Dawn of the United Kerissian Socialist Republics

"I held the first meeting of the Communist Workers Committee in a dirty coffee shop in the slums of the city. Two dozen people came to that first meeting, and more than half left before I had even opened my mouth. Today, only four years later, I stand in the center of Rodshyadam before two dozen MILLION people, with countless more cramming themselves in every space available. In the past centuries, people have doubted the power of the worker. Greedy capitalists and corrupt aristocrats have sat over us in their ivory towers, laughing at out attempts to take back what is rightfully ours. Yet today, you hear no laughs coming from those ivory towers. The bourgeoisie of the world have their eyes turned to the north on this chilly September night. They look upon a nation of workers free from the shackles of what others dared call 'democracy'. They look upon a nation that has no ivory towers. And they fear. Fear for their riches, their power, and their corrupt institutions. They have seen how, in less than half a decade, an organized force of workers have regained control of not one. Not two. But THREE nations. They whisper in small frail voices, wondering what had been brought to the rotting and stagnant cesspool we call Terra. For now, the United Kerissian Socialist States stand. But if, in four years, three nations have been taken back by the workers, what will happen in ten years, twenty years? Kerissian communists of the past made the mistake of limiting the revolution to the states of Keris. But we will not make that same mistake. The revolution begins here. It begins now. But it shall not end here. It shall end when every worker in all of Terra has lost their chains of servitude. Workers of Keris, rejoice on this night, and be festive with you comrades. For tomorrow there is much work to be done."

The crowds stood silent as General Secretary Sergei Petrov walked off the stage. Somewhere in the middle of the millions someone screamed "Death to Capitalism, All Hail Communism!" These words broke the pin-drop atmosphere and the crowd began cheering and screaming until discerning anything said was impossible. The Revolution had truly begun.

"Comrade General Secretary Sergey Alekseevich Petrov,

The Dolgavan branch of the KCCP wishes you long years and huge success in leading Proletariat revolution. The work done by the KCCP in helping Dolgava will be in the hearts of our people for centuries.
This is a day when we come to you as beggars. In the Dolgavan history our farmers, our workers have always been enslaved by power hungry blood suckers of different kind. Slave traders, landlords, capitalists. We have been alone and there have been only some merry moments when Dolgava was joined with Triguniya into one Union - The UKSR. Then our proletariat truly flourished. Then children were seen happily dancing in the streets and poor men celebrating their lives. It was the true work of former great comrades General Secretaries and it was their accomplishment.
We ask the mighty Triguniyan people, the glorious Red Army and the one and only Party to consider inclusion of Dolgava into the caring arms of the UKSR. Please help accomplish dream of Dolgavan generations and accept our request. Please ensure security and prosperity of communist revolution in Dolgava! We need your help in purging our nation from contra-revolutionaries, bourgeois and other spies and enemies of working people.

Awaiting for world revolution,
Comrade Chairman of Dolgavan SSR
Boris Janovich Zakis"

President Ian Jones of Egelion shuffled his papers, uneasily. From Reverend to President, his career path had been unique. He stood up.

"I have always been a supporter of international cooperation." He began. "I have always supported cooperation particularly with our neighbours on Keris. I am a proud patriot, but I am also an internationalist, today however, today I fear for Keris. A black cloud is spreading across Keris, a scourge, the spectre of Communism. I consider myself to be left-wing. I am proud of the Christian Social People's Party's commitment to the poor, but Communism, at least in the form advocated by the KCCP I cannot abide. The labourer is not made more equal by removal of his rights and freedoms, nor by making him poorer. He cannot have equality forced onto him, he must choose it. Yet on Keris there is now the United Kerissian Socialist Republics who, I fear, desire just that. Egelion now stands alone on Keris, the last free nation. Yet we will not attack or in any way provoke a war. That is not our way. We are happy to live in peace with the UKSR, as long as they are happy to do the same with us. We will not let fear dictate our policies. Yet we will remain free, we will remain united, we will remain Egelian. Communist rebel groups are illegal and will be dealt with seriously and effectively, and we ask the Governor of Caille and the rest of the Egelion Democrats to put national unity first in this case. I also have sympathy with the anti-communist protests happening in our nation, but I ask the citizens of Egelion not to polarise the situation further and to keep calm. We are Egelian, and we should remain united."

Ai Anais, the fifteen year old public face of the New Endralonese Communist Party, gave an address in Cetatea Albă, that was televised nationally, as rumors circulated around the divided capital.

"For over six decades, this miserable nation has worshiped two false idols. The first is my own grandmother, who this nation has watched fall from vapid pre-teen to greedy and impulsive teen, spoilt adult, and finally, the lunatic she has become. The second, is the greed and avarice of capitalism, which dear old gramma represents, and which has sustained this domestic cancer since the death of my great grandmother."

"I know, because for all the apparent privilege I was raised in, I was just as much a dog of the system as you. Literally, when you consider how me and my family were raised - nothing but animals to be trotted out occasionally, and kept in cages when it did not please my dear old gramma to rub our belly or teach us a new trick. Five years ago, I escaped, and made my way into the underground. There, I learned of the new way for our nation."

"Centuries ago, New Endralon was the center of world Communism. It was the hedonistic South and West which forced upon us their corrupted values of capitalism. It was they who subjected our nation to misery - the misery we still suffered from until today. As I grew, and as we all grew, the Cultul which has misgoverned this nation began to collapse, both from without as the opposition took the majority, and from within, as the cultul realized the truth - Jade is no goddess."

"My fellow Kerissians, and my fellow Kuzakijin. My countrymen and countrywomen. Yesterday, there were rumors that I was being arrested for treason against the Zeita. The truth is... The truth is that Zeita Jade Anais has fallen into a coma, and will likely never recover. The Cult of Jade Anais is effectively disbanded, the dozen or so people who manipulated it to their personal benefit are dead, and its remaining leadership and loyalists have pledged their fealty to me, and the New Communist Party, as the heir of Jade's blood. While there will be a difficult transition ahead, I have forged ahead, and asked that our nation be part of the greater Keris community, by joining with the UKSR, so that together, we may rebuild the glory and honor that our continent once beheld. So that we may lift each other into the workers paradise long promised.

I urge those remaining armed elements of the Cultul to come forward, and submit to your new leadership. Your misplaced loyalty will not be punished. Let us step forward, together, and rebuild New Endralon into a nation that can hold its head up high again, as part of a greater community of United Keris."
