Virginatos found dead in his cabin; First Military Command disbanded, fleet returns to Kalopia

It's a sad event indeed. The day prior to the commencement of the FMC's military attack upon the Trigunian rebel forces and Mr. Virginatos is discovered dead in his cabin. His body was seated in his chair, and his head was thrown upon his executive documents, blood spilled all over the desk. Our reporter was there to cover the whole story. It seems that Mr. Egoist was shot on his forehead, leading to instant death, as military doctors estimate. The entire military crew is on alert, interrogating the soldiers and sailors and attempting to locate the traitor and murderer. Many would like to call this as a military casualty, but commanders are unsure if the executioner is still on board the ship. The body was more than one day's old. There is a growing fear within GPO rankings that rival organizations have made their move. The party members of the KRC back in Kalopia blame explicitly the NATO for this murder.

Nevertheless, no announcements have been made. The First Military Command has been disbanded and the fleet is returning back to Kalopia, for Egoist's funeral and the rest proceedings. Without a leader, there is no history. The official GPO position shall be announced soon with a global announcement.

NATO sends its deepest condolences to the members of the GPO. This is a very tragic death.

We do not take any responsibility for such a barbaric act. NATO would never make use of such actions of violence.

We do recommend the GPO to look into Nova Terra. Lodamun's intelligence believes this was a planned assassination by Nova Terra. Lodamun's President would be willing to discuss such information in private should the GPO request the assistance of Lodamun in finding the murderer.

Sincerely,

Roland Lincoln
Vice President of the United Republics of Lodamun
Chairman of the Council of NATO
Fighting for the people, supported by the people.

OOC: To communicate with the GPO you can address either AngryM or Opakidabar. I no longer participate in this.

You do know who is the murderer? Haven't read any stories lately, have you (not Yankees only)?

OOC: What an amusing train-wreck to watch. . .I have to give the Axis-basher's props though for their continuous free publicity. As well, I read your story George and it was well, an interesting and opaque piece. Hope to see more, genuinely. Now, I'm out of here before the lot of you get nastier.

The Medinat Yeudi Hadash haBeiteynu, Terran Union for Schultzism, the Democratic Socialist International, and the Zionist International offer their condolences for the death of Egoist Virginatos. The ZI knights him Sir Egoist Virginatos, GCJH; the Terran Union for Schultzism canonizes him as Saint Egoist Virginatos of Kalopia; the DSI will fight the CZP for him (and for the fun of it).
