PLANE HIJACKED BY MALIVIAN COW TERRORISTS, DIVERTED TO MALIVIA
A luxury private jet carrying 72 leading figures in the global beef industry has been hijacked by terrorists from Gau Raksha Paltan (Cow Protection Army), a hardline Rajutti Gerajan (OOC: Indian Hindu) group who regard cows as holy animals and are fanatically opposed to their slaughter.
The passengers had recently attended a conference of the Terra Cattle Association in the Likatonian city of Chester, and had boarded a private jet taking them to a luxury hotel and conference centre in the Endralonese city of Krokar Polje, where further meetings and social events were planned. After less than 20 minutes in the air, the plane was hijacked by 4 armed terrorists wearing cow masks, who have now diverted the plane to Kajpur Airport in Malivia.
It is being speculated the terrorists feel the Malivian authorities may be more sympathetic to their cause than the authorities in Endralon or other countries in the region, and that this is why the plane is now on the way to Kajpur.
A message from the hijackers states the passengers are "currently all safe and unharmed" and that "our demand is for the complete eradication of the beef industry across the whole of Terra". Gau Raksha Paltan experts predict, however, that this is only a starting point in the negotiations, and that they have other, more modest and specific, demands which they want to be met.
Images are spreading across social media of Malivians appearing to celebrate the hijacking. A spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry insists "these are digitally manipulated images designed to misrepresent the mood of the Malivian people at this sensitive time" and that "the safety of the passengers on the plane is our absolute priority".
