Dogmen Revolt
May 21, 3566 - The Deltárska Ríša, the once almighty Deltarian Empire, which for decades was the most powerful of all nations and one of the largest empires in Terran history, is now crumbling. After an engineered famine that claimed the life of hundreds of thousands of Deltarians, a revolt of the Great Czarist Army, a rebellion of the peasants and serfs, and the rule of a mad Czar, the Empire has begun its inevitable collapse. Already Jelbania and Cobura, taking advantage of the Czardom's waning power, proclaimed their independence from the Empire, with many more nations to follow.
Although order was temporarily restored in Deltaria with the assassination of Czar Miloš the Mad and the crowning of his elder brother, tensions soon resurfaced between the conservative nobles of the prestigious old Dynastias and the plutocratic parvenu nobility of the Whiggs. At the same time, the Men Aside, also known as the Czar's Dogmen, the fanatical followers of the Czar who formed the ruling class of Deltaria for decades, refuse to acknowledge Viktor I as the rightful Czar. After the organization was proclaimed illegal by the Tsargrad Veche and its members sentenced to death by the breaking wheel, the Men Aside took arms against the White Guard government, and are now in open rebellion against Viktor I.
At the same time, rumour has begun to spread among the more ignorant Deltarians that Czar Miloš may in fact still be alive, having miraculously survived the assassination attempt orchestrated by the nobles. Many among the poor Deltarians do believe that Czar Miloš is indeed the incarnation of Saint Parnum the Thunderer, and that he will soon return to smite his opponents and return order and peace to the Deltarian Empire and all of Terra.
