCU after feeling the political elite had betrayed their interest in the name of pursuing their socialist ideology appear to be outraged at this bill, there were shouts at the rally to impeach President Rivers, and many angry slurs could be heard being yelled. Many of the protesters carried signs saying 'THE HAG MAKES ME GAG' referring to the President of course.

Thinks to a dramatic turn during the evening when protesters began to march toward the Peoples Assembly building attempting to stay to make their voice heard to all legislators. An unclear incident occurred that led to a major confrontation between GCU protesters and some counter-protesters who happened to be members of various racial minorities. Angry racial slurs were heard and some of the protesters and counter protesters were injured and required hospital treatment, the crowd still refusing to disperse started a large bonfire, burning liberal and socialist literature, they then began to chant
'Rutania for Rutanians'
and
'Kick the bums out'

The GCU has yet to comment on the violence at their protest.
