Bingo. One e-cookie, heading your way. Hubris FTL, eh?

You kind of need two sides for a Civil War and the others in Trigunia do not care nor are they aware a civil war was under way. Aside from that, the "war" began when CS was in the minority. The first sentence still applies for yesterday and today.

OOC: I absolutely agree with Mr. Yankees. You cant do something and expect there to be no consenquences. If it goes that way, either the Axis or NATO could realisticaly RP a surprise attack against all GPO states using nuclear weapons and you'd have no countries anymore.

Bomb us. Whatever. The difference between us and the bickering Axis leadership is the fact that they are a bunch of egoists who only desire power and always get turned on by the secrecy surrounding their organization. We GET IT, you are powerful and can fuck us at any time. AWESOME! We can all nuke each other and sit above our corpses drinking vodka, hailing our organization's power and awesome uber influence and our apparent immortality. Great RP indeed. Might as well try it in the real world if we are so arrogant to ONLY desire victory. I do not want to win and you should all get that straightened inside your blurred heads.

Both Yankees and Xanathos miss the whole damn point. This is a fucking game for crying out loud. I honestly don't understand what's upsetting you two. Sorry, but in my eyes, and probably in others' too, you two are a couple of whining hypocrites who hold dear to their massive alliance RP deal and are afraid to lose it. Maybe you don't have time, but WE don't care about that. Fair enough? I am going to RP the Trigunian crisis, if CS goes along with me. The NATO may intervene or not, it's up to your judgment Yankees. It's not my fault that there are inactive bump kins shitting all over Terra and fucking completely such a simple game with their pretentious political views and childish thinking. Such kind of behavior led to this debate, and if those baboons in Trigunia prefer to fuck us all around with their inactivity then we should stop RPing anyway.

You see, that's your problem right there. You want to go ahead with the civil war no matter what and no one can say anything. Let me put it to you this way, there is NO civil war of the other players in trigunia don't do anything.

George, I will say it once again. I don't care about alliances or anything related to alliances. I am merely pointing out the flaws with your RP which you seem to completely ignore. Things cannot go your way all the time.

I don't know what Xanathos intentions are but I can tell you that I never intended to stop your RP. I made suggestions as to how it had to be done. There are inactive players in this game and you have to learn to live with it. Yes, they can screw up our RP every once in a while but that's how it is.

My point is: There is no Civil War if the other players don't do anything nor do they know what's going on. That's as easy as it gets. You cannot force your way through.

I'm really deeply uninterested in this conflict, I have a cursory interest and am willing to become more involved if either side courts my assistance, but that is beside the point.

Anyways, I'm going to have to disagree with your interpretation, Mr. Yankees. You are making the assumption that, since the Trigunian opposition is completely inactive from the forums, if they do not consent and do not post no civil war is happening. I disagree. The wars and events on the forums are entirely RP constructs that have no bearing on the game mechanics. Therefore, actions can be assumed to be taking place even if only one person posts one side, provided those opposing them never explicitly come onto the forums and say that it is not happening. If someone explicitly denies their consent, than the event can be assumed not to have happened. By being inactive, the Trigunian opposition simply is effectively abstaining on the actions taken on the forum, which ultimately makes no difference because nothing that happens on the forum has any bearing on the game itself. If George wants to intervene for the Trigunian opposition and as such RPs for the Trigunian opposition, I do not see anything majorly wrong with that, so long as the Trigunian opposition being represented does not explicitly voice their lack of consent to the idea. Again, since everything on the forums is essentially irrelevant to the game itself, I do not see why we should stop activity on the forums do to inactivity of some players who are in the game but not on the forum. If the outcomes of wars and so forth on the forum affected the game, than obviously I would feel differently, but at present I think the highest goal the forum can pursue is high-class RP. I'm thus going to weigh in on the side of c'est la vie and say let them get on with their make-believe war without all the goddamn finger-wagging.

Jethro, I think you are making an assumption yourself. There is no evidence to indicate what they feel towards this "civil war." You say that if they don't come to the forums, they are "abstaining." Yes, that's a possibility. The other possibility is that they either don't want it, in which case they ignore it, or they simply don't know about it. So, it could go both ways. Your interpretation is as good as mine.

I don't know what has happened to people lately that they just want to start wars constantly, mainly without consent.

To George and the others: If you feel that I am trying to stop you, I can't change your feelings. Not interested in doing so either. It's illogical to fight a civil war with only one side potentially even knowing the existence of a civil war. Aside from that, it has gotten to the point in this game where if you try to RP something, there is always going to be an alliance trying to intervene or fight you, ect. That's just how it is. I don't like it any more than you do but that's just the way it works. That's the price we paid for forming military alliances such as the GPO, NATO, the Axis, and heck even Nova Terra.

Remember, no one is stopping you from doing anything. At least, I am not.

If the Trigunian opposition isn't even aware of the existence of a civil war that changes things a bit. I was under the impression they simply were not the slightest bit interested in RPing a war. They should at least be informed about this thread, after that I would consider their silence an abstention.

I don't approve of starting wars without consent when the two parties in question are active enough to care about the action/war and object to it. Since the actions on the forums have no real effect, if someone doesn't care about what happens on the forum I would say that actions with them/against them should be considered kosher so long as they are reasonable and accepted by the general Particracy community. We are forgetting that all of these wars and forum actions have no tangible value at all, they only have the value we assign to them because we care about them. I'm not a fan of fighting someone who isn't posting anything in response, but I don't see why we should bear down on those who do (I'm not saying you are, I'm speaking more generally here). As I said, I care very little about this conflict itself, I just had to throw in my own little opinion.
