Dr. Steven Einstein, former Minister of Science and Technology of Kalistan (4533-4535), headed a project in Kalistan that used testostrone to expediate the reproduction of amino acids, allowing the amino acids to almost instantaniously form colonies that could be used to replace damaged DNA that is disfunctional due to genetic diseases. He has been nominated for the Hartvig Prize in Biology.

First Responders Down the Street from Smoldering Car

There was an explosion outside of the Colbert Street Garrison in Kaliburg earlier this morning, the third of March 4544 caused by a car which was rigged with a small bomb and parked outside of the gates to the garrison. Five pedestrians were wounded by and hospitalized after the explosion while another passerby, who was right next to the car at the time of the explosion, and a Minuteman guard were killed. The passerby was killed immediately while the guard was treated by the garrison medic and quickly rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately died during the ambulance ride.

A motive and suspect for the explosion are yet to be established by the authorities, though many conspiracy theorists claim this to be an act of terror by a group of ex-Patriots turned terrorist who wished to strike back at their former adversaries. These claims are still unfounded and are only not being swept to the side immediately due to NCP Director Patrick Kearney showing support and belief for these claims, but his support has earned him mountains of criticism and insults, and even claims that the nearly eighty year old man has gone senile.

Last month, voting for the Colbertist Omnibus closed in the National Assembly. Many Kalistanis had been on the edge of their seat, patiently awaiting the results. Although the bill was an omnibus and therefor wasn't meant to be passed, the nation was totally unsure of whether or not the Liberal Democrats would vote. The Colbertist Omnibus was proposed by the Colbertist faction within the NCP and had included provisions to pull the government completely and immediately out of its last beachheads in the economy. The Colbertists had also included multiple proposals in their omnibus which would take jabs at certain liberal policies, such as abortion and prostitution. When the votes were finally counted and recounted, the Omnibus succeeded and drastic changes were to come.

Since the vote, both thee NCP and the LDP have received much flak for voting for the omnibus. Initially, it was only those who were pro-choicer, pro-prostitution, and pro-drug who had come out to attack the two parties.

We were able to get the statements of two activists who were against the bill:

Quote from Selena Ayende, Pro-Choice Activist
If there was one thing above all others which made me oppose this bill, it was the terrible provision which would have us withdraw from the Worldwide Pro-Choice Alliance. This bill is only clearing the road for those filthy Conservatives to bulldoze right through women's rights. If the UKWF didn't already have my vote, they sure do now.

Quote from Johnathan Ramirez-Sanders, NCP Voter
I believe in the original values of the NCP. The values of freedom and liberty. This new Colbertist faction is having me rethink my alignments. If the NCP is going to go further with these restrictions of liberty, the prostitution and drug parts policies, not the WPCA on; than I guess I'll have to vote for independents. And that's not even mentioning this Radical Brethrenist faction.

Support for the NCP and LDP only waned even further when earlier this month the three last public industries were closed and all of their workers left jobless. Due to the immediate change in the economy, there is nowhere else for these people to go other than the welfare office. Statistics also show that hunger in both adults and children are rising.

The NCP Minority Leader and leader of the Colbertist faction Gaius Spartacus (NCP - Neveras) had released a statement earlier this week when all of the government sponsored statistics had been brought in and revealed the truly horrible effects of shock liberalization:

My fellow Kalistanis, I am deeply sorry for the effects of which our omnibus has wrought. These were truly not our intentions. We hoped for mass improvement and modernization, not mass unemployment and starvation. This deep shame and guilt truly ways on me.

I will not be running for reelection during the next election, and I will be retiring from politics then as well. For Now, I will finish out the rest of my term, but I will abdicate from the position of Minority Leader.

Conservative Public Relief Program
Interview with Deputy Brock Myers Regarding the Recently Announced Conservative Public Relief Program

Volunteers Collect Fruit for the Hungry in Odufaray

Last week on August 27th, the National Conservative Party Council of Officers shared their intentions to those harmed by the immediate privatizations of the Colbertist Omnibus with the people of Kalistan by releasing a three minute video titled We've Helped in the Past, We'll Help Again. This short video starring NCP Minority Leader Brock Myers did little to inform the public on what exactly the NCP was planning to do but promised that more details would be revealed soon. Well, it seems as if soon is now as Deputy Myers has asked The Right View for an interview, and not being ones to disappoint, we graciously accepted.

Natalia Puerta's Interview with Deputy Brock Myers, 9/1/4545

Puerta: Thank you for offering this interview, Deputy Myers. To start, may I ask what took the NCP so long to take action regarding the Colbertist Omnibus?

