I don't mind if people post here, I just thought he confused the threads since they look similar. If I won't allow people to comment, I make that very clear from the very beginning. This is not the case.

Defense Ministry will aid Lodamun's anti-terror efforts

Sir Arthur Scottswolf, vice-admiral of the Imperial navy and spokesman for the ministry of defense announced that 3 carrier attack groups will be sent to patrol specificaly the stretch of water between Luthori and Lodamun as well as aid Lodamun in its efforts to establish a quarantine zone. Rules of engagement will be similar to those of Lodamun, following Imperial naval battle rules. Imperial battlefleet II will be sent under the command of Admiral Hawkmore, including carrier groups II, VI and VIII.



Defense minister Lord Edward Bane made a brief appearance as well stating that: "terrorism, piracy and all other forms of crime and military actions against His Majesty and the Empire will not be tolerated, the offendors will be hunted down like the animals they are and will be punished by the Emperor's justice. His Majesty has been patient long enough, it is time bold action be taken."

After further investigations conducted by the Lodamese Navy, it was revealed that the attack on the URLS Andalay was planned ahead of time. The course of the Varyag indicated that they avoided the quarantine zone until reaching the area patrolled by the URLS Andalay. The reason as to why the Andalay was specifically targeted is still unknown. The arrested terrorists confessed that they had received instructions to do everything possible to sink one of the Navy ships. Who ordered the operation within Nova Terra is still unclear.

Previous reports indicated that rapid gun fire came from the Varyag. This has been confirmed by the investigators. However, the investigation added that the Andalay was also hit with at least one portable guided missile. The ammunition recovered in the water pertained to that kind of weapon.

This proves, once again, that our Navy ship was attacked in premeditation in a clear act of aggression by Nova Terra. Lodamun condemns this blatant attack upon its citizens and its Navy. The extremism by Nova Terra has reached insurmountable proportions. They threatened the leaders of countries, they offer bounties on their heads, they try to kill our brave men and women in uniform, and they try to create havoc in our lands.

Nova Terra needs to understand that violence in this world is no longer the option.

Lodamun is being blatantly attacked by criminals and the international community has seen what Nova Terra is capable of in the pursuit of the destruction of society as we know it, the moral fiber of Terra and even Terra itself.

Does the quarantine apply to the Dolgavan and Telamon territorial waters? If so, do you have permission from Dolgavan and/or Telamon government?
(the question has two reasons - n1 is I want to know if ships can move through Dolgavan-Lodamun sea without quarantine. n2 is to see if there are some international RP possibilities including one or both other nations in interest.

I have been over this a few times before but I'll answer it again because you asked nicely.

The quarantine does not invade territorial waters of any sovereign country. However, there is no way to run the quarantine, if that's what you are asking. Of course, you could get clever and come up with an idea on it but that's up to you. Basically, you can move through their territorial waters but we will be waiting outside for you.

No, the ships cannot move without being inspected. No invasion of territorial waters has occurred nor will it occur.

Terrorists turn violence into plain murder

Port Andalay, Andalay (LCN)- What was supposed to be a glorious day for Lodamun and the international community did not end with a good tone.

The United Nations of Terra was supposed to have its grand opening tonight at 7:00pm, when the General Assembly met for the first time since its foundation. However, shortly after 6:30pm, a car bomb exploded outside the building. The blast was powerful enough to cause extensive damage to the two lower floors and create panic in the building. The details of how the car made it close to the building are not yet known.

At the time of the explosion, all the diplomats from the different countries who were attending were gathered at the General Assembly's immense conference room, among them President Jonathan Kynes and his daughter, Foreign Affairs Minister Elizabeth Kynes. Soon after the terrorist attack was perpetrated, a swarm of Secret Service agents and security detail stormed into the room and evacuated everyone, including President Kynes, who was escorted out through the back door, according to reports.

The building designed for the United Nations was almost finished but the upper floor were still being worked on, thus the building is still considered under construction. Delays due to technical problems with the interior of the building caused the construction to be delayed for a month. However, the General Assembly Meeting had been scheduled a year ahead and it was decided to proceed with the meeting even though the construction of the building was not completely done.

It is also being reported that the attack at the fuel depot was not the cause of the massive power outage but rather a result of another coordinated attack to the main power lines. Though proving unsuccessful, the attack caused massive power outages. As this moment it is being reported that more than three million residents are still without power.

Earlier reports that the attack at the fuel depot had cause considerable damaged was dismissed by government officials with knowledge of the situation. They did not provide any specifics into the situation but did confirm that some damage had occurred.

The reported attacks near the Parliament and the Defense Ministry have been confirmed as well. Preliminary reports indicate that one person died and five others were injured in the incidents. Authorities believe that the attack to the Defense Ministry was targeted at the NATO Military Headquarters in the East Wing of the Ministry.

Early this morning at a press conference, President Kynes alongside some of the diplomats attending the General Assembly Meeting issued a sharp response to Nova Terra and the terrorists:

"On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord. I am very saddened for what happened yeterday. It is certainly a tragedy. There is only one organization to blame for this: Nova Terra. It is disgraceful that they had to incur in such violent actions. They have reached a level of aggression that is no longer tolerable. Not only do they try to damage our institutions but also kill our people and the leaders of other countries. They are certainly despicable actions by Nova Terra.

Lodamun will not stand by nor will NATO. Our neighbors and allies know what Nova Terra is capable of and together and we will work, as one, to defeat them. Violence has no place in this world.

Yesterday, they tried to create panic, they try to scare us away into seclusion and isolationism. But we are stronger, more will-minded. We will get passed this, our people are going to recover, and once again we will pursue those responsible for this. To all of you, dear friends standing behind me, I give you my word that we will call the General Assembly Meeting to order one week from today. We will not let down.

Listen to me very carefully Nova Terra and all the others who seek to destroy us and society as we know it: We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.

The people of Lodamun are facing a tragedy at this moment. It is insulting to us that you are making a mockery out of this sad event and mention our style of government. It is not the place nor the time to do so.

This is the only time I will address your "concerns" over democracy in Lodamun. The fact is that Lodamun possesses one of the most democratic systems in the world. The laws are not at all oppressive and the people are free to do as they please. Our citizens fully support the actions as seen by the recent election results. No one in this planet can criticize Lodamun's government for being tyrannical because in no way does it meet the standard.

As said previously, we will not discuss this topic anymore nor do I have the need, after the response just given, to respond to the related comments made by yourself about this.

As for the willing cooperation you have offered, Lodamun thanks Egelion but I and the rest of NATO would like Egelion to cooperate with us in the crack down of Nova Terra. I am sure that by being part of NATO and understanding that terrorism is a pending threat to the world, you would not refuse such petition. All of us united can eliminate the threat of terrorism once and for all.
