Indralan embassies across Terra face stormy protests

The Indralan Ambassador to Lodamun has sparked outrage with comments he made during a discussion about a Bill to sell Lodamese Hosians abroad as "animals". Endorsing the legislation, he said:

This bill is an act of pristine intelligence in the eyes of Indrala, for it too once undertook such an action by exporting its Daenists to Keymon where they live in a Daenist Collective led by the Daenist Patriarch. As you all know, they caused massive problems for Indrala with their radical and warmongering nature despite their religion of peace. From then on, Indrala has not suffered Daenist insurrections or social instability.

Lodamun will gain immensely from this bill, should it be passed. We commend Lodamun and wish it the utmost success for improving its stability.

Hosian and Daenist leaders have spoken out strongly against the remarks, and Indralan embassies across Terra have become a focal point for angry demonstrators. Anton Rietveld, chairman of Lodamun's Conservative Monarchist Alliance, fell short of calling for the Ambassador to be sacked, but asked him "to clarify what he meant" and called on the Indralan government "to issue a statement explaining their position on the subjects the comments related to". However, despite his restrained words, Rietveld is known to be privately seething at the Indralan government, who he feels should have done more to speak out against the ongoing persecution of Hosians in his country. "Indrala is the closest thing Terra has to a superpower," one of Rietveld's aides told us. "If Indrala will not be the conscience of Terra, then who will?"