Myers: Well, thank you for having me. Interviews are a much better way to inform the public on all issues. To answer your question, the Colbertists weren't to keen on immediately going out and assisting the public. They thought the free market would deliver Kalistan from this crisis. With their lack of cooperation and the thorn in our side that calls itself the Radical Brethrenists, we hadn't been able to get enough support to get a big movement going. Last year, however, we were finally able to convince Deputy Jack Smith, the new leader of the Colbertists, to support the CPRF, and with him came a good amount of other Colbertists. His eyes were opened by the fact that the free market hadn't helped yet. The closed industries still aren't back on their feet. Thousands are still unemployed. Thousands are still hungry.

Puerta: Why is it that the NCP let this bill pass? Surely the party could've stopped it once it became obvious that it would pass with the support of the LDP?

Myers: We wouldn't have been able to stop it. It would have been our Deputies and the Worker's Deputies against the LibDem's Deputies, and that's not a battle we would've won. The LibRefs had been completely silent on all of the omnibusses that our factions had proposed. Without their votes, we wouldn't have any chance of winning the vote. We kept our vote for the bill because it wouldn't have mattered. It would've been futile.

Puerta: How has the public image of the NCP been affected by the effects of the Omnibus?

Myers: Take a guess. You should know as well as I do that this surely hasn't helped us. Membership has taken quite a hit, and that won't help our efforts to repair what we've broken. Could we get into the CPRP questions now? We're straying a bit to far away from the important subject.

Puerta: Yes, of course. What exactly is the CPRP? What will you be doing?

Myers: The CPRP is a wide umbrella of multiple programs aimed at assisting those harmfully affected by privatization and helping build up the new private sector. We'll be doing a great many things from expanding CAK recruitment quotas to funding the construction of temporary housing for the homeless to even providing assistance to new companies in the freshly privatized sectors. Before when we've underwent hasty privatization, the NCP has supported quick jumps back to the dual economy rather than attempting to make a better situation. Right now, I think we should give well regulated capitalism a try and later implement a system with the best of both worlds. So right now we'll focus primarily on public relief and put funding the economy as our secondary concern. I'm sorry I haven't given a great amount of information regarding the CPRP programs, but we'll be publishing a complete list of all of the programs tomorrow.

Puerta: Well, this little you've told me about sounds like a lot. How does the NCP plan on paying for this?

Myers: For the Public Relief Programs we'll be getting the money through charity and membership dues. As always, CAK is only funded through membership dues and private donations. And for industry funding, some of our wealthier members have pledged to pitch in in order to build the economy back up. We're also cutting unneeded costs, primarily from office campaigns. We'll still be running George Cincinnatus in the Presidential race, but we don't expect to win anyway, so we've cut our Presidential campaign spending to the bone.

Puerta: I have one final question: Do you have anything to say to the other parties?

Myers: Help. Please do everything you can, especially the LDP. At the very least, expand your militias. This'd help both the starving military and the starving people. I'd very much like to see the quotas and summaries of the People's Revolutionary Guard and the Blue Berets. I haven't heard much from them since the Civil War.

Puerta: Thank you for the interview, Deputy. I can't wait to see the complete CPRP list.

Myers: Tomorrow it'll be out, Mrs. Puerta. Thanks for having me.

Conservative Public Relief Program
This Document has been Released to the Public at the Request of the Council of Officers of the National Conservative Party

Complete List of the Programs of the Conservative Public Relief Program

CAK Divisions 11, 12, 13, 14, and 15: Five new divisions of 1000 men will be recruited to CAK. One in each district. This expansion would provide food, housing, and payment to the recruits. This would also create countless other jobs for the maintenance of the new divisions and increase the amount of business the newly privatized military sector will receive.

Housing for the Homeless: The NCP will fund and recruit volunteers for the construction of temporary residences for Homeless Kalistanis.

National Food Drive: The NCP will collect food for hungry Kalistanis through a variety of ways including purchasing fresh food, running charity campaigns, and funding farmers in return for donating a portion of their produce.

NCP Employment Search Program: The NCP will assist all unemployed Kalistanis, free of charge, in their search for employment.

Privatization Relief Campaign: The NCP will run a charity campaign to amass money to be sent as a gift to those who have been left unemployed by the Colbertist Omnibus.

Industry Building Donations: Wealthy NCP members have pledged to invest in newly created companies in the military, fuel, and mineral industries in order to build them up and strengthen them enough to employ the unemployed and provide just as good as the closed down government monopolies.

These programs will start on January 1st 4546 but the collection of funds will begin immediately.

Note from the Council of Officers of the National Conservative Party
In the language of this document, the phrase "The NCP will" pops up quite a lot. We hope that the government, the other parties, and the people of Kalistan also do their part in helping their countrymen. We would love to look back during the future and not think "Look at what the NCP did for its less fortunate countrymen," but rather "Look at what Kalistan did for its less fortunate countrymen."

