Majatran Cup V - 2932

OOC: I contacted parties in Kafuristan about them creating the thread, but got no response. Thus, the games will be held in Kafuristan but I'll be doing all the technical work.

Welcome to the fifth Majatran Cup, which is to be held in 2932. As per the treaty that created the Majatran Cup, the Majatran Republic of Kafuristan will be our hosts. So far, the following countries have ratified this treaty, and are eligible to participate in the games. Countries must ratify the treaty no later than December of 2932 to be able to participate. There is to be no cheating, as this is to be a completely random process. All game play is random and fair.

Ratified Countries
Selucia
Yishelem & Beiteynu
Barmenistan
Al'Badara
Kafuristan
Cobura
Vanuku
Zardugal
Jelbania

Group A
Vanuku (1)
Yishelem & Beiteynu (4)
Zardugal (5)
Kafuristan (8)
Jelbania (9)

Group B
Cobura (2)
Al'Badara (3)
Selucia (6)
Barmenistan (7)

OOC: As with the previous Majatran Cups, i will be using http://www.random.org/ to score goals, to ensure fairness. For realism, no team will score more than 5 goals. The groups I choose will be based off of the newly created CMSN (Committee of Majatran Soccer Nations) rankings. I will be using a point system identical to the previous three cups. Three points a win, one a tie, zero (nil) a loss.

Members of the Al'Badara National Team Celebrate after scoring the "Golden Goal" in the 121st total minute of play, and after the Shoot-Out, which both teams scored an even three goals. Mohammad Bakr scored the game winner.

This match was easily the most epic finish of any Majatran Cup game in history, let alone the final. Both teams would not let in - even when Al'Badara was down 2-0 80 minutes in, only to come back and score two crucial goals in ten minutes, and save the day for their country. After surviving the shoot-out, and an extra 31 minutes of play, Mohammad Bakr (pictured below, playing for his club team, FC Vashti) scored the game winning goal. Vanuku, the favorite to win this year's cup, was in shape to take their second straight and third Majatran Cup. They played excellent soccer, but it wasn't perfect playing as was the Al'Badaran team's was. Overall, it was a great game.
