Statement from Gillian Salmond, Prime Minister of Egelion follows.

The people of Egelion care not for the squabbling of long forgotten royal houses. Egelion is a Republic, it has been a Republic for hundreds of years, the current parliament is overwhelmingly Republican. In the most recent election the DRP won a grand total of 19 seats out of 450. The people of Egelion do not want a monarchy and care even less for the squabbling of various factions of an ideology which they do not support. ANY member of ANY house found to breaking ANY law in Egelion or harming public order will be arrested. We suggest the DRP desists from this ridiculous course of action and starts thinking about representing its constituents as at this point it has not voted on a single bill in many years.