Sarah Furhat which has held the office of President of the Republic for 10 years and has enacted many economic/social reforms was shot by a crazed gunman earlier this morning on the steps of the Presidential Palace. The lone gunman which has been named as Lucas Gallagher was reported to scream “Death to Capitalism ! Long live the Socialist Revolution” before firing 6-shots from a handgun, the President was three times, twice on the chest and once on the shoulder after collapsing to the ground. The lone gunman was shot dead as the security services scrambled to take the President to Emergency Care however Sarah Furhat had passed away on arrival. The Government has called an emergency meeting and Parliament has gathered for an emergency session. The Presidential Palace has yet to comment meanwhile the LDP Headquarters has declared the events as a “National Tragedy” and “Embarassment” and has declared a week of mourning also calling for an investigation to the Assassin and his potential “ties”.

Socialists Issue statement on the Death of Furhat
"Gallagher was not a Socialist"

Kaliburg, Ananto
February 19, 4546

The Socialist Party of Kalistan, which withdrew from Kalistani Politics, and has, for the last few years, continued as a non-political affinity group in Kalistan, issued the following statement:

"The statement attributed to the assassin of the President, Sarah Furhat, which claimed 'Death to Capitalism, long live the Socialist Revolution', is certainly endorsed by any decent Leftist in Kalistan who disagrees with the direction our nation has taken over the past half a century. But Mr. Gallagher is not associated, in anyway, shape or form, with the Socialist Party or any other socialist organization in the Nation. Let us be explicit: Gallagher was not a Socialist. Some of our sources suggest he was formerly affiliated with the discredited Patriot League, and his ode to socialism during the assassination was a false flag to get Socialism blamed for the assassination. This would be expected from a member of the now defunct Patriot League, which was, throughout the entirety of its existence, a terrorist organization of the first order who was able to use the quirks of Kalistan's electoral system to hold our nation hostage.

"We will take our opportunity to express condolences for the Furhat Family, and for the entire Nation. While we are not particularly regretful concerning the removal of the Liberal from office, we are clearly in opposition to the method which resulted in her removal. We will hold her family and friends in the Light, and offer them any support that we can which would benefit them in this time of their loss."

Official Public Statement from the NCP
19/2/4546

The members of the National Conservative Party would like to express their total disgust and sorrow due the murder of President Sarah Furhat of the Liberal Democratic Party. Today we will mourn the death of our dear comrade, but tomorrow we shall do everything possible to ensure that this can and will never happen again. We order the Conservative Army of Kalistan garrison of each district to fire ten rifle volleys from teams of ten men, the ten symbolizing President Furhat's ten years in office. We'll also be ordering the Minuteman Battalion in Kaliburg to guard government buildings and we'll offer all politicians across Kalistan squads from CAK's irregular forces.

Liberty Shall Triumph! In Vino Veritas!

Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruce Nicholson to Act as Interim President !

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruce Nicholson has been chosen as the Interim President of the Republic until the Elections in June. Meanwhile LDP headquarters have elected Jason Kenway to be chosen as the new Chairman of the Party although there has been no candidacy or declaration of a Congress as of yet. Jason Kenway has yet to comment however our sources confirm that he is gearing up for a potential Presidential Run and will accept the invitation of the LDP to take charge. He is expected to continue the Pro-Capitalist and Libertarian stance of the LDP however on top of that, his reported ideas on “Federalism” and “reducing Central control” may also effect and change LDP policy. Many suggest that his speech given a week after the death of her wife which read:”She was my soul-mate. My one true love, friend, partner in this world. She was the thing that kept me happy. And now although she is gone, her inspiration, motivation and hard-word still lives on,in each and everyone of us. We will all work as hard as possible to keep her legacy alive and do what she always did, Make Kalistan better and better.” was a clear sign that he was planning on taking the mantle and leading the Party and maybe Country. Meanwhile investigations are still going according to the executive order of Interim President Nicholson to find out if the Gunman acted alone or had any ties.

Kenway wins Presidency ! LDP continues Majority !

Jason Kenway which took the helm of Chairman of the LDP and was chosen the LDP Candidate for President of the Republic after Sarah Furhat’s assassination, ran an election campaign which he promised would “make his late wife proud” and Won a crushing victory against the NCP-UKWF-LRP endorsed Socialist Candidate Joseph Hill. On the other hand the LDP retained their comfortable lead in Parliament. Jason Kenway in his victory speech stated:”This is a massive victory against the enemies of Liberty and the LDP. They can shoot us all they want but Our ideas are and always will be bulletproof and the fight for Liberty will forever stand strong ! Long live Free and Capitalist Kalistan !”. It will be very interesting to see how the former Diplomat and Prime Minister will run the LDP and the Presidency and what kind of policy he will pursue however one thing is for certain, the people of Kalistan have put their trust on Kenway !
