Malivian Invasion Affects Kirlawan Elections

The Malivian military is already calling their Kirlawan campaign a success after the Kirlawan People's Justice Party lost their plurality to the Democratic Freedom Movement. Additionally, the Urban Party of Kirlawan lost their position as Head of State to the Democratic Freedom Movement. The war declaration against Malivia has also bent sent back to the legislature for debate. Malivian officials are confident they begin renegotiation with the new Kirlawan administration.

The Democratic Freedom Movement's success was based on their non-hostile posturing towards us. The two parties that have actively opposed us have lost influence and confidence with the Kirlawan people. We are positive that our invasion has not only succeed militarily but politically as well.

Malivia Rebukes Jelbanian Invasion

Malivia has called the Jelbanian invasion "pointless" and "stupid" without any political goal involved. Head of Government Clarence Martinez has vowed a Jelbanian defeat. The Malivian active and reserve army is engaging the Jelbanian forces in the southern jungles. Malivian Generals are using the jungle environment to their advantage by pinning down the Jelbanian troops in constant fire fights. The Malivian government has called upon the Internationalist Monarchist League to assist Malivia in repelling the Jelbanian invasion.

Kirlawan War Statistics

[September 29, 2841]: Kirlawa has been under attack for 7 months now and Malivia has promised a cease fire. So far an estimated 5,300 people have died and damage to the country is estimated at 720 million KDI.

The Badaran government stated today, in a official announcement, that it is preparing to put in place economic sanctions againt Malivia after they rejected a offer by the Badaran government to negotiate a cease-fire between Malivia and Kirlawa. A Grand Viziers office spokesperson said off record that further Badaran involvement in this war was not inconceivable.

The deputy leader of the freedom party (deputy leader of the opposition in malivia) announced in a press conference,that the freedom party distanced itself from this war.

Malivia Departs from Kirlawa

[February 7th, 2842]The Malivian naval fleet has departed from the Kirlawan general area and is on a southeastern course. The fleet has been ordered to stay in International waters off the coast of Ikradon. The fleet is still on high alert with Malivian jets circling the Hunter Aircraft Carrier. The Malivian army has driven the Jelbanians back to the coast and is willing to negotiate their exit from Malivian soil.

Badara starts sending humanitarian aid to Kirlawa

Officials from the Badaran government have announced that they have started sending humanitarian aid to the war struck country of Kirlawa.
The first airforce planes, with onboard Badaran army medics and basic supplies, are allready heading for Kirlawa and ships full off relief aid will leave in a couple of days bound for Kirlawa's coastal cities.

Badaran officials have also stated that Yussuf Wazira, Grand Vizier of the Republic of Badara has invited the governments of Malivia and Kirlawa to hold peace talks on Badaran soil.
Once both parties have accepted the invitation, preperations for the talks will begin.

Jelbanians Break Out of Encirclement, Begin Shelling Syene

After 50,000 reinforcements arrived at the besieged port city of Rajin, Jelbanian forces have broken out of their encirclement, and have occupied some of the suburbs of Syene, the capital of Malivia. Jelbanian commanders decided, however, not to risk their limited forces, down to about 100,000 men, in a frontal assault against the city. Instead, after an ultimatum to surrender the city was rejected, it is being bombarded by heavy artillery and bombers in a systematic effort to level the city to the ground. The tactics used consist of identifying a small area of a few blocks, firing at the buildings in there until they are destroyed, then occupying the now-open area. There have already been more then 40,000 civilian casualties, which Grandmaster Jan Přmyslov says is "several million too few".

Malivian-Selucko Security and Trade Agreement Signed

After two years of negotiations, the Malivian Kommunist Party and the TCC Order of Sv Parnum have signed a historic agreement concerning the straight between the two nations. The articles of the treaty are as followed:

Article 1: The waters that separate Malivia and Selucko shall be referred to as the Malivian-Selucko Straight.

Article 2: The Malivian and Selucko government shall impose a fee of no less than 10% on all foreign shipping that enters the Malivian-Selucko Straight.

Article 3: Maliva and Selucko reserve the right to stop and inspect all commercial ships for drugs, weapons, toxic chemicals or any other good that may threaten the domestic security or either nation

Article 4: Malivia and Selucko reserve the right to turn away commercial ships from entering the Malivian-Selucko Straight.

Article 5: Malivian and Selucko ships are immune to this treaty but are required to follow already existing domestic laws.

Article 6: This treaty shall be enforced by military force if necessary. If a nation violates this treaty, the option to use force is automatic and does not require a war resolution.

Malivian Submarines have already sunk a cargo ship that failed to stop when crossing the straight, the nationality of the ship is unknown. Malivian transportation officials are currently charging the minimum of 10% except Jelbania which is at 100%. By the terms of this treaty, the waters between Selucko and Malivia are protected waters. Jelbanian ships off the coast of Malivia are effectively trapped between the two navies.
