Majatran Cup IV - 2926

Welcome to the fourth Majatran Cup, which is to be held in 2926. As per the treaty that created the Majatran Cup, the United Badaran Emirates will be our hosts, the matches will be played in the following cities, Bier Qassem, Abu Yacub, Dar al Salam and Al-Kamelah. So far, the following countries have ratified this treaty, and are eligible to participate in the games. Countries must ratify the treaty no later than December of 2926 to be able to participate. There is to be no cheating, as this is to be a completely random process. All game play is random and fair.

OOC: As with the previous Majatran Cups, i will be using http://www.random.org/ to score goals, to ensure fairness. For realism, no team will score more than 5 goals. The groups I choose will have nothing to do with the previous games, and will be completely random. I will be using a point system identical to the previous two cups. Three points a win, one a tie, zero (nil) a loss.

* Vanuku won after penalties, it was still 0-0 after extra time.

In case of a draw in regular time in the Semi-Final, Third Place Game and the Final, 2x 15 minutes of extra time will be played, with the "Golden Goal" principle (first one to score wins). If no winner comes out after extra time (still a draw), a penalty shootout will determine the winner. In case of equal point in the group fase, the goal difference will determine which team (# 1 and 2 of the group) goes to the Semi-Finals.

And the winner is...........Vanuku!!

Vanuku won their second Majatran Cup after defeating the host country, Al'Badara, in a very entertaining game. Neither team was able to score during regular time and after extra time the score was still 0-0. Only after taking where the Vanukuans able to defeat the Al'Badaran side. Badaran midfielder Hassan Al-Mafan, Bier Qassem United, missed the sixth penalty for Al'Badara. It has to be noted that the first title Vanuku had won, they also played against the host nation in the final. The third place match was won by Cobura, who defeated Yishelem & Beiteynu. The Coburans scored a late goal in the 90th minute, the end score was 1-0 in favor of the Coburans.
